Emptiness of the outer

ཤེས་བ་ཆོས་ཅན། གཟུགས་ནི་གཟུགས་རང་གི་ངོ་བོ་ཉིད་ཀྱིས་གྲུབ་པས་སྟོང་སྟེ།
རྒྱུ་མཚན་གང་གི་ཕྱིར་ན་གཟུགས་དེ་ཡི་རང་བཞིན་ནི་གཟུགས་ངོ་བོ་ཉིད་ཀྱིས་གྲུབ་པས་སྟོང་པ་དེ་ཡིན་པའི་ཕྱིར།
The subject - objects of knowledge - form is empty of establishment by own-nature because the nature of form is being empty of establishment by own-nature.

གཟུགས་དེ་བཞིན་དུ་སྒྲ་དང་དྲི་རོ་རེག་བྱ་དང་ཆོས་རྣམས་ཀྱང་ཆོས་ཅན། བདེན་པས་སྟོང་སྟེ། ཁྱོད་བདེན་པས་སྟོང་པ་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་རང་བཞིན་ཡིན་པའི་ཕྱིར།
Similar to form, the subject - sound, smell, taste, touch, and phenomena - they are empty of true existence because those being empty of true existence is their nature.

གཟུགས་སོགས་ཕྱི་ཡི་སྐྱེ་མཆེད་དྲུག་རང་བཞིན་གྱིས་མེད་པ་ཉིད་ཆོས་ཅན།
ཕྱི་རོལ་སྟོང་པ་ཉིད་དུ་འདོད་དེ། སྟོང་གཞི་ཕྱིའི་སྐྱེ་མཆེད་བདེན་པས་སྟོང་པའི་སྟོང་ཉིད་ཡིན་པའི་ཕྱིར།
The subject - the lack of inherent existence of the six outer sources (form and so forth) - they are asserted as emptiness of the outer because of being the emptiness of true existence of the outer sources (as the bases of emptiness).
