Three Types of Words
- Words directly spoken - e.g. summary sections.
ཞལ་ནས་གསུངས་པའི་བཀའ། མདོ་སྡུད་པ་ལྟ་བུ། - Permitted Words - e.g. introduction sections.
རྗེས་སུ་གནང་བའི་བཀའ། གླེང་གཞིའི་ལེའུ་ལྟ་བུ། - Blessed Words: བྱིན་གྱིས་བརླབས་པའི་བཀའ།
- By way of Body - e.g. Sutra on the Ten Grounds.
སྐུའི་སྒོ་ནས་བྱིན་གྱིས་བརླབས་པ། མདོ་སྡེ་ས་བཅུ་པ་ལྟ་བུ། - By way of Speech - e.g. Sutra to Eliminate Ajatashatru's Regret (killed father)
གསུང་གི་སྒོ་ནས་བྱིན་གྱིས་བརླབས་པ། མ་སྐྱེས་དགྲའི་འགྱོད་སེལ་གྱི་མདོ་ལྟ་བུ། - By way of Mind: ཐུགས་ཀྱི་སྒོ་ནས་བྱིན་གྱིས་བརླབས་པ།
- Through concentration - e.g. "Form is empty;" and so forth in Heart Sutra
ཐུགས་ཏིང་ངེ་འཛིན་གྱིས་བྱིན་གྱིས་བརླབས་པ། ཤེར་སྙིང་གི་ནང་ཚན་དུ་གྱུར་པའི་གཟུགས་སྟོང་པའོ། ཞེས་སོགས་ལྟ་བུ། - Through the power of truth - e.g. Words arisen from the sound of the great drum of the gods
ཐུགས་བདེན་པའི་སྟོབས་ཀྱིས་བྱིན་གྱིས་བརླབས་པ། ལྷའི་རྔ་བོ་ཆེའི་སྒྲ་ལས་བྱུང་བའི་བཀའ་ལྟ་བུ། - Through exalted wisdom - e.g. the arising of dharma words from harmful spirits and so forth
ཐུགས་ཡེ་ཤེས་ཀྱིས་བྱིན་གྱིས་བརླབས་པ། གནོད་སྦྱིན་སོགས་ཀྱི་ངག་ལས་ཆོས་ཀྱི་སྒྲ་འབྱུང་བ་ལྟ་བུའོ།
