Compassion observing the non-observed

སེམས་ཅན་བདེན་སྟོང་དུ་ཚད་མས་གྲུབ་ཟིན་པའི་གང་ཟག་གི་རྒྱུད་ཀྱི་སྙིང་རྗེ་གང་ཞིག
བདེན་མེད་ཀྱིས་ཁྱད་པར་དུ་བྱས་པའི་སེམས་ཅན་ལ་དམིགས་ནས་སྡུག་བསྔལ་དང་བྲལ་བར་འདོད་པའི་རྣམ་པ་ཅན་གྱི་བློ།

Definition of compassion observing the non-observed: That which is:

1. A compassion in the continuum of a person who has already established through valid cognition that sentient beings lack true existence; and
2. An awareness that observes sentient beings qualified by the lack of true existence and wishes that they are separated from suffering.

སྐབས་འདིར་དམིགས་པ་ནི་བདེན་གྲུབ་དང་། དེ་མེད་པ་ནི་བདེན་མེད་ལ་ཟེར་བ་ཡིན་པས། ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་བདེན་པར་མེད་པའི་སེམས་ཅན་ལ་དམིགས་པ་ལ་
སེམས་ཅན་ཞེས་པའི་བར་གྱི་ཚིག་མི་མངོན་པར་བྱས་ནས་དམིགས་མེད་ལ་དམིགས་པའི་སྙིང་རྗེ་ཞེས་བརྗོད།
Etymology: In this context, "observed" refers to true establishment and the non-existence of that refers to the lack of true existence. Therefore, that observing sentient beings that lack true existence is referred to as "compassion observing the non-observed" through omitting the middle words such as "sentient beings".
