Persons who attain those

ངན་སོང་གསུམ་དང་སྒྲ་མི་སྙན་པའི་རྟེན་ལ་བསམ་གཏན་དང་གཟུགས་མེད་ཀྱི་དངོས་གཞི་སྙོམས་འཇུག་གསར་དུ་སྐྱེ་བ་མེད་དེ།
དེ་རྣམས་དེ་གསར་དུ་སྐྱེ་བའི་འགལ་རྐྱེན་གྱི་རིགས་སུ་གྱུར་པའི་རྣམ་སྨིན་གྱི་སྒྲིབ་པ་ཤས་ཆེན་པོ་དང་ལྡན་པའི་ཕྱིར།
There is no new generation of the actual meditative absorptions of the concentrations and formless absorptions on the supports of the three lower realms and Unpleasant Sound because they possess strong fruitional obscurations that are of the class of discordant conditions for newly producing those.

ལྷ་མ་ཡིན་དང་ཟ་མ་མ་ནིང་རྣམས་ཀྱི་རྟེན་ལ་དེ་གསར་དུ་སྐྱེ་བ་མེད་དེ། དེ་རྣམས་དེ་གསར་དུ་སྐྱེ་བའི་གེགས་ཕྲག་དོག་གི་སྒྲིབ་པ་ཤས་ཆེན་པོ་དང་ལྡན་པའི་ཕྱིར།
There is no new generation of those on the supports of asuras and asexuals because they possess strong obscurations of jealousy that are hindrances for newly producing those.

དེ་རྣམས་མ་གཏོགས་པའི་གླིང་གསུམ་གྱི་སྐྱེས་པ་བུད་མེད་དང་འདོད་ལྷ་རྣམས་ཀྱི་རྟེན་ལ་དེ་གསར་དུ་སྐྱེ་བ་ཡོད་དེ།
དེ་རྣམས་ཀྱི་རྟེན་ལ་དེ་གསར་དུ་སྐྱེ་བའི་འགལ་རྐྱེན་དང་བྲལ་ཞིང་མཐུན་རྐྱེན་ཚང་བ་ཡོད་པའི་ཕྱིར།
There is new generation of those on the supports of men and women of the three continents not included in the above as well as devas because such supports are free of the discordant conditions and have complete concordant conditions for producing those.

འདོད་པའི་རྟེན་ལ་བསམ་གཏན་དང་པོའི་དངོས་གཞི་སྙོམས་འཇུག་གསར་དུ་སྐྱེ་བ་ཡོད་པ་ནས་ཅི་ཡང་མེད་ཀྱི་རྟེན་ལ་སྲིད་རྩེའི་སྙོམས་འཇུག་གསར་དུ་སྐྱེ་བའི་
བར་རྣམས་སུ་ཡོད་དེ། འདོད་པའི་རྟེན་ལ་བསམ་གཏན་དང་པོའི་ཉེར་བསྡོགས་སྐྱེ་བ་ཡོད་པ་ནས།
ཅི་ཡང་མེད་ཀྱི་རྟེན་ལ་སྲིད་རྩེའི་ཉེར་བསྡོགས་གསར་དུ་སྐྱེ་བ་ཡོད་པའི་བར་ཡིན་པའི་ཕྱིར།
There is new production of the actual meditative absorption of the first concentration upon a Desire Realm support and up to new production of the meditative absorption of the Peak of Existence upon a Nothingness support because there is production of the preparations for the first concentration upon a Desire Realm support and up to the preparations for the Peak of Existence upon a Nothingness support.

བསམ་གཏན་དང་པོའི་རྟེན་ལ་བསམ་གཏན་དང་པོའི་དངོས་གཞི་སྙོམས་འཇུག་གསར་དུ་སྐྱེ་བ་མེད་པ་སོགས་སྲིད་རྩེའི་བར་ལ་རིགས་འདྲ་སྟེ།
བསམ་གཏན་དང་པོའི་རྟེན་ལ་བསམ་གཏན་དང་པོའི་ཉེར་བསྡོགས་གསར་དུ་སྒོམ་པ་མེད་པ་སོགས་ཡིན་པའི་ཕྱིར་ཏེ། བསམ་གཏན་དང་པོ་བ་ཡིན་ན།
བསམ་གཏན་དང་པོའི་དངོས་གཞིའི་སྙོམས་འཇུག་ཐོབ་པས་ཁྱབ་པ་སོགས་ཡིན་པའི་ཕྱིར།
There is no new production of the actual meditative absorption of the first concentration upon a first concentration support (and similarly up to the Peak of Existence) because there is no new cultivation of the preparations for the first concentration upon a first concentration support (and so forth); because if it is someone of the first concentration, they are pervaded by having attained the actual meditative absorption of the first concentration (and so forth).

བསམ་གཏན་གཉིས་པའི་རྟེན་ལ་བསམ་གཏན་དང་པོའི་དངོས་གཞི་སྙོམས་འཇུག་གསར་དུ་སྐྱེ་བ་སོགས་མེད་ཀྱང་།
བསམ་གཏན་གཉིས་པའི་རྟེན་ལ་བསམ་གཏན་དང་པོའི་དངོས་གཞི་སྙོམས་འཇུག་མངོན་དུ་བྱེད་པ་ནི་ཡོད་དེ།
བསམ་གཟུགས་བརྒྱད་ཀ་ཐོབ་པའི་བསམ་གཏན་གཉིས་པ་བ་ཡོད་པའི་ཕྱིར།
Despite the above, there is actualisation of the actual meditative absorption of the first concentration upon a first concentration support because there exist persons of the second concentration who have attained all eight concentrations and formless absorptions.

