Attainment of the ten masteries (Gomde)

ཁོ་ན་རེ། ས་འདིར་ཉོན་མོངས་ཐམས་ཅད་ཟད་པར་བཤད་ན་འོ་ན། ས་བརྒྱད་པ་བ་ཆོས་ཅན། སྲིད་པར་སྐྱེ་བ་མི་ལེན་པར་ཐལ། ཉན་མོངས་ཟད་པར་སྤངས་པའི་ཕྱིར།
སྲིད་པར་སྐྱེ་བ་ལེན་པ་ལ་རྒྱུ་ལས་ཉོན་དགོས་པའི་ཕྱིར།
Someone says: If it is explained that all afflictions are exhausted on this ground, then the subject - the eighth grounder - it follows that they do not take birth in samsara because they have completely abandoned the afflictions; because in order to take birth in samsara, they require its causes: karma and afflictions.

འདོད་ན། སངས་རྒྱས་ཀྱི་ཆོས་རྫོགས་པར་བྱེད་མི་ནུས་པར་ཐལ། འདོད་པའི་ཕྱིར།
If accepted: It follows that they are unable to perfect the qualities of a Buddha because the above has been accepted.

ཁྱབ་སྟེ། སངས་རྒྱས་ཀྱི་ཆོས་རྫོགས་པར་བྱེད་པ་ལ་སྐྱེ་བ་དུ་མར་བརྒྱུད་ནས་ལམ་ལ་སློབ་དགོས་པའི་ཕྱིར། ཞེ་ན།
There is pervasion because in order to perfect the qualities of a Buddha, it is necessary to train in the path over many births.

ས་བརྒྱད་པ་བ་ཆོས་ཅན། ལས་ཉོན་གྱི་དབང་གིས་འཁོར་བར་འཁོར་བ་འགག་མོད་ཀྱང་། སྐྱེ་བ་བརྒྱུད་ནས་ཚོགས་རྫོགས་པར་བྱེད་པ་མི་འགལ་ཏེ།
ཚེ་ལ་དབང་བ་སོགས་དབང་རྣམ་པ་བཅུ་པོ་ཐོབ་པར་འགྱུར་ཞིང་དབང་བཅུ་པོ་དེ་དག་གིས་སམ་ནང་མཚན་སྐྱེ་བ་ལ་དབང་བས་
ཡིད་ཀྱི་རང་བཞིན་གྱི་ལུས་ལེན་པའི་སྒོ་ནས་སྲིད་པའི་འགྲོ་བར་བྱང་སེམས་རང་གི་ལུས་ཀྱི་བདག་ཉིད་སྣ་ཚོགས་སྟོན་པར་བྱེད་པར་འགྱུར་བ་ཡིན་པའི་ཕྱིར།
Response: The subject - the eighth grounder - despite having ceased cycling in samsara through the force of karma and afflictions, that is not contradictory with completing the collections over [many] births because they have attained the ten masteries, such as mastery over lifetime, and through these ten masteries (specifically the mastery over over birth) they enter samsara by way of taking a mental-body, thereby the bodhisattva displays their body in various natures.
