Approacher to Once-Returner

ཞུགས་པ་བཞིའི་ནང་ཚན་གང་ཞིག ཕལ་ཆེར་ལ་འདོད་ཆགས་དང་བྲལ་བས་རབ་ཏུ་ཕྱེ་བའི་རིགས་སུ་གནས་པའི་དགེ་སྦྱོང་ཚུལ་གྱི་འབྲས་བུ་ཐོབ་ཕྱིར་དུ་བརྩོན་བཞིན་པའི་སྦྱོར་བ་རྒྱུན་ཆགས་ལ་གནས་པས་རབ་ཏུ་ཕྱེ་བ། ཕྱིར་འོང་ཞུགས་པའི་མཚན་ཉིད།
Definition: Someone who is:

1. A subdivision of the four Approachers and
2. Distinguished by abiding in a continuous application of effort in order to attain the result of the Way of the Śramaṇa that abides in the class distinguished by being mostly separated from attachment.

Divisions:

1. Leaper Approachers to Once-Returner འབྲས་བུ་ཐོད་རྒལ་བའི་ཕྱིར་འོང་ཞུགས་པ།
2. Gradualist Approachers to Once-Returner འབྲས་བུ་རིམ་གྱིས་པའི་ཕྱིར་འོང་ཞུགས་པ།

ཕྱིར་འོང་གི་འབྲས་བུ་ཐོབ་པའི་ཕྱིར་དུ་ཞུགས་པ་སྟེ་སྦྱོར་བ་རྒྱུན་ཆགས་ལ་གནས་པས་ན་དེ་སྐད་ཅེས་བྱའོ།
Etymology: They are called as such due to approaching the result of Once-Returner, i.e. abiding in a continuous application [of effort] in order to attain that.
