Form aggregate

གཟུགས་རུང་རྣམ་པ་གཉིས་གང་རུང་གི་སྒོ་ནས་གཟུགས་སུ་རུང་བ་དུ་མ་སྤུངས་པའི་རིགས་སུ་གནས་པས་རབ་ཏུ་ཕྱེ་བ། གཟུགས་ཀྱི་ཕུང་པོའི་མཚན་ཉིད།
Definition: That distinguished by abiding in the class of the aggregation of many that are suitable as form by way of either of the two aspects of being suitable as form.

སྤྱིར་གཟུགས་སུ་རུང་བ་གཟུགས་ཀྱི་མཚན་ཉིད།
In general, the definition of form is: That suitable as form.

Divisions (11): དབྱེ་ན། བཅུ་གཅིག་ཡོད། (Exhaustive division)

• The five objects: forms and so forth གཟུགས་སོགས་དོན་ལྔ།
• The five faculties: eye- and so forth མིག་སོགས་དབང་པོ་ལྔ།
• Non-revealing forms རྣམ་པར་རིག་བྱེད་མ་ཡིན་པའི་གཟུགས།

གཟུགས་གཟུགས་ཅན་གཟུགས་ཕུང་བེམ་པོ་རྣམས་དོན་གཅིག
The following are mutually inclusive:

• Form
• Physical (form-possessor)
• Form aggregate
• Matter

ཁོ་ན་རེ། སྒྲ་ཆོས་ཅན། མིག་ཤེས་ཀྱི་གཟུང་བྱ་ཡིན་པར་ཐལ། གཟུགས་ཡིན་པའི་ཟེར་ན།
Someone says: The subject - sound - it follows that it is the apprehended-object of an eye-consciousness because of being form.

མ་ཁྱབ་སྟེ། དབང་པོ་གཟུགས་ཅན་པ་ཆོས་ཅན། ཐལ་ཕྱིར།
Response: No pervasion. The subject - the physical sense-faculties - that follows because of that.

i.e.: If it is form, then it is not pervaded by being the apprehended-object of an eye-consciousness.

དབང་པོ་ལྔ་ཞེས་སྨོས་པས་ཡིད་དབང་གཅོད། དོན་ལྔ་ཞེས་སྨོས་པས་ཆོས་ཁམས་གཅོད།
ཉིད་ཅེས་ངེས་གཟུང་གི་ཚིག་གིས་འདི་རྣམས་གང་རུང་མ་ཡིན་ན་གཟུགས་མ་ཡིན་དགོས་ཞེས་པའོ།
Saying "five faculties" negates the mental-faculty and saying "five objects" negates the phenomena constituent; the restrictive particle "just" expresses that if it is not one of these, then it is necessarily not form.
