Absorption of cessation (Cittamatra)
དགག་གཞིའི་ཡིད་ཀྱི་རྣམ་ཤེས་དང་མེ་ལོང་ལྟ་བུའི་ཡེ་ཤེས་ཅི་རིགས་ཀྱི་སྟེང་དུ་དགག་བྱ་ཚོགས་བདུན་རགས་པ་འགོག་པའི་འཕགས་རྒྱུད་ཀྱི་སྙོམས་འཇུག་ཏུ་གྱུར་པའི་ལྡན་མིན་འདུ་བྱེད་དུ་དམིགས་པ། འགོག་སྙོམས་ཀྱི་མཚན་ཉིད།
Definition: That observed as being a non-concomitant compositional factor that is a meditative absorption in an Arya's continuum that ceases the seven consciousnesses (its object of negation) on the basis of its basis of negation, either the mental consciousness or the mirror-like exalted wisdom.
Highlights:
- Only aryas who have attained an actual Peak of Existence.
- Initial mental support is Peak of Existence, later not definite.
- Initially in dependence upon a supramundane path
- Having been disillusioned with coarse feelings and discriminations, they absorb in order to happily abide in this life through pacifying coarse feelings and discrimination.
ཚོར་འདུ་རགས་པས་ཡིད་སྐྱོ་ནས་ཚེ་འདིར་ཚོར་འདུ་རགས་པ་ཞི་ནས་ཡིད་བདེ་བ་ལ་གནས་པའི་ཕྱིར་དུ་སྙོམས་པར་འཇུག - Uncontaminated
- Imputed existent (not substantial existent)
- Mainly initially attained on a human support
ཀུན་གཞིའི་སྟེང་དུ་ཚོགས་དྲུག་རགས་པ་བཀག་པའི་སོ་སྐྱེའི་རྒྱུད་ཀྱི་སྙོམས་འཇུག་ཏུ་གྱུར་པའི་ལྡན་མིན་འདུ་བྱེད་དུ་དམིགས་པ།
འདུ་ཤེས་མེད་པའི་སྙོམས་འཇུག་གི་མཚན་ཉིད།
Definition of absorption of no discrimination: That observed as being a non-concomitant compositional factor that is a meditative absorption in an ordinary being's continuum that ceases the six coarse consciousnesses on the basis of the alaya.
The absorption of non-discrimination possesses these qualities: འདུ་ཤེས་མེད་པའི་སྙོམས་འཇུག་དེ་ཁྱད་ཆོས་དུ་མ་དང་ལྡན་ཏེ།
- Separated from the attachment of Vast Virtue [i.e. third concentration] དགེ་རྒྱས་ཀྱི་འདོད་ཆགས་དང་བྲལ་ལ།
- Not separated from the attachment of the fourth concentration བསམ་གཏན་བཞི་པའི་འདོད་ཆགས་དང་མ་བྲལ་བ་དང༌།
- Absorbed through a motivation wishing to definitely emerge from samsara
འཁོར་བ་ལས་ངེས་པར་འབྱུང་འདོད་ཀྱི་ཀུན་སློང་གིས་སྙོམས་པར་ཞུགས་པ། - An imputed existent designated upon the compositional factors aggregate that has ceased the six types of consciousness (its object of negation) on the basis of the alaya.
ཀུན་གཞིའི་སྟེང་དུ་རང་གི་དགག་བྱ་ཚོགས་དྲུག་བཀག་པའི་འདུ་བྱེད་ཀྱི་ཕུང་པོ་ལ་བཏགས་པའི་བཏགས་ཡོད་ཡིན་པའི་ཕྱིར།
