Surpassing joyous effort on the fourth ground (Gomde)

བརྩོན་འགྲུས་ཆོས་ཅན། སྦྱིན་སོགས་ཀྱི་ཡོན་ཏན་མ་ལུས་པ་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་རྗེས་སུ་འགྲོ་ལྡོག་བྱེད་དེ།
ཁྱོད་མེད་ན་སྦྱིན་སོགས་ཀྱི་ཡོན་ཏན་མི་འབྱུང་ལ། ཁྱོད་ལ་བརྟེན་ནས་སྦྱིན་སོགས་ཀྱི་ཡོན་ཏན་མ་ཐོབ་པ་འཐོབ་ཅིང་། ཐོབ་ཟིན་གོང་ནས་གོང་དུ་འཕེལ་བར་འགྱུར་བའི་ཕྱིར།
The subject - joyous effort - it has forward and reverse concomitance with all qualities such as generosity and so forth because 1) without it, qualities such as generosity and so forth do not arise and 2) in dependence upon it, unattained qualities such as generosity and so forth are attained and those already attained will increase more and more.

དེ་ཆོས་ཅན། ཡོན་ཏན་དེར་མ་ཟད་བསོད་ནམས་ཀྱི་ཚོགས་དང་། བློ་གྲོས་ཏེ་ཡེ་ཤེས་ཀྱི་ཚོགས་ནི་གཉིས་ཀྱི་རྒྱུ་ཡང་ཡིན་ཏེ།
ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་ཚོགས་གཉིས་གསར་དུ་བསོག་ཅིང་ཐོབ་ཟིན་གོང་ནས་གོང་དུ་འཕེལ་བར་བྱེད་པའི་ཕྱིར།
That subject, it not only has those qualities, but is also the cause of the two collections of merit and intelligence (i.e. exalted wisdom) because it newly accumulates the two collections and increases more and more those already attained.

ས་དེ་བཞི་པ་འོད་ནི་འཕྲོ་བ་ཆོས་ཅན། ཚོགས་གཉིས་ཀྱི་རྒྱུར་གྱུར་བའི་བརྩོན་འགྲུས་གང་དུ་ཆེས་འབར་བ་སྟེ་ལྷག་པར་གྱུར་པ་ཡིན་ཏེ།
ས་གསུམ་པར་ཐོབ་པའི་ཏིང་ངེ་འཛིན་གྱི་བསླབ་པ་ཁྱད་པར་ཅན་གྱིས་ཐོབ་པའི་ཤིན་སྦྱངས་ལེ་ལོ་གཏན་ནས་འགོག་བྱེད་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་སྐབས་སུ་ཐོབ་པའི་ཕྱིར།
The subject - the fourth ground, the Radiant - the joyous effort that is the cause of the two collections blazes even more, i.e. is surpassing, because the pliancy attained through the special training in concentration attained on the third ground functions to completely cease laziness and is attained on this ground.
