Mode of traversing the paths and grounds (Mahayana)

ཐེག་ཆེན་རིགས་ངེས་ཀྱི་ལམ་མ་ཞུགས་ཀྱི་གང་ཟག་གི་རྒྱུད་ལ། ཐེག་ཆེན་སེམས་བསྐྱེད་ནམ་སྐྱེས་པ་ན།
དེས་ཐེག་ཆེན་གྱི་ཚོགས་ལམ་ཆུང་ངུ་ཐོབ་པར་འཇོག
When a person of definite Mahayana lineage who has not entered the path gives rise to Mahayana mind generation in their continuum, they are posited as having attained the Mahayana small path of accumulation.

In terms of the mode of transferring (འཕོ་ཚུལ།) onto the Mahayana path of preparation and path of seeing:

1. Those who have not proceeded through the Hinayana path དམན་ལམ་སྔོན་དུ་མ་སོང་བ།
2. Those who have proceeded through the Hinayana path དམན་ལམ་སྔོན་དུ་སོང་བ།

དམན་ལམ་སྔོན་དུ་མ་སོང་བའི་ཚོགས་ལམ་ཆེན་པོ་ལ་གནས་པའི་སེམས་དཔའ་དེས། སྟོང་ཉིད་ལ་དམིགས་པའི་ལྷག་མཐོང་ནམ་ཐོབ་པ་ན།
ཐེག་ཆེན་གྱི་སྦྱོར་ལམ་དྲོད་ཐོབ་པར་འཇོག དེ་འདྲའི་བྱང་སེམས་སྦྱོར་ལམ་པ་དེས་སྟོང་ཉིད་མངོན་སུམ་དུ་རྟོགས་པའི་མཁྱེན་པ་ནམ་ཐོབ་པ་ན།
ཐེག་ཆེན་གྱི་མཐོང་ལམ་ཐོབ་པར་འཇོག
1. Those who have not
When Bodhisattvas abiding on the great path of accumulation attain a special insight observing emptiness, they are posited as having attained the heat level of the Mahayana path of preparation.
When they attain an exalted knower directly realising emptiness, they are posited as having attained the Mahayana path of seeing.

2. Those who have are divided into two:

1. Those who have not realised emptiness on the Hinayana path དམན་ལམ་དུ་སྟོང་ཉིད་རྟོགས་མ་མྱོང་བ།
   Same as those who have not.
2. Those have have realised emptiness on the Hinayana path དམན་ལམ་དུ་སྟོང་ཉིད་རྟོགས་མྱོང་བ།
   1. Those who proceeded through the Hinayana path of accumulation
      དེ་འདྲ་བའི་ཐེག་དམན་ཚོགས་ལམ་པའི་རྟོགས་པ་སྔོན་དུ་སོང་བ།
      Same as those who have not.
   2. Those who proceeded through the Hinayana path of preparation
      དེ་འདྲ་བའི་ཐེག་དམན་སྦྱོར་ལམ་པའི་རྟོགས་པ་སྔོན་དུ་སོང་བ།
      Entering path of preparation: see below.
      Entering path of seeing: same as those who have not.
   3. Those who proceeded through the Hinayana path of seeing
      དེ་འདྲ་བའི་ཐེག་དམན་མཐོང་ལམ་པའི་རྟོགས་པ་སྔོན་དུ་སོང་བ།
      Entering path of seeing: see below.

དམན་ལམ་དུ་སྟོང་ཉིད་རྟོགས་མྱོང་བའི་ཐེག་དམན་སྦྱོར་ལམ་པའི་རྟོགས་པ་སྔོན་དུ་སོང་བའི་བྱང་སེམས་ཚོགས་ལམ་པ་དེས།
ཐེག་ཆེན་གྱི་ཚོགས་ལམ་གྱི་གནས་སྐབས་ཀྱི་ཚོགས་གཉིས་ཅི་ཙམ་བསགས་དགོས་པ་བསགས་ཟིན་པའི་སྐད་ཅིག་གཉིས་པར་དེས་
ཐེག་ཆེན་གྱི་སྦྱོར་ལམ་དྲོད་ཐོབ་པར་འཇོག
2.2.2 Bodhisattvas who proceeded through the Hinayana path of preparation and realised emptiness on the Hinayana path
When such a Bodhisattva on the path of accumulation has accumulated the collections required in the context of the Mahayana path of accumulation, they are posited as having attained the heat level of the Mahayana path of accumulation in the next moment.

དེ་འདྲའི་ཐེག་དམན་མཐོང་ལམ་པའི་རྟོགས་པ་སྔོན་དུ་སོང་བའི་བྱང་སེམས་སྦྱོར་ལམ་པ་དེས། སྦྱོར་ལམ་གྱི་གནས་སྐབས་སུ་ཚོགས་གཉིས་
ཅི་ཙམ་བསགས་དགོས་པ་བསགས་ཟིན་པའི་སྐད་ཅིག་གཉིས་པར་ཐེག་ཆེན་གྱི་མཐོང་ལམ་ཐོབ་པར་འཇོག
2.2.3 If they have also proceeded through the Hinayana path of seeing
When such a bodhisattva on the path of preparation has accumulated the collections required in the context of the Mahayana path of preparation, they are posited as having attained the Mahayana path of seeing.
