Definition of the dependent-arising of contact:
A mental factor of contact that is a common locus of:

1. Being the projected result of the projecting action included within the same round of dependent-arising; and
2. Abiding in the class of the fruitional aggregates on the occasion starting from the ability to utilise the transformation of objects through the assembly of the three (object, sense-power, and consciousness) and up to but not including the ability to know the causes of the three feelings (pleasant, unpleasant, and neutral) such as food and so forth.
