Knower of Bases

རང་རྒྱུད་ལྡན་གྱི་གང་ཟག་གི་རྒྱུད་ཀྱི་བདག་མེད་མངོན་སུམ་དུ་རྟོགས་པའི་ཤེས་རབ་ཀྱིས་ཟིན་པའི་ཡེ་ཤེས་གང་ཞིག ཐེག་དམན་གྱི་རྟོགས་རིགས་སུ་གནས་པ་དེ། གཞི་ཤེས་ཀྱི་མཚན་ཉིད།
Definition: That which is:

1. An exalted wisdom conjoined with the wisdom directly realising selflessness in the continuum of the person who possesses it in their continuum; and
2. Abiding in the Hinayana class of realisations.

དེ་དང་ཐེག་དམན་གྱི་རྟོགས་རིགས་སུ་གནས་པའི་འཕགས་རྒྱུད་ཀྱི་མཁྱེན་པ་དོན་གཅིག
This and an exalted knower in an Arya’s continuum abiding in the Hinayana class of realisations are mutually inclusive.

Divisions:

1. Knower of bases close to the resultant Mother འབྲས་ཡུམ་ལ་ཉེ་བའི་གཞི་ཤེས།
2. Knower of bases distant from the resultant Mother འབྲས་ཡུམ་ལ་རིང་བའི་གཞི་ཤེས།
3. Knower of bases of the discordant class མི་མཐུན་ཕྱོགས་ཀྱི་གཞི་ཤེས།
4. Knower of bases of the antidote class གཉེན་པོ་ཕྱོགས་ཀྱི་གཞི་ཤེས།

ས་མཚམས་འཕགས་པ་མཐའ་དག་གི་རྒྱུད་ལ་ཡོད།
Boundaries: it exists in the continua of all Aryas.
