Concordant and discordant conditions of the pure path of meditation

རང་གི་འབྲས་བུར་གྱུར་པའི་རྣམ་དག་སྒོམ་ལམ་ཐོབ་བྱེད་ཀྱི་ཐབས་སུ་གྱུར་བའི་རྣམ་དཀར་གྱི་ཡོན་ཏན་དེ། རྣམ་དག་སྒོམ་ལམ་གྱི་མཐུན་རྐྱེན་གྱི་མཚན་ཉིད།
Definition of a concordant condition for the pure path of meditation: A completely white quality that is the method for attaining the pure path of meditation that is its result.

Divisions:

Relying upon the virtuous spiritual friend, the Buddha and so forth
སངས་རྒྱས་ལ་སོགས་པའི་དགེ་བའི་བཤེས་གཉེན་ལ་བསྟེན་པ།
Practicing generosity and so forth སྦྱིན་སོགས་ཉམས་སུ་ལེན་པ།
Being skilled in the means of the union of calm abiding and special insight
ཞི་ལྷག་ཟུང་འབྲེལ་གྱི་ཐབས་ལ་མཁས་པ།

རྣམ་དཀར་གྱི་རྣམ་དག་སྒོམ་ལམ་ཐོབ་པ་ལ་བར་དུ་གཅོད་པར་བྱེད་པས་རབ་ཏུ་ཕྱེ་བའི་རྐྱེན་དེ། རྣམ་དག་སྒོམ་ལམ་གྱི་འགལ་རྐྱེན་གྱི་མཚན་ཉིད།
Definition of a discordant condition for the pure path of meditation: A condition distinguished by acting as an obstacle to the attainment of the completely white pure path of meditation.

Divisions:

Spirit harm due to not having engaged in virtue previously སྔོན་དགེ་བ་མ་བྱས་པས་བདུད་ཀྱིས་གནོད་པ་བྱས་པ།
Not believing in the profound dharma ཆོས་ཟབ་མོ་ལ་མ་མོས་པ།
Grasping to the aggregates and so forth as truly established ཕུང་པོ་སོགས་བདེན་གྲུབ་ཏུ་འཛིན་པ།
Being influenced by non-virtuous spiritual friends and bad company
མི་དགེ་བའི་བཤེས་གཉེན་དང་སྡིག་གྲོགས་ཀྱི་དབང་དུ་སོང་བ།

Four demons / maras: (བདུད་བཞི།)

Demon of the aggregates ཕུང་པོའི་བདུད།
Demon of the afflictions ཉོན་མོངས་པའི་བདུད།
Demon of death འཆི་བདག་གི་བདུད།
Demon of the child of gods ལྷའི་བུ་ཡི་བདུད། (བདུད་དགའ་རབ་དབང་ཕྱུག་སོགས།)

The five flower-arrows of God of Desire: (བདུད་དགའ་རབ་དབང་ཕྱུག་གི་མེ་ཏོག་གི་མདའ་ལྔ།)

Arrow causing arrogance དྲེགས་པར་བྱེད་པའི་མདའ།
Arrow causing obscuration རྨོངས་པར་བྱེད་པའི་མདའ།
Arrow causing complete obscuration ཀུན་ཏུ་རྨོངས་པར་བྱེད་པའི་མདའ།
Arrow causing fainting བརྒྱལ་བར་བྱེད་པའི་མདའ།
Arrow causing unconsciousness སེམས་མེད་པར་བྱེད་པའི་མདའ།
