Emptiness of other-nature
སངས་རྒྱས་རྣམས་འཇིག་རྟེན་དུ་འབྱུང་བའམ་མ་བྱུང་ཡང་རུང་དངོས་སུ་ན་སྟེ་དངོས་པོ་ཀུན་གྱི་རང་བཞིན་སྟོང་པ་ཉིད་ནི་ཆོས་ཅན།
གཞན་གྱི་དངོས་པོ་སྟེ་ངོ་བོར་རབ་ཏུ་བསྒྲགས་པ་ལ་རྒྱུ་མཚན་ཡོད་དེ།
The subject - the emptiness of the nature of all things in actuality, i.e. regardless of whether or not the Buddhas arise in the world - there is a reason for proclaiming "other things" or "other-nature" because:
- It is referred to as such due to being the supreme [thing] that is other than the conventional; and
ཀུན་རྫོབ་ལས་གཞན་མཆོག་ཏུ་གྱུར་པའི་རྒྱུ་མཚན་གྱིས་དེ་ལྟར་བརྗོད་པའི་ཕྱིར་དང་། - It is referred to as such due to being directly realised by supramundane exalted wisdom, which is other than worldly knowledge.
འཇིག་རྟེན་པའི་ཤེས་པ་ལས་གཞན་འཇིག་རྟེན་ལས་འདས་པའི་ཡེ་ཤེས་ཀྱིས་མངོན་སུམ་དུ་རྟོགས་པར་བྱ་བ་ཡིན་པས་དེ་ལྟར་བརྗོད་པའི་ཕྱིར།
ཡང་དག་པའི་མཐའ་མྱང་འདས་ཆོས་ཅན། གཞན་གྱི་དངོས་པོ་ཞེས་བརྗོད་པའི་རྒྱུ་མཚན་ཡོད་དེ།
འཁོར་བ་ལས་གཞན་ཕ་རོལ་ཏུ་གནས་པས་དེ་ལྟར་བརྗོད་པའི་ཕྱིར།
The subject - nirvana, the perfect end - there is a reason for referring to it as "other things" because it is referred to as such due to remaining on the other side to samsara.
འདིར་དངོས་སུ་ན་ཞེས་པ་རང་བཞིན་ལ་གོོ་རྒྱུ་ཡིན་ཏེ། ནག་ཚོས། མ་བྱུང་ཡང་ནི་རང་བཞིན་ཉིད་ཅེས་སྒྱུར་བའི་ཕྱིར་རོ།
In this context, "in actuality" should be understood as nature because Nagtso translated it as such.
དེ་ལ་གཞན་གྱི་སྒྲ་འཇུག་པའི་ཚུལ་ནི་གསུམ་སྟེ།
Regarding that, there are three referents for the term "other":
- Suchness that is the supreme other than the conventional
ཀུན་རྫོབ་ལས་གཞན་མཆོག་ཏུ་གྱུར་པ་དེ་བཞིན་ཉིད་དང་། - Non-conceptual exalted wisdom that is other than mundane consciousness
འཇིག་རྟེན་པའི་ཤེས་པ་ལས་གཞན་དུ་གྱུར་པ་རྣམ་པར་མི་རྟོག་པའི་ཡེ་ཤེས་དང་། - Nirvana that is on the other side to samsara
འཁོར་བ་ལས་གཞན་ཕ་རོལ་ཏུ་གྱུར་པ་མྱང་འདས་གསུམ་ལ་འཇུག་པའི་ཕྱིར།
གཞན་གྱི་ངོ་བོ་བདེན་པས་སྟོང་པའི་སྟོང་ཉིད་དེ་ཆོས་ཅན། གཞན་གྱི་དངོས་པོའི་སྟེ་ངོ་བོ་སྟོང་པ་ཉིད་ཡིན་ཏེ།
སྟོང་གཞི་གཞན་གྱི་ངོ་བོ་བདེན་པས་སྟོང་པའི་སྟོང་ཉིད་ཡིན་པའི་ཕྱིར།
The subject - the emptiness of true existence of other-nature - it is the emptiness of other things / other-nature because of being the emptiness of true existence of other-natures (as the bases of emptiness).
