Appearance of pure Buddha-field
འོ་ན་གང་དུ་ས་བཅུ་ཐོབ་མ་ཐག་པའི་ཚེ་ན་སངས་རྒྱས་ཀྱི་ཞིང་དག་པའི་སྣང་བ་འབྱུང་བར་བཤད་ན། དེའི་ཚུལ་གང་ཞེ་ན།
དེ་ནི་འོད་ཟེར་ཆེན་པོའི་དབང་བསྐུར་ཐོབ་ནས་འབྱུང་བ་ཡིན་ལ།
When explaining that the appearance of the pure Buddha-field arises immediately upon attaining the ten grounds, in what way? It arises through attaining the empowerment of great light.
This has two sections:
- Accomplishing enlightened activities through appearances སྣང་བས་འཕྲིན་ལས་སྒྲུབ་པ་དང་།
- Attaining empowerment through offerings མཆོད་པས་དབང་བསྐུར་ཐོབ་པ།
Accomplishing enlightened activities through appearances
Appearance of the pure container སྣོད་དག་པའི་སྣང་བ།
ས་བཅུ་ཐོབ་མ་ཐག་པའི་ཚེ་ཏིང་ངེ་འཛིན་གྲངས་མེད་པ་འབུམ་ཕྲག་བཅུ་ཐོབ་པའི་རྗེས་ལ། ཏིང་ངེ་འཛིན་ཐམས་ཅད་མཁྱེན་པའི་ཡེ་ཤེས་དང་ཁྱད་པར་མེད་པར་
དབང་བསྐུར་བ་དང་ལྡན་པ་ཞེས་བྱ་བ། ཐོབ་མ་ཐག་ཏུ་སྟོང་གསུམ་འབུམ་ཕྲག་བཅུའི་རྒྱ་དང་མཉམ་པའི་པདྨ་རིན་པོ་ཆེ་དུ་མས་སྤྲས་པའི་གདན་དང་།
དེའི་འཁོར་དུ་སྟོང་གསུམ་འབུམ་ཕྲག་བཅུའི་རྡུལ་གྱི་གྲངས་དང་མཉམ་པའི་པདྨས་གང་བའི་སྣང་བའི་སྣང་བ་འབྱུང་ངོ༌།
Just upon having attained the ten grounds, after attaining one-million numberless concentrations, one attains a concentration called "possessing the empowerment of non-differentiation with the exalted wisdom of the exalted knower of all aspects", immediately upon which arise the appearances of a seat emanating many precious lotuses equal to the seals of a million-billion world-systems and its surrounding appears filled with lotuses equal to the atoms of a million-billion world systems.
Appearance of the pure contained བཅུད་དག་པའི་སྣང་བ།
དེ་ནས་རང་ཉིད་གདན་དེ་ལ་འཚམས་ཤིང་རྐྱེན་དུ་འབབ་པར་འདུག་ལ།
འཁོར་གྱི་པདྨ་ལ་ས་དགུ་པ་མན་ཆད་ཀྱི་བྱང་སེམས་བཞུགས་པས་བསྐོར་ཏེ་འདུག་པའི་སྣང་བ་འབྱུང་ངོ་།
Then, oneself descends and sits upon that seat and bodhisattvas of the ninth ground and below abide upon the surrounding lotuses.
Mode of accomplishing enlightened activities འཕྲིན་ལས་སྒྲུབ་ཚུལ།
བྱང་སེམས་དེའི་ཞབས་མཐིལ་གཉིས་དང་པུས་མོའི་ལྷ་ང་གཉིས་དང་ལྟེ་བ་དང་རྩིབ་ལོགས་གཉིས་དང་ཕྱག་མཐིལ་གཉིས་ལས་འོད་ཟེར་གྲངས་མེད་པ་འབུམ་ཕྲག་བཅུ་བཅུ་སྤྲོས་པས་རིམ་པ་བཞིན་དུ་ཡི་དྭགས་དང་། དམྱལ་བ་དང་། དུད་འགྲོ་དང་། མི་དང་། ལྷ་དང་། ལྷ་མ་ཡིན་གྱི་གནས་ཐམས་ཅད་སྣང་བར་བྱས་ནས་སྡུག་བསྔལ་ཐམས་ཅད་
ཞི་བར་བྱེད་དོ།
From each of those bodhisattvas' palms of the feet, knees, naval and chest, and palms of the hands, numberless millions rays of light emanate and gradually illuminate all the abodes of pretas, hell-beings, animals, humans, gods, and demi gods, pacifying all their suffering.
