རང་ཡུལ་གྱི་ཐུན་མོང་མ་ཡིན་པའི་མཚན་མའམ་སྤུ་རིས་མ་འདྲེས་པར་འཛིན་པར་བྱེད་པས་རབ་ཏུ་ཕྱེ་བའི་སེམས་བྱུང་དེ། འདུ་ཤེས་ཀྱི་མཚན་ཉིད།
Definition of Discrimination: A mental factor distinguished by functioning to apprehend the unique signs or details of its object without mix-up.

དེ་དུ་མ་སྤུངས་པས་རབ་ཏུ་ཕྱེ་བ། འདུ་ཤེས་ཀྱི་ཕུང་པོའི་མཚན་ཉིད།
Definition of the Discrimination Aggregate: The above distinguished by the aggregation of many.

དབྱེ་ན། བདག་རྐྱེན་གྱི་སྒོ་ནས་མིག་གི་འདུས་ཏེ་རེག་པ་ལས་བྱུང་པའི་དེ་སོགས་དྲུག་ཡོད།
Divisions (6): That arisen from contact through the assembly of the eye-faculty as the empowering condition and so forth.

• Non-conceptual discrimination: the apprehension as signs མཚན་མར་འཛིན་པ་རྟོག་མེད་ཀྱི་འདུ་ཤེས།
• Non-conceptual discrimination: the apprehension of varieties བཀྲ་བར་འཛིན་པ་རྟོག་མེད་ཀྱི་འདུ་ཤེས་གཉིས་སུ་འདུ།

མཚན་མར་འཛིན་པ་ཡིན་ན་མཚན་འཛིན་ཡིན་པས་མ་ཁྱབ་སྟེ། ངར་འཛིན་པ་ཡིན་ན་ངར་འཛིན་ཡིན་པས་མ་ཁྱབ་པའི་ཕྱིར་ཏེ།
བདག་ཏུ་འཛིན་ན་བདག་འཛིན་ཡིན་པས་མ་ཁྱབ་པའི་ཕྱིར།
If it is an apprehension as signs, then it is not pervaded by being apprehension of signs because if it is the apprehension as "I", then it is not pervaded by being the apprehension of "I"; because apprehension as self is not pervaded by apprehension of self.
