Space constituent

བྱེ་བྲག་སྨྲ་བ་ན་རེ། བུ་ག་ནམ་མཁའ་ཞེས་བྱ་བ་ནམ་མཁའི་ཁམས་ཡིན། དེ་ཡང་ཉིན་མོ་སྣང་བ་དང༌། མཚན་མོ་མུན་པའི་རང་བཞིན་ཞེས་ཟེར།
Vaibhashika say: "Open space" is the space constituent; it is in the nature of the illumination of day and the darkness of night.

ལོ་ཞེས་པ་སློབ་དཔོན་དང་མདོ་སྡེ་པ་ལ་མ་རངས་པའི་ཚིག་ཡིན་པས།
The terminating particle indicates disagreement between Vasubhandu and the Sautrantika.

Therefore, there are four: ནམ་མཁའི་ཁམས་ལ་བཞི་ཡོད་དེ།

Ornamental space རྒྱན་ནམ་མཁའ།
e.g. the blue coloured sky of Jambudvipa, the yellow coloured sky of Unpleasant Sound
འཛམ་བུ་གླིང་པའི་ནམ་མཁའ་ཁ་དོག་སྔོན་པོའོ། སྒྲ་མི་སྙན་གྱི་ནམ་མཁའ་ཁ་དོག་སེར་པོ་ཡིན་པ་ལྟ་བུ།
Space allowing manifestation མངོན་པར་སྐབས་ཡོད་ཀྱི་ནམ་མཁའ།
e.g. the whitish intermediate illumination བར་གྱི་སྣང་བ་སྐྱ་སེང་བ་ལྟ་བུ།
Open space བུ་ག་ནམ་མཁའ།
e.g. the space in the mouth or the space pervading the individual constituents
ཁའི་བུ་ག་འམ། ཁམས་སོ་སོ་ལ་ཁྱབ་པའི་ནམ་མཁའ་ལྟ་བུ།
Compounded space འདུས་བྱས་ཀྱི་ནམ་མཁའ་དང་བཞི་ཡོད་པའི་ཕྱིར།
e.g. the factor of negating obstructive tangible-objects ཐོགས་བཅས་ཀྱི་རེག་བྱ་བཀག་པའི་ཆ་ལྟ་བུ།
