Presentation of the person (JS)

གདགས་གཞིའི་ཕུང་པོ་ལ་བརྟེན་ནས་ང་དང་ང་ཡི་བ་གང་རུང་གི་ཐ་སྙད་འཇུག་པའི་དོན་དེ། བདག་གི་མཚན་ཉིད།
Definition: The object upon which the terms "I" or "Mine" are applied in dependence upon the aggregates that are the basis of designation.

བདག་དང་གང་ཟག་སྐྱེས་བུ་སོགས་རྣམ་གྲངས་སོ།
Self, person, being, and so forth are synonymous.

Etymology: སྒྲ་བཤད་ཡོད་དེ།

• Self: due to being proud of the self བདག་ཏུ་ང་རྒྱལ་བས་ན་བདག་དང་།
• Person: due to being contaminated wrt object by way of the sources སྐྱེ་མཆེད་ཀྱི་སྒོ་ནས་ཡུལ་ལ་ཟག་པས་ན་གང་ཟག་དང།
• Being: due to possessing ability ནུས་པ་དང་ལྡན་པས་ན་སྐྱེས་བུ་དང་།
• Mine: due to benefiting the self བདག་ལ་ཕན་འདོགས་པས་ན་བདག་གི་བ་ཞེས་བྱ་བ་ཡིན་པའི་ཕྱིར།

དབྱེ་ན་བདག་དང་བདག་གི་བ་གཉིས་སོགས་ཡོད།
Divisions: "I" and "Mine"

བདག་འཇོག་ཚུལ་ཡོད་དེ། གདགས་གཞི་ལ་རྣམ་པ་བདུན་དུ་བཙལ་ཀྱང་མི་རྙེད་པས་ན་གདགས་གཞི་ལ་མིང་རྐྱང་ཕར་བཏགས་ལ་འཇོོག་པ་ཡིན་པའི་ཕྱིར།
Mode of positing the self: Since it is not found despite seeking it in the seven ways upon the basis of designation, it is posited as that designated out as mere name upon the basis of designation.

གདགས་གཞི་དེར་འཇོག་མི་རུང་སྟེ། བདག་དུ་མར་ཐལ་བ་སོགས་དང་། གདགས་གཞི་གདགས་ཆོས་ཀྱི་དབྱེ་བ་མེད་པར་འགྱུར་བའི་ཕྱིར།
It is not suitable to posit the basis of designation as that because there are the consequences of many selves and so forth and that the basis of designation and designated-phenomenon would become indivisible.