སྲིད་རྩེའི་རྟེན་ལ་ཅི་ཡང་མེད་ཀྱི་དངོས་གཞི་སྙོམས་འཇུག་གསར་དུ་སྐྱེ་བ་མེད་ཀྱང་དེའི་རྟེན་ལ་དེ་མངོན་དུ་བྱེད་པ་ནི་ཡོད་དེ།
ཅི་ཡང་མེད་ཀྱི་དངོས་གཞི་སྙོམས་འཇུག་ཏུ་གྱུར་པའི་ཉན་ཐོས་ཀྱི་སྒོམ་ལམ་རྡོ་རྗེ་ལྟ་བུའི་ཏིང་ངེ་འཛིན་ལ་བརྟེན་ནས་ཉན་ཐོས་དགྲ་བཅོམ་པའི་འབྲས་བུ་མངོན་དུ་བྱེད་པའི་སྲིད་རྩེའི་རྟེན་ཅན་གྱི་ཕྱིར་མི་འོང་ཡོད་པའི་ཕྱིར།
Although there is no new production of the actual meditative absorption of Nothingness upon a Peak of Existence support, there is actualisation of that upon that support because there exist Non-Returners possessing a Peak of Existence support who actualise the result of Hearer Foe-Destroyer in dependence upon the vajra-like concentration of the Hearer path of meditation that is an actual meditative absorption of Nothingness.

བསམ་གཟུགས་བརྒྱད་ཀ་ཐོབ་པའི་སོ་སྐྱེ་ཡོད་དེ། སྲིད་རྩེའི་རྟེན་ཅན་གྱི་སོ་སྐྱེ་ཡོད་པའི་ཕྱིར།
There exist ordinary beings who have attained all eight concentrations and formless absorptions because there exists ordinary beings possessing a Peak of Existence support.

བསམ་གཏན་གྱི་དངོས་གཞིའི་སྙོམས་འཇུག་མ་ཐོབ་པའི་འཕགས་པ་མང་དུ་ཡོད་ཅིང་། དེ་མ་ཐོབ་པའི་དགྲ་བཅོམ་པ་ཡང་ཡོད།
There exist many Aryas who have not attained an actual meditative absorption of a concentration and there also exist Foe-Destroyers who have not attained that.

བསམ་གཏན་དང་པོའི་དངོས་གཞིའི་སྙོམས་འཇུག་ཐོབ་ནས་བསམ་གཏན་གཉིས་པའི་དངོས་གཞི་སྙོམས་འཇུག་མ་ཐོབ་པའི་འཕགས་པ་ཡོད་དེ།
རང་ཐོབ་བྱེད་ཀྱི་ཐབས་སུ་གྱུར་པའི་འཇིག་རྟེན་པའི་ཞི་རགས་ཀྱི་རྣམ་པ་ཅན་གྱི་ལམ་ཁོ་ན་ལ་བརྟེན་ནས་དངོས་སུ་ཐོབ་པའི་ཕྱིར་མི་འོང་གི་འབྲས་བུ་མངོན་དུ་བྱས་མ་ཐག་པའི་ཕྱིར་མི་འོང་དེས་བསམ་གཏན་དང་པོའི་དངོས་གཞི་སྙོམས་འཇུག་ཐོབ་ཀྱང་བསམ་གཏན་གཉིས་པའི་དེ་མ་ཐོབ་པའི་ཕྱིར།
There exist Aryas who have attained the actual meditative absorption of the first concentration but not the second concentration because the Non-Returner who has just actualised the result of Non-Returner directly attained in dependence only upon the mundane path possessing the aspects of coarseness and peacefulness that is its method of attainment, has attained the actual meditative absorption of the first concentration but has not attained that of the second concentration.

བྱང་སེམས་ཡིན་ན། བསམ་གཏན་གྱི་ཉེར་བསྡོགས་ཐོབ་པས་ཁྱབ་སྟེ། དེ་ཡིན་ན་ཞི་ལྷག་ཟུང་འབྲེལ་ཐོབ་པས་ཁྱབ་པའི་ཕྱིར།
If it is a Bodhisattva, they are pervaded by having attained a preparation for a concentration because if it is that, they are pervaded by having attained the union of calm abiding and special insight.

ཚོགས་ལམ་ཆེན་པོ་ལ་གནས་པའི་སེམས་དཔའ་ཡིན་ན། བསམ་གཏན་གྱི་དངོས་གཞི་ཐོབ་པས་ཁྱབ་སྟེ། དེ་ཡིན་ན་ཆོས་རྒྱུན་གྱི་ཏིང་ངེ་འཛིན་ཐོབ་པས་ཁྱབ་པའི་ཕྱིར།
If it is a Bodhisattva abiding on the great path of accumulation, they are pervaded by having attained an actual concentration because if it is that, they are pervaded by having attained the dharma-stream meditative stabilisation.