ཕྲག་པ་གཉིས་དང་རྒྱབ་མགུལ་གཉིས་དང་ཞལ་གྱི་སྒོ་ནས་འོད་ཟེར་གྲངས་མེད་པ་འབུམ་ཕྲག་བཅུ་བཅུ་སྤྲོས་པས་རིམ་པ་བཞིན་དུ་ཕྱོགས་བཅུའི་ཉན་ཐོས་དང་།
རང་རྒྱལ་དང་། སེམས་དང་པོ་བསྐྱེད་པ་ནས་ས་དགུ་པའི་བར་གྱི་གནས་གསུམ་པ་རྣམས་སྣང་བར་བྱས་ཤིང་ཆོས་སྣང་བའི་སྒོ་དང་།
ཞི་བའི་ཏིང་ངེ་འཛིན་གྱི་སྒོའི་ཚུལ་དང་། ཤེས་རབ་དང་ཐབས་མཁས་པའི་ཚུལ་ཡང་རིམ་པ་བཞིན་དུ་ཉེ་བར་སྒྲུབ་བོ།
From their shoulders, back and throat, and mouths, numberless millions rays of light emanate and gradually illuminate the three abodes of all directions' Hearers, Solitary Realisers, and Bodhisattvas from the first to ninth grounds. Also gradually accomplishing the illumination of dharma, pacifying concentrations, as well as wisdom and skilful means.
Attaining empowerment through offerings
Offerings མཆོད་པ།
བྱང་སེམས་དེའི་མཛོད་སྤུ་ནས་འོད་ཟེར་གྲངས་མེད་པ་འབུམ་ཕྲག་བཅུ་སྤྲོས་པས་ཕྱོགས་བཅུའི་བདུད་ཐམས་ཅད་ཟིལ་གྱིས་མནན་ཏེ་དབང་བསྐུར་ཐོབ་པའི་
བྱང་སེམས་རྣམས་སྣང་བར་བྱས་ཏེ། དེ་དག་གི་ལུས་ལ་ནུབ་པར་བྱེད་དོ།
Numberless millions rays of light emanate from the treasure-hair of the bodhisattvas, outshining all maras of the ten directions; i.e. through the illumination of the bodhisattvas that have attained empowerment, they dissolve into their bodies.
བྱང་སེམས་དེའི་སྤྱི་གཙུག་ནས་འོད་ཟེར་གྲངས་མེད་སྟོང་གསུམ་གྲངས་མེད་པ་འབུམ་ཕྲག་བཅུའི་རྡུལ་དང་མཉམ་པ་འཕྲོས་ནས་ཕྱོགས་བཅུའི་དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པའི་དཀྱིལ་འཁོར་ཐམས་ཅད་སྣང་བར་བྱས། འཇིག་རྟེན་ལན་བཅུར་བསྐོར་ནས་སྟེང་གི་ནམ་མཁའ་ལ་འོད་ཟེར་གྱི་དྲ་བའི་དཀྱིལ་འཁོར་དུ་བྱས་ཏེ། དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པ་མཆོད། སེམས་ཅན་གྱི་དོན་བྱས་ནས། དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པ་རྣམས་ཀྱི་ཞབས་ཀྱི་མཐིལ་དུ་ནུབ་པར་བྱེད་དོ།
Through radiating numberless rays of light equalling the atoms of a numberless million-billion world-systems from the crown, they illuminate the mandalas of the Tathagatas of the ten directions and, surrounding the world ten times, they create a mandala that is an array of light in the sky above; having made offerings to the Tathagatas and enacted the welfare of sentient beings, they dissolve into the palms of the Tathagata's feet.
Empowerment དབང་བསྐུར་བ།
ཕྱོགས་བཅུའི་རྒྱལ་བ་སྲས་བཅས་དེ་དག་གིས་བྱང་སེམས་དེ་དབང་བསྐུར་བའི་དུས་ལ་བབས་པར་གཟིགས་ནས་ཕྱོགས་བཅུ་ནས་ས་དགུ་པ་མན་ཆད་ལ་གནས་པའི་
བྱང་སེམས་མཐའ་ཡས་པ་འོངས་ནས། བྱང་སེམས་དེ་ལ་ལྟ་ཞིང་མཆོད་དེ། ཏིང་ངེ་འཛིན་སྟོང་ཕྲག་བཅུ་བཅུ་ལ་སྙོམས་པར་འཇུག་གོ།
The Conqueror and his children of the ten directions perceive that the time has come for that bodhisattva to receive empowerment, limitless bodhisattvas of the ninth ground and below come from the ten directions, regard and make offering to that bodhisattva, and enter into ten-thousand concentrations.
