Arya Vimuktasena (definite number)

སྐུ་བཞིར་འདོད་པ་ལས་གཞན་འཕགས་པ་གྲོལ་སྡེའི་རྗེས་འབྲང་སྐུ་གསུམ་དུ་འདོད་པ་དག་ནི། བྱང་ཆུབ་ཕྱོགས་མཐུན་ཚད་མེད་དང་།
ཞེས་སོགས་ཡེ་ཤེས་ཆོས་སྐུ་བསྟན་བྱའི་གཙོ་བོར་བྱས་ནས་བསྟན་པ་མི་འཐད་དེ། དེས་ངོ་བོ་ཉིད་སྐུ་བསྟན་བྱའི་གཙོ་བོར་བྱས་ནས་བསྟན་པའི་ཕྱིར་ཏེ།
Followers of Vimuktasena who assert Three Buddha Bodies indicating "The harmonies with enlightenment, immeasurables," in terms of the Exalted Wisdom Dharmakaya as the main indicated-object is incorrect because that indicates in terms of the Nature Body as the main indicated-object.

ཐུབ་པའི་ངོ་བོ་ཉིད་སྐུ་ནི། །ཟག་པ་མེད་པའི་ཆོས་གང་དག །ཅེས་པར་ཟག་མེད་ཀྱི་ཡེ་ཤེས་སྡེ་ཚན་ཉེར་གཅིག་པོ་དེ་ངོ་བོ་ཉིད་སྐུའི་ལྡན་པའི་ཡོན་ཏན་དུ་དངོས་སུ་བསྟན་ནས། དེའི་ཡོན་ཏན་དུ་གྱུར་པའི་ཡེ་ཤེས་དེ་འཆད་པ་ལ། བྱང་ཆུབ་ཕྱོགས་མཐུན་ཚད་མེད་དང་། ཞེས་སོགས་གསུངས་པའི་ཕྱིར།
This is because "The Muni's Nature Body is that which is the uncontaminated qualities" explicitly indicates the twenty-one sets of uncontaminated exalted wisdoms to be qualities possessed by the Nature Body, and in order to explain the exalted wisdoms that are those qualities it says "The harmonies with enlightenment, immeasurables," and so forth.

སངས་རྒྱས་ཀྱི་སྐུ་ལ་ངོ་བོ་ཉིད་སྐུ། ལོངས་སྐུ། སྤྲུལ་སྐུ་གསུམ་དུ་གྲངས་ངེས་པ་ཡིན་ཏེ། ཟག་མེད་ཀྱི་ཡེ་ཤེས་སྡེ་ཚན་ཉེར་གཅིག་པོ་དེ་ངོ་བོ་ཉིད་སྐུས་བསྡུས་པའི་ཕྱིར།
"The Buddha Bodies are definite as the three: Nature, Enjoyment, and Emanation Bodies because the twenty-one sets of uncontaminated exalted wisdoms are included within the Nature Body."

དེས་ན་དོན་དྲིལ་ན། འཕགས་པ་གྲོལ་སྡེས་ཡེ་ཤེས་ཆོས་སྐུ་བཞེད་ཀྱང་། དེས་སྐབས་བརྒྱད་པའི་བསྟན་བྱའི་གཙོ་བོར་གྱུར་པའི་ཡེ་ཤེས་ཆོས་སྐུ་མི་བཞེད་དོ།
Therefore, although Arya Vimuktasena asserts the Exalted Wisdom Dharmakaya, he does not assert an Exalted Wisdom Dharmakaya that is the main indicated-object of the eighth chapter.

སྐུ་གསུམ་འདོད་པ་ལས་གཞན་སྐུ་བཞིར་འདོད་པ་དག་ན་རེ། སངས་རྒྱས་ཀྱི་སྐུ་ལ་ངོ་བོ་ཉིད་ལོངས་སྤྲུལ་གསུམ་དུ་གྲངས་ངེས་པར་བཞེད་པ་དེ་དག་གི་ལྟར་ན།
ཁྱད་པར་གསུམ་ལྡན་གྱི་སངས་རྒྱས་ཀྱི་ཡེ་ཤེས་ཆོས་ཅན། སངས་རྒྱས་ཀྱི་སྐུ་མ་ཡིན་པར་ཐལ། སངས་རྒྱས་ཀྱི་སྐུ་ལ་གསུམ་པོ་དེར་གྲངས་ངེས་པ་གང་ཞིག
ངོ་བོ་ཉིད་སྐུ་ཡང་མ་ཡིན། ལོངས་སྤྱོད་རྫོགས་སྐུ་ཡང་མ་ཡིན། སྤྲུལ་སྐུ་ཡང་མ་ཡིན་པའི་ཕྱིར།
Those who assert Four Buddha Bodies:
Taking the subject - the Buddha's exalted wisdom possessing the three qualities (in accordance with those assertions that the Buddha Bodies are definite in number as the three: Nature, Enjoyment, and Emanation) - it follows that it is not a Buddha Body because 1) the Buddha Bodies are definite in number as those three and 2) it is neither the Nature Body, the Complete Enjoyment Body, or the Emanation Body.

ཁྱད་ཆོས་ཕྱི་མ་འདིས་འཕགས་པ་གྲོལ་སྡེས་ཁྱད་པར་གསུམ་ལྡན་གྱི་ཡེ་ཤེས་ཁས་ལེན་དགོས་པའི་རྒྱུ་མཚན་བསྟན་ཏེ།
ཡོན་ཏན་དེ་དག་མེད་ན་བདག་རྐྱེན་མེད་པའི་ཕྱིར་བདག་འབྲས་ཆོས་སྟོན་པ་སོགས་མེད་པར་ཐལ་བའི་སྐྱོན་ཡོད་པའི་ཕྱིར།
This latter distinguishing feature (function) indicated the reason that Arya Vimuktasena must assert an exalted wisdom possessing the three distinguishing features: because if it did not possess those qualities, there would be the fault of teaching Dharma (the empowered result) not existing because the empowering condition would not exist.
