In dependence on what level they are attained

འབྲས་བུ་དང་པོ་གཉིས་བསམ་གཏན་དང་པོའི་ཉེར་བསྡོགས་མི་ལྕོགས་མེད་པ་ལ་བརྟེན་ནས་ཐོབ་སྟེ། རྒྱུན་ཞུགས་ཞུགས་པ་དང་ཕྱིར་འོང་ཞུགས་པ་གང་རུང་ཡིན་ན།བསམ་གཏན་གྱི་དངོས་གཞི་མ་ཐོབ་པས་ཁྱབ་པའི་ཕྱིར།
Results of Stream-enterer and Once-returner are attained in dependence upon the Not Unable preparation for the first concentration because an Approacher to either of those is pervaded by not having attained an actual concentration.

The results of:

1. Non-Returner preceded by the realisation of Leaper to Once-Returner and
   འབྲས་བུ་ཐོད་རྒལ་བའི་ཕྱིར་འོང་གི་རྟོགས་པ་སྔོན་དུ་སོང་བའི་ཕྱིར་མི་འོང་གི་འབྲས་བུ།
2. Gradualist Non-Returner འབྲས་བུ་རིམ་གྱིས་པའི་ཕྱིར་མི་འོང་གི་འབྲས་བུ།

Are attained in dependence upon a preparation for the first concentration because the Approachers to those are pervaded by not having attained an actual concentration. This is because:

• If it is the first, it is necessarily a Leaper Special Abider in Once-Returner;
  དང་པོ་དེ་ཡིན་ན། འབྲས་བུ་ཐོད་རྒལ་བའི་ཕྱིར་འོང་འབྲས་གནས་ཁྱད་པར་ཅན་ཡིན་དགོས།
• If it is the second, it is necessarily a Gradualist Special Abider in Once-Returner; and
  གཉིས་པ་དེ་ཡིན་ན། འབྲས་བུ་རིམ་གྱིས་པའི་ཕྱིར་འོང་འབྲས་གནས་ཁྱད་པར་ཅན་ཡིན་དགོས།
• If it is a Once-Returner, it is pervaded by not having attained that.
  ཕྱིར་འོང་ཡིན་ན། དེ་མ་ཐོབ་པས་ཁྱབ་པའི་ཕྱིར།

The result of a Non-Returner previously separated from attachment (ཆགས་བྲལ་སྔོན་སོང་གི་ཕྱིར་མི་འོང་གི་འབྲས་བུ།
i.e. Leaper) is attained in dependence upon an actual concentration because:

• If it is an Approacher to that, they are pervaded by having attained an actual concentration and
• There is no purpose in giving up an actual concentration, which is easier, to depend upon a preparation, which is more difficult. ལམ་སླ་བ་བསམ་གཏན་གྱི་དངོས་གཞི་བོར་ནས། དཀའ་བ་ཉེར་བསྡོགས་ལ་བརྟེན་པ་ལ་དགོས་པ་མེད་པའི་ཕྱིར།

ཉན་ཐོས་དགྲ་བཅོམ་པའི་འབྲས་བུ་དེ་ཟག་མེད་ས་དགུ་གང་རུང་ལ་བརྟེན་ནས་ཐོབ་སྟེ།
The result of Hearer Foe-Destroyer is attained in dependence upon any of the nine uncontaminated levels:

1. Not Unable preparation for the first concentration བསམ་གཏན་དང་པོའི་ཉེར་བསྡོགས་མི་ལྕོགས་མེད།
2. Mere actual first concentration བསམ་གཏན་དང་པོའི་དངོས་གཞི་ཙམ་པོ་བ།
3. Special actual first concentration བསམ་གཏན་དང་པོའི་དངོས་གཞི་ཁྱད་པར་ཅན།
4. Actual second concentration བསམ་གཏན་གཉིས་པའི་དངོས་གཞི།
5. Actual third concentration བསམ་གཏན་གསུམ་པའི་དངོས་གཞི།
6. Actual fourth concentration བསམ་གཏན་བཞི་པའི་དངོས་གཞི།
7. Actual absorption of Infinite Space ནམ་མཁའ་མཐའ་ཡས་དངོས་གཞི་སྙོམས་འཇུག
8. Actual absorption of Infinite Consciousness རྣམ་ཤེས་མཐའ་ཡས་དངོས་གཞི་སྙོམས་འཇུག
9. Actual absorption of Nothingness ཅི་ཡང་མེད་ཀྱི་དངོས་གཞི་སྙོམས་འཇུག
