Mahayana path of meditation

ཐེག་ཆེན་གྱི་རྗེས་ལ་མངོན་རྟོགས། ཐེག་ཆེན་གྱི་སྒོམ་ལམ་གྱི་མཚན་ཉིད།

Division into nine rounds (སྐོར་དགུ།): small, middling, and great; each have an uninterrupted path, liberated path, and subsequent attainment.

བྱང་སེམས་ཀྱི་སྒོམ་ལམ་བར་ཆད་མེད་ལམ་དགུས་སྒོམ་སྤང་བདེན་འཛིན་གྱི་རྣམ་པར་རྟོག་པ་དགུ་སྤོང་བའི་ཚུལ་ཡོད་དེ།
དང་པོར་བྱང་སེམས་ཀྱི་སྒོམ་ལམ་ཆུང་ངུ་སྐོར་གསུམ། དེ་རྗེས་དེ་འབྲིང་སྐོར་གསུམ། དེ་རྗེས་དེ་ཆེན་པོ་སྐོར་གསུམ་སྐྱེ་ལ།
དེ་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་གོ་རིམ་བཞིན་དུ་སྒོམ་སྤང་བདེན་འཛིན་ཆེན་པོ་སྐོར་གསུམ་དང༌། འབྲིང་སྐོར་གསུམ་དང༌། ཆུང་ངུ་སྐོར་གསུམ་སྤོང་བར་བྱེད་པའི་ཕྱིར།
There is a way in which the nine uninterrupted paths of the Bodhisattva's path of meditation abandon the nine conceptions of true-grasping that are objects of abandonment of the path of meditation because:

First arise the three rounds of small, then the three rounds of middling, then the three rounds of great
Respectively, they act to abandon the three rounds of great, the three rounds of middling, and the three rounds of small.

གཉེན་པོ་ཆུང་རིམ་དང་སྤང་བྱ་ཆེ་རིམ་ནས་འཇོག་པའི་རྒྱུ་མཚན་ཡོད་དེ།
གཉེན་པོ་ལ་དམན་མཆོག་གི་རིམ་པ་དང་སྤང་བྱ་སྤོང་དཀའ་སླའི་རིམ་པ་ཡོད་པས་དེ་ལྟར་བཞག་པའི་ཕྱིར།
There is a reason for positing the antidotes in ascending order and the objects of abandonment in descending order: it is posited as such due to the gradual improvement of the antidotes and the gradual increase in difficulty in abandoning the objects of abandonment.

i.e. both antidotes and abandonments go from great to small.
Our position: A launderer does not require sustained effort to clean coarse stains in clothing but requires greater effort to clean the subtle stains in clothing.
གོས་ལ་ཆགས་པའི་དྲི་མ་རགས་པ་སེལ་བ་ལ་ཡུན་རིང་པོར་འབད་མི་དགོས་ལ།
གོས་ལ་ཆགས་པའི་དྲི་མ་ཕྲ་མོ་བསལ་བ་ལ་བཙོ་བླག་མཁན་ཆེ་ཐང་དུ་འབད་པ་ལྟར།

Jetsunpa divides the great of the great objects of abandonment and the corresponding small of the small uninterrupted path into two: coarse and subtle. See Uninterrupted path of the Mahayana path of meditation
Others do not posit a first ground uninterrupted path of the path of meditation, therefore there is no need for this subdivision.
