Etymology and surpassing concentration on the fifth ground (Gomde)

ས་ལྔ་པའི་ཡེ་ཤེས་ཆོས་ཅན། ཁྱོད་ལ་སྦྱངས་དཀའ་བའི་ས་ཞེས་བརྗོད་པའི་རྒྱུ་མཚན་ཡོད་དེ།
ཁྱོད་ལ་གནས་པའི་བྱང་སེམས་བདག་ཉིད་ཆེན་པོ་དེ། ལྷའི་བུའི་བདུད་རྣམས་ཀུན་གྱིས་ཀྱང་ཕམ་པར་ནུས་པ་མ་ཡིན་པས་དེ་ལྟར་བརྗོད་པའི་ཕྱིར།
The subject - the exalted wisdom of the fifth ground - there is a reason for calling it "Difficult to Overcome" because the Great Bodhisattva abiding on it cannot be defeated by any of the maras of Devaputra.

ས་ལྔ་པ་ཆོས་ཅན། བསམ་གཏན་གྱི་ཕར་ཕྱིན་ལྷག་པར་གྱུར་བ་ཡིན་ཏེ།
རང་གི་མི་མཐུན་ཕྱོགས་རྣམ་གཡེང་གིས་གཏན་ནས་མི་བརྫི་བའི་བསམ་གཏན་གྱི་ཕར་ཕྱིན་ཐོབ་པའི་ཕྱིར།
The subject - the fifth grounder - they are surpassing in the perfection of concentration because of having attained a perfection of concentration that is completely unaffected by distractions (i.e. its discordant class).

དེ་ཆོས་ཅན། བསམ་གཏན་ལྷག་པར་མ་ཟད་བདག་མེད་ཕྲ་རགས་ལ་མཁས་པའི་ཤེས་རབ་དང་ལྡན་ཏེ།
བློ་གྲོས་བཟང་པོས་འཕགས་པའི་བདེན་པ་བཞིའིེ་རང་བཞིན་ཞིབ་མོར་རྟོགས་པ་ལའང་ཆེས་ཤིན་ཏུ་མཁས་པ་ཐོབ་པ་ཡིན་པའི་ཕྱིར།
That subject, not only is their concentration surpassing, they also possess a wisdom skilled in coarse and subtle selflessness because of having attained great mastery in finely realising the nature of the four arya truths with their excellent intelligence.