བྱང་སེམས་དབང་བསྐུར་བ་ཐོབ་པ་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་དཔལ་བེའུ་དང་རྡོ་རྗེ་དང་བཀྲ་ཤིས་ལས་བདུད་ཀྱི་དགྲ་ལས་རྣམ་པར་རྒྱལ་བ་ཞེས་བྱ་བའི་འོད་ཟེར་གཅིག་
འཁོར་འོད་ཟེར་གྲངས་མེད་པ་འབུམ་ཕྲག་བཅུ་བཅུ་དང་བཅས་པ་བྱུང་སྟེ། ཕྱོགས་བཅུ་སྣང་བར་བྱས། ཆོ་འཕྲུལ་མུ་མེད་པ་བསྟན་ཏེ།
བྱང་སེམས་དེའི་དཔལ་བེའུ་དང་རྡོ་རྗེ་དང་བཀྲ་ཤིས་རྣམས་སུ་རིམ་པ་བཞིན་དུ་ནུབ་པས། བྱང་སེམས་དེའི་མཐུ་སྟོབས་སྔར་ལས་ཀྱང་ལྷག་པར་འཕེལ་བར་འགྱུར་རོ།
From the endless-knot, vajra, and swastika of the bodhisattvas attaining empowerment, a single ray of light called "Victory over the enemy of the maras" arises, together with numberless millions rays of light from each of the retinue. Those illuminate the ten directions, display limitless magical emanations, and then gradually dissolve into the endless-knot, vajra, and swastika of that bodhisattva, thereby greatly increasing that bodhisattvas power.
དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པ་རྣམས་ཀྱི་མཛོད་སྤུ་ནས་ཀྱང་ཐམས་ཅད་མཁྱེན་པའི་མངོན་ཤེས་དང་ལྡན་པ་ཞེས་བྱ་བའི་འོད་ཟེར་གཅིག་འཁོར་འོད་ཟེར་གྲངས་མེད་པ་འབུམ་ཕྲག་བཅུ་བཅུ་དང་བཅས་པ་བྱུང་སྟེ། ཕྱོགས་བཅུ་ཐམས་ཅད་སྣང་བར་བྱས། འཇིག་རྟེན་ལན་བཅུ་བསྐོར་ནས། ངན་སོང་བ་ཐམས་ཅད་ཀྱི་སྡུག་བསྔལ་ཞི་བར་བྱས་ཤིང་
བདུད་ཐམས་ཅད་ཟིལ་གྱིས་མནན་ནས་བྱང་སེམས་དེའི་སྤྱི་བོར་ནུབ་ལ་འཁོར་གྱི་འོད་ཟེར་རྣམས་ནི་འཁོར་རྣམས་ཀྱི་སྤྱི་བོར་ནུབ་པར་འགྱུར་ཞིང་།
འོད་ཟེར་དེ་དག་གིས་ཕོག་མ་ཐག་ཏུ་བྱང་སེམས་དེ་དག་གིས་སྔོན་མ་ཐོབ་པའི་ཏིང་ངེ་འཛིན་སྟོང་ཕྲག་བཅུ་བཅུ་འཐོབ་ཅིང་།
འོད་ཟེར་དེ་དག་ཀྱང་བྱང་སེམས་དེའི་མགོ་ལ་དུས་གཅིག་ཏུ་ནུབ་པར་འགྱུར་རོ།
Also from the Tathagatas' treasury-hair, a single ray of light called "Possessing the clairvoyance of the exalted knower of all" arises, together with numberless millions rays of light from each of the retinue. They illuminate all ten directions, circle the world ten times, then pacify the suffering of all those in the lower realms and outshine all maras, before dissolving into that bodhisattva's crown. The light rays of the retinue dissolve into the crowns of the retinue and as soon as those light rays make contact, those bodhisattvas attain ten-thousand concentrations not previously attained and those light rays also dissolve into that bodhisattvas head at the same time.
འདི་དག་གི་སྒོ་ནས་རྗེ་བཙུན་ཙོང་ཁ་པ་ཆེན་པོས་བྱམས་པ་མགོན་པོ་ལ་བསྟོད་པའི་ཚིགས་བཅད་མང་དུ་ཡོད་ཀྱང་མང་དོགས་ནས་མ་དྲངས་སོ།
