Analysis of whose objects are the Bodies

Dharmakaya:

• The complete Dharmakaya is only an object of direct cognition among the Arya Buddhas.
  ཆོས་སྐུ་ཡོངས་སུ་རྫོགས་པ་ནི་སངས་རྒྱས་འཕགས་པ་ནང་ཕན་ཚུན་ཁོ་ནའི་མངོན་སུམ་གྱི་སྤྱོད་ཡུལ་དང་།
• The concordance with the Dharmakaya can be taken as an object from the eighth ground and
  ཆོས་སྐུ་རྗེས་མཐུན་པ་ས་བརྒྱད་པ་ནས་ཡུལ་དུ་བྱེད་ནུས་ལ།
• Its meaning-generality can be taken as an object even during engagement through belief.
  མོས་པས་སྤྱོད་པ་ཡང་དོན་སྤྱི་ཙམ་ཡུལ་དུ་བྱེད་ནུས་སོ།

Two Nature Bodies: ངོ་བོ་ཉིད་སྐུ་ལ་གཉིས་ལས།

1. Factor of natural purity: can be taken as an object of direct cognition also by Hearers, Solitary Realisers, and Bodhisattvas who have directly realised emptiness
   རང་བཞིན་རྣམ་དག་གི་ཆར་གྱུར་པའི་ངོ་བོ་ཉིད་སྐུ་ནི། སྟོང་ཉིད་མངོན་སུམ་དུ་རྟོགས་པའི་ཉན་རང་བྱང་སེམས་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་ཀྱང་མངོན་སུམ་གྱི་ཡུལ་དུ་བྱེད་ནུས་ལ།
2. Factor of purity from the adventitious: an object of direct cognition only of Arya Buddhas
   གློ་བུར་རྣམ་དག་གི་ཆར་གྱུར་པའི་ངོ་བོ་ཉིད་སྐུ་ནི། སངས་རྒྱས་འཕགས་པ་ཁོ་ནའི་མངོན་སུམ་གྱི་སྤྱོད་ཡུལ་ཡིན།

ཡེ་ཤེས་ཆོས་སྐུ་སངས་རྒྱས་འཕགས་པ་ནང་ཕན་ཚུན་ཁོ་ནའི་མངོན་སུམ་གྱི་སྤྱོད་ཡུལ་ཡིན་ཏེ། དེ་མངོན་སུམ་དུ་རྟོགས་པའི་སེམས་ཅན་མེད་པའི་ཕྱིར།
The exalted wisdom dharmakaya is only an object of direct cognition among Arya Buddhas because sentient beings who directly realise that do not exist.

Regarding the Enjoyment Body, there are two systems: ལོངས་སྐུ་ནི་་་་ ལུགས་གཉིས་ཡོད་པ་ལས།

1. Asserting it as only the direct object of tenth ground bodhisattvas and above
   ས་བཅུ་པ་ཐོབ་པའི་བྱང་སེམས་ཡན་ཆད་ཁོ་ནའི་མངོན་སུམ་གྱི་ཡུལ་དུ་འདོད་པ།
2. Asserting it as the object of all bodhisattvas who have attained a ground
   ས་ཐོབ་པའི་བྱང་སེམས་ཐམས་ཅད་ཀྱི་ཡུལ་དུ་འདོད་པ།

First system, according to the Madhyamika Dharmamitra: དང་པོ་ནི། དབུ་མ་པ་ཆོས་ཀྱི་བཤེས་གཉེན་གྱིས་
Dividing the Enjoyment Body into two: ལོངས་སྐུ་ལ་

1. Great Enjoyment Body ལོངས་སྤྱོད་རྫོགས་པ་ཆེན་པོ།
   Asserted as only the object of tenth ground bodhisattvas and above བྱང་སེམས་ས་བཅུ་པ་བ་ཡན་ཆད་ཁོ་ནའི་ཡུལ་དུ་འདོད།
2. A special Emanation Body designated as an Enjoyment Body སྤྲུལ་སྐུ་ཁྱད་པར་ཅན་ཅིག་ལ་ལོངས་སྐུར་བཏགས་པ།
   Asserted as the object of all bodhisattvas who have attained a ground ས་ཐོབ་པའི་བྱང་སེམས་ཐམས་ཅད་ཀྱི་ཡུལ་དུ་འདོད།

དེས་ན་འཁོར་གྱི་བྱང་སེམས་ཀྱང་དེ་དང་འདྲ་བ་བཞིན་དུ་འདོད་དགོས་སོ།
Therefore, also the retinue bodhisattvas must be asserted similarly to that.

འཕགས་སེང་གཉིས་ལ་སོགས་པ་ཕལ་ཆེར་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་ལོངས་སྐུ་ས་ཐོབ་པའི་བྱང་སེམས་ཐམས་ཅད་ཀྱི་མངོན་སུམ་གྱི་ཡུལ་དུ་འདོད་དེ།
ལོངས་སྐུའི་འཁོར་དུ་གྱུར་པའི་བྱང་སེམས་ལ་ས་བཅུ་ག་ལ་གནས་པའི་བྱང་སེམས་ཡོད་པར་འདོད་པའི་ཕྱིར།
Second system, most (i.e. Arya Vimkuktasena, Haribhadra and so forth) assert that the Enjoyment Body is the direct object of all bodhisattvas who have attained a ground because of asserting that the bodhisattvas in the retinue of the Enjoyment Body are comprised of bodhisattvas abiding on all ten grounds.

Regarding the Emanation Body: སྤྲུལ་སྐུ་ལ་

• The Supreme Emanation Body is perceived: མཆོག་གི་སྤྲུལ་སྐུ་ནི།
  • Whenever one wishes from the heat level དྲོད་ཡན་ཆད་ནས་ནམ་འདོད་དུ་མཐོང་ཞིང་།
  • At most times from the great path of accumulation ཚོགས་ལམ་ཆེན་པོ་ནས་དུས་ཕལ་ཆེར་མཐོང།
  • Also by ordinary beings who have not entered a path but are pure of conduct
    ལམ་མ་ཞུགས་ཀྱི་སོ་སོ་སྐྱེ་བོ་ལས་དག་པ་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་མཐོང་བ་ཡོད།
• The Birth Emanation Body and so forth: སྐྱེ་བ་སྤྲུལ་སྐུ་སོགས་ནི།
  • Appear as whatever body will subdue when the time comes for disciples to be subdued
    གདུལ་བྱ་འདུལ་བའི་དུས་ལ་བབ་པ་ན་སྐུ་ཇི་ལྟ་བུས་འདུལ་བའི་གང་ལ་གང་འདུལ་གྱི་སྐུར་སྣང་བ་ཡིན།
  • Do not appear when it is not time for subduing འདུལ་བའི་དུས་ལ་མ་བབ་ན་མི་སྣང།
