Refutation of production from both (Gomde)

གཅེར་བུ་བ་རྣམས་ན་རེ། རྫ་བུམ་ནི་འཇིམ་པ་ལ་ལྟོས་ཏེ་བདག་སྐྱེ་དང་། རྫ་མཁན་དང་འཁོར་ལོ་སོགས་ལ་ལྟོས་ཏེ་གཞན་སྐྱེ་ཡིན་ལ། དེ་བཞིན་དུ་ནང་གི་ཆོས་ལའང་སྐྱེས་བུ་ནི་ཚེ་སྔ་མའི་སྲོག་ལ་ལྟོས་ཏེ་བདག་སྐྱེ་དང་། །ཕ་མ་སོགས་ལ་ལྟོས་ཏེ་གཞན་སྐྱེ་ཡིན་པས། བདག་གཞན་རེ་རེ་བ་ལ་བརྗོད་པའིེ་ཉེས་པ་དེ་རྣམས་ངེད་ལ་མེད་དོ་ཞེ་ན།
The Nirgranthas say: A clay pot is self-produced in relation to the clay and other-produced in relation to the potter, the wheel, and so forth. Similarly for inner-phenomena, the being is self-produced in relation to the life-force of the previous life and other-produced in relation to their parents and so forth. Therefore, the faults expressed in relation to production from self and other individually do not apply to us.

དེ་འགོག་པ་ལ། གཉིས་ལས་སྐྱེ་བ་ཞེས་སོགས་རྐང་པ་བཞི་གསུངས།
To refute that: "Production from both..." and so forth is stated [v6.98]

ཤེས་བྱ་ཆོས་ཅན། བདག་གཞན་རེ་རེ་བ་ལས་སྐྱེ་བ་མི་རིགས་པས་གཉིས་ཀ་ཚོགས་པ་ལས་སྐྱེ་བ་རིགས་པའི་ངོ་བོ་མ་ཡིན་ཏེ།
རྒྱུ་མཚན་གང་གི་ཕྱིར་ན་བདག་གཞན་རེ་རེ་བ་ལས་སྐྱེ་བ་ལ་བཤད་ཟིན་པའི་ཉེས་པ་དེ་དག་གཉིས་ཆར་ལས་སྐྱེ་བ་ལའང་ཐོག་ཏུ་བབས་པ་ཉིད་ཡིན་པའི་ཕྱིར་རོ།
The subject - objects of knowledge - since production from self and other are individually illogical, production from both is not logical because those faults already explained in relation to production from self and other individually also apply to production from both.

ཤེས་བྱ་ཆོས་ཅན། མདོར་ན་བདག་གཞན་གཉིས་ཀ་ལས་སྐྱེ་བ་འདི་ནི་འཇིག་རྟེན་གྱི་ཐ་སྙད་ལས་ཀྱང་ཡོད་པ་མིན་ཞིང་།
དེ་ཉིད་དུ་སྟེ་དོན་དམ་དུ་ཡང་འདོད་པར་རིགས་པ་མ་ཡིན་ཏེ།
རྒྱུ་མཚན་གང་གི་ཕྱིར་ན་བདག་གཞན་རེ་རེ་བ་ལས་ནི་སྐྱེ་བ་བདེན་པ་གཉིས་ཆར་དུ་འགྲུབ་པ་ཡོད་པ་མ་ཡིན་པའི་ཕྱིར།
The subject - objects of knowledge - in short, production from both self and other does not exist among worldly conventions and is also not logical to be asserted ultimately because production from self and other individually are not established in both truths.

དཔེར་ན་བྱེ་མ་གཅིག་ལ་ཏིལ་མར་འབྱིན་པའི་ནུས་པ་མེད་ན་ཆང་པོ་ལའང་མེད་དགོས་པ་བཞིན་ནོ།
For example, if a single grain does not have the ability to give sesame oil, then also a bunch will necessarily not.
