མིག་གི་རྣམ་པར་ཤེས་པའི་ཐུན་མོང་མ་ཡིན་པའི་བདག་རྐྱེན་བྱེད་པའི་རིགས་སུ་གནས་པས་རབ་ཏུ་ཕྱེ་བའི་ནང་གི་གཟུགས་ཅན་དང་བར་དམིགས་པ།
མིག་གི་དབང་པོ་གཟུགས་ཅན་པའི་མཚན་ཉིད།
Definition: That observed as a clear inner form distinguished by abiding in the class of acting as the uncommon empowering condition of the eye-consciousness.

མིག་གི་དབང་པོ་ནི། དབང་རྟེན་དབུས་ན་དབྱིབས་ཟར་མའི་མེ་ཏོག་གམ། གོ་སྙོད་ཀྱི་འབྲུ་ལྟ་བུ། ངོ་བོ་གཟུགས་ཀྱི་སྐྱེ་མཆེད་སྣང་བའི་ཤིན་ཏུ་དང་བ་གཅིག་ཡོད།
The eye-faculty exists in the middle of the faculty-support, its shape is like a flax flower or cumin seed, and its nature is a very clear [form] for the appearance of form-sources.

མིག །གསལ་བྱེད། འདྲེན་བྱེད། འཁྲིད་བྱེད། ལྟ་བ་སོགས་རྣམ་གྲངས་སོ།
Eye, clarifier, leader, guide, view, and so forth are synonyms.

Up a level: The five faculties
