Three compassions (Jetsunpa)

སྙིང་རྗེ་གང་ཞིག སེམས་ཅན་མི་རྟག་པར་རྟོགས་པའི་ཤེས་རབ་དང་།
སེམས་ཅན་བདེན་མེད་དུ་རྟོགས་པའི་ཤེས་རབ་གང་རུང་གིས་དངོས་དུ་མ་ཟིན་པའི་ཤེས་པར་དམིགས་པ། སྙིང་རྗེ་དང་པོའི་མཚན་ཉིད།
Brief definition of the first compassion: That which is:

1. Compassion; and
2. Observed as a consciousness that is not directly conjoined by either the wisdom realising sentient beings to be impermanent or the wisdom realising sentient being to lack true existence.

Compassion observing sentient beings

སྙིང་རྗེ་གང་ཞིག སེམས་ཅན་མི་རྟག་པར་རྟོགས་པའི་ཤེས་རབ་ཀྱིས་དངོས་སུ་ཟིན་པ། སྙིང་རྗེ་གཉིས་པའི་མཚན་ཉིད།
Brief definition of the second compassion: That which is:

1. Compassion; and
2. Directly conjoined with the wisdom realising sentient beings to be impermanent.
