Leapers to the result

སྦྱོར་ལམ་སྟན་གཅིག་པའི་རྟོགས་པ་ཐོབ་པའི་ཉན་ཐོས་གང་ཞིག རྒྱུན་ཞུགས་ཀྱི་འབྲས་བུ་མངོན་དུ་མ་བྱས་པར་འབྲས་བུ་ཐ་མ་གསུམ་པོ་གང་རུང་མངོན་དུ་བྱས་སམ་
བྱེད་པར་འགྱུར་བ་གང་རུང་ཡང་ཡིན། རང་ཡིན་པའམ་རང་གི་ནང་ཚན་དུ་གྱུར་པའི་རྒྱུན་ཞུགས་ཀྱི་རྟོགས་པ་སྔོན་དུ་སོང་བའི་ཕྱིར་འོང་དང་།
ཕྱིར་འོང་གི་རྟོགས་པ་སྔོན་དུ་སོང་བའི་ཕྱིར་མི་འོང་དང་། ཕྱིར་མི་འོང་གི་རྟོགས་པ་སྔོན་དུ་སོང་བའི་དགྲ་བཅོམ་གང་རུང་མེད་པ་ཡང་ཡིན་པའི་གཞི་མཐུན་པར་དམིགས་པ། ཐོད་རྒལ་པའི་ཉན་ཐོས་ཀྱི་དགེ་འདུན་གྱི་མཚན་ཉིད།
Definition of a Leaper Hearer Saṅgha is: Someone that is 1) a Hearer that has attained the realisation of the single-session path of preparation and 2) observed as the common locus of:

• Either having actualised or who will actualise any of the latter three results without having actualised the result of Stream-Enterer, and
• Not being any of these or a subdivision of any of these:
  • A Once-Returner preceded by the realisation of Stream-Enterer,
  • A Non-Returner preceded by the realisation of Once-Returner, or
  • A Foe-Destroyer preceded by the realisation of Non-Returner.

རྒྱུན་ཞུགས་ཀྱི་འབྲས་བུ་མངོན་དུ་མ་བྱས་པར་འབྲས་བུ་ཕྱི་མ་གསུམ་པོ་གང་རུང་མངོན་དུ་བྱས་སམ་བྱེད་པའི་ཉན་ཐོས་ཡིན་པས་ན་དེ་ལྟར་བརྗོད་པའི་ཕྱིར།
Etymology: due to being Hearers who have actualised or will actualise any of the latter three results without actualising the result of Stream-Enterer.

Only the middle two results have Leapers:

• A Leaper to Stream-Enterer is not posited because the result of Stream-Enterer is the first of the four results and therefore there are no former results to leap over.
  འབྲས་བུ་ཐོད་རྒལ་བའི་རྒྱུན་ཞུགས་མི་འཇོག་སྟེ།
  རྒྱུན་ཞུགས་ཀྱི་འབྲས་བུ་དེ་འབྲས་བུ་བཞིའི་ཐོག་མ་ཡིན་པས་དེའི་སྔ་རོལ་ཏུ་ཐོད་རྒལ་པའི་འབྲས་བུ་གཞན་མེད་པའི་ཕྱིར།
• [Leapers] are posited for the two middle results because 1) there are Once-Returners who are not preceded by the realisation of Stream-Enterer and 2) there are also Non-Returners who are not preceded by the realisations of Stream-Enterer and Once-Returner.
  དེ་ལ་འབྲས་བུ་བར་པ་གཉིས་བཞག་ཏུ་ཡོད་དེ།
  རྒྱུན་ཞུགས་ཀྱི་རྟོགས་པ་སྔོན་དུ་མ་སོང་བའི་ཕྱིར་འོང་ཡོད་པ་གང་ཞིག རྒྱུན་ཞུགས་དང་ཕྱིར་འོང་གི་རྟོགས་པ་སྔོན་དུ་མ་སོང་བའི་ཕྱིར་མི་འོང་ཡང་ཡོད་པའི་ཕྱིར།
• There are no Leapers to Foe-Destroyer because the result of Foe-Destroyer is the last of the four results and therefore its attainment must be preceded by the attainment of one of the first three results.
  འབྲས་བུ་ཐོད་རྒལ་བའི་དགྲ་བཅོམ་མེད་དེ།
  དགྲ་བཅོམ་པའི་འབྲས་བུ་དེ་འབྲས་བུ་བཞིའི་ཐ་མ་ཡིན་པས་དེ་ཐོབ་པ་ལ་འབྲས་བུ་དང་པོ་གསུམ་པོ་གང་རུང་གཅིག་ཐོབ་པ་སྔོན་དུ་འགྲོ་དགོས་པའི་ཕྱིར།
