Mahayana Instructions

ཐེག་ཆེན་སེམས་བསྐྱེད་ཀྱི་ཆེད་དུ་གཉེར་བྱ་ཐོབ་པའི་ཐབས་སྟོན་པའི་ཐེག་ཆེན་གྱི་ངག་དེ། ཐེག་ཆེན་གྱི་གདམས་ངག་གི་མཚན་ཉིད།
Definition: Mahayana speech that indicates the method for attaining that which Mahayana mind generation is striving for.

Division by way of entity:

1. Instructions that instruct on the Mahayana ཐེག་ཆེན་གྱི་འདོམས་པའི་གདམས་ངག
2. Instructions that are subsequent Mahayana teachings ཐེག་ཆེན་གྱི་རྗེས་བསྟན་གྱི་གདམས་ངག

When divided by way of the mode of instruction, there are ten: འདོམས་ཚུལ་གྱི་སྒོ་ནས་དབྱེ་ན།

1. Instructions that instruct on the entity of the practices (Two Truths)
   སྒྲུབ་པ་རང་གི་ངོ་བོ་ལ་འདོམས་པའི་གདམས་ངག
2. Instructions that instruct on the four truths (their objects of observation)
   དམིགས་ཡུལ་བདེན་པ་བཞི་ལ་འདོམས་པའི་གདམས་ངག
3. Instructions that instruct on the three jewels (their support)
   རྟེན་དཀོན་མཆོག་གསུམ་ལ་འདོམས་པའི་གདམས་ངག
4. Instructions that instruct on the joyous effort of non-adherence
   མ་ཞེན་པའི་བརྩོན་འགྲུས་ལ་འདོམས་པའི་གདམས་ངག
5. Instructions that instruct on tireless joyous effort
   ཡོངས་སུ་མི་ངལ་བའི་བརྩོན་འགྲུས་ལ་འདོམས་པའི་གདམས་ངག
6. Instructions that instruct on the joyous effort that thoroughly upholds the path
   ལམ་ཡོངས་སུ་འཛིན་པའི་བརྩོན་འགྲུས་ལ་འདོམས་པའི་གདམས་ངག
7. Instructions that instruct on the five eyes: the physical eye, the divine eye, the wisdom eye, the dharma eye, and the buddha eye.
   ཤའི་སྤྱན། ལྷའི་སྤྱན། ཤེས་རབ་ཀྱི་སྤྱན། ཆོས་ཀྱི་སྤྱན། སངས་རྒྱས་ཀྱི་སྤྱན་ཏེ་སྤྱན་ལྔ་ལ་འདོམས་པའི་གདམས་ངག
8. Instructions that instruct on the six clairvoyances: མངོན་ཤེས་དྲུག་ལ་འདོམས་པའི་གདམས་ངག
   1. clairvoyance of magical emanation རྫུ་འཕྲུལ་གྱི་མངོན་ཤེས།
   2. the clairvoyance of divine hearing ལྷའི་རྣ་བའི་མངོན་ཤེས།
   3. the clairvoyance of knowing others’ minds གཞན་སེམས་ཤེས་པའི་མངོན་ཤེས།
   4. the clairvoyance of remembering past states སྔོན་གྱི་གནས་རྗེས་སུ་དྲན་པའི་མངོན་ཤེས།
   5. the clairvoyance of divine sight ལྷའི་མིག་གི་མངོན་ཤེས།
   6. the clairvoyance of knowing the exhaustion of contaminations ཟག་པ་ཟད་པའི་མངོན་ཤེས།
9. Instructions that instruct on the path of seeing མཐོང་ལམ་ལ་འདོམས་པའི་གདམས་ངག
10. Instructions that instruct on the path of meditation སྒོམ་ལམ་ལ་འདོམས་པའི་གདམས་ངག

ས་མཚམས་ལམ་མ་ཞུགས་ནས་སངས་རྒྱས་ཀྱི་སའི་བར་ཡོད།
Boundaries: exists from before entering a path and up to the Buddha-ground.
