Topics and order of the chapters

གནས་བརྒྱད་ཀྱི་གོ་རིམ་འདི་ལྟར་འཆད་པའི་རྒྱུ་མཚན་ཡོད་དེ།
There is a reason for the explanation having such an order of chapters:

1. In terms of the Abhidharmakosha indicating contaminated and uncontaminated in general, there is the first chapter indicating the constituents
   ཆོས་མངོན་པ་མཛོད་ཀྱི་ཟག་བཅས་ཟག་མེད་སྤྱིར་བསྟན་པའི་དབང་དུ་བྱས་ནས་གནས་དང་པོ་ཁམས་བསྟན་པའི་གནས་བསྟན།
2. Since that only mentions "The twelve explained as inner are the faculties" [v1.49d], then the second chapter indicates the faculties in particular དེར་བཅུ་གཉིས་ནང་གི་བཤད་དབང་པོ། །ཞེས་མིང་ཙམ་ཞིག་བསྟན་པའི་དབང་དུ་བྱས་ནས།
   དབང་པོ་བྱེ་བྲག་ཏུ་འཆད་པ་ལ་གནས་གཉིས་པ་དབང་པོ་བསྟན་པའི་གནས་བསྟན།
3. Since that only mentions "The afflictions of the three realms" [v2.73c], then the third chapter extensively explains the three realms (the world-system) དེར་ཁམས་གསུམ་པ་ཡི་ཉོན་མོངས་ཅན། །ཞེས་མིང་ཙམ་ཞིག་བསྟན་པའི་དབང་དུ་བྱས་ནས་ཁམས་གསུམ་རྒྱས་པར་སྟོན་པ་གནས་གསུམ་པ་འཇིག་རྟེན་སྟོན་པའི་གནས་བསྟན།
4. Since that contained and container world-systems arise from uncommon actions that are their causes, then in order to extensively explain the presentation of actions, the fourth chapter indicates actions
   སྣོད་བཅུད་ཀྱི་འཇིག་རྟེན་དེ་ཡང་རང་ཉིད་ཀྱི་རྒྱུར་གྱུར་བའི་ཐུན་མོང་མ་ཡིན་པའི་ལས་ལས་བྱུང་བ་ཡིན་ཞེས་བསྟན་བའི་སྒོ་ནས་ལས་ཀྱི་རྣམ་གཞག་རྒྱས་པར་འཆད་པ་ལ།གནས་བཞི་པ་ལས་བསྟན་པའི་གནས་བསྟན།
5. Since those actions are motivated by the subtle-increasers, then in order to extensively explain the presentation of the afflictions, the fifth chapter indicates the subtle-increasers
   ལས་དེ་ཡང་ཕྲ་རྒྱས་ཀྱིས་ཀུན་ནས་བླངས་པ་ཡིན་ཞེས་བསྟན་པའི་སྒོ་ནས་ཉོན་མོངས་ཀྱི་རྣམ་གཞག་རྒྱས་པར་འཆད་པ་ལ།
   གནས་ལྔ་པ་ཕྲ་རྒྱས་སྟོན་པའི་གནས་བསྟན།
6. In order to indicate that both contaminated actions and afflictions must be abandoned by special paths and persons, the sixth chapter indicates paths and persons ཟག་བཅས་ཀྱི་ལས་ཉོན་གཉིས་པོ་དེ་ཡང་ལམ་དང་གང་ཟག་ཁྱད་པར་ཅན་གྱིས་སྤོང་དགོས་ཞེས་བསྟན་པར་བྱེད་པ་ལ། གནས་དྲུག་པ་ལམ་དང་གང་ཟག་སྟོན་པའི་གནས་བསྟན།
7. In order to explain the ten knowledges mentioned there in particular, the seventh chapter indicates exalted wisdom དེར་སྨོས་པའི་ཤེས་པ་བཅུ་བྱེ་བྲག་ཏུ་འཆད་པ་ལ་གནས་བདུན་པ་ཡེ་ཤེས་བསྟན་པའི་གནས་བསྟན།
8. Since it says "If the mind is in equipoise, reality will be known exactly as it is.", then in order to extensively explain the concentrations and formless absorptions as well as the common qualities that depend upon those in particular, the eighth chapter indicates the absorptions.
   སེམས་མཉམ་པར་བཞག་ན་ཡང་དག་པ་ཇི་ལྟ་བ་བཞིན་དུ་རབ་ཏུ་ཤེས་སོ། །ཞེས་གསུངས་པས། བསམ་གཟུགས་དང་དེ་ལ་བརྟེན་པའི་ཐུན་མོང་བའི་ཡོན་ཏན་བྱེ་བྲག་ཏུ་རྒྱས་པར་འཆད་པ་ལ། གནས་བརྒྱད་པ་སྙོམས་འཇུག་བསྟན་པའི་གནས་བསྟན་པའི་ཕྱིར་རོ།
