Grasping

སྔར་གྱི་སྲེད་པའི་རྟེན་འབྲེལ་དེ་ལྷག་པར་འཕེལ་ཏེ་འཕེན་བྱེད་ལས་ཀྱི་བག་ཆགས་གསོས་འདེབས་པ་ལ་ནུས་པ་མཐུ་ཅན་དུ་གྱུར་པའི་འདོད་ཆགས་དེ།
ལེན་པའི་རྟེན་འབྲེལ་གྱི་མཚན་ཉིད།
Definition of the dependent-arising of grasping:
An attachment that is the further increase of the preceding dependent-arising of craving and possesses the complete potency to activate the imprint of the projecting action.

When divided, there are four which are that:

1. Grasping to the desirable འདོད་པ་ཉེ་བར་ལེན་པ།
2. Grasping to views ལྟ་བ་ཉེ་བར་ལེན་པ།
3. Grasping to faulty ethics and conduct as supreme ཚུལ་ཞུགས་མཆོག་འཛིན་ཉེ་བར་ལེན་པ།
4. Grasping to the view of self བདག་ཏུ་ལྟ་བ་ཉེ་བར་ལེན་པ།

The first is attachment to the five Desire Realm objects, for example.
The second is attachment to the sixty-two wrong views, for example.
The third is attachment to fasting, relying upon the five fires, and imitating cattle, dogs, pigs, and so forth, for example.
The fourth is attachment to the grasping to the self of persons and to the pride thinking “I”, for example.
