Conceptions of apprehenders of substantial existents (Seeing)

རང་གི་དམིགས་ཡུལ་དུ་གྱུར་པའི་རྫས་འཛིན་ལ་དམིགས་ནས་ལོངས་སྤྱོད་བྱེད་དུ་བདེན་པར་ཞེན་པའི་བདེན་འཛིན་ཀུན་བརྟགས།
མཐོང་སྤང་ཤེས་སྒྲིབ་རྫས་འཛིན་རྟོག་པའི་མཚན་ཉིད།
Definition: An acquired true-grasping observing the apprehender of substantial existents that is its object and adhering to those as truly existent utilisers.

Divisions by way of object:

1. Degeneration from the cause of omniscience (8) རྣམ་མཁྱེན་གྱི་རྒྱུ་ལས་ཉམས་པ་བརྒྱད།
   • Adherence wrt conduct (3) སྤྱོད་པ་ལ་ཞེན་པ་གསུམ།
     1. Motivation for abandoning faults: The upholder of qualities that is like an illusion acting to adopt and discard objects conventionally
        ཀུན་རྫོབ་ཏུ་སྒྱུ་མ་ཡུལ་ལ་འདོར་ལེན་བྱེད་པ་ལྟར་ཡོན་ཏན་འཛིན་པ་པོ། སྐྱོན་འདོར་བའི་ཀུན་སློང།
     2. Entity: The mental engager of all phenomena as truly existent, without the correct mental engagement of those as illusion-like
        ཆོས་ཐམས་ཅད་ལ་ཡང་དག་པར་སྒྱུ་མ་ལྟར་ཡིད་ལ་མི་བྱེད་པར་བདེན་པར་ཡིད་ལ་བྱེད་པ་པོ། ངོ་བོ།
     3. Faults: The observer of those that is connected with the dharmata of the three realms having mentally engaged with their sings
        མཚན་མར་ཡིད་ལ་བྱས་པའི་ཆོས་ཉིད་ཀྱི་ཁམས་གསུམ་པོ་དང་ཉེ་བར་འབྲེལ་བ། དེ་དག་ཏུ་དམིགས་པ་པོ། ཉེས་དམིགས།
   • Adherence wrt objects of knowledge (3) ཤེས་བྱ་ལ་ཞེན་པ་གསུམ།
     1. Abider through adherence to forms and so forth due to not abiding without adherence in emptiness སྟོང་པ་ཉིད་ཞེན་མེད་དུ་མི་གནས་པས་གཟུགས་སོགས་ལ་ཞེན་ནས་གནས་པ་པོ།
     2. Engager in objects, i.e. adherence to all phenomena, by way of not adhering to things as truly existent དངོས་པོ་བདེན་པར་མ་ཞེན་པའི་ཚུལ་གྱིས་ཆོས་ཐམས་ཅད་ལ་མངོན་པར་ཞེན་པ་སྟེ་ཡུལ་དུ་བྱེད་པ་པོ།
     3. Conceiver of all phenomena (forms and so forth) as merely imputed conventionally due to the non-existence of substantial existents ultimately
        དོན་དམ་པར་རྫས་སུ་ཡོད་པའི་ཆོས་མེད་པས་གཟུགས་སོགས་ཀྱི་ཆོས་ཐམས་ཅད་ཐ་སྙད་དུ་བཏགས་པ་ཙམ་དུ་རྟོག་པ་པོ།
   • Adherence wrt abandonments and antidotes (2) སྤང་གཉེན་ལ་ཞེན་པ་གཉིས།
     1. Agent that is attached and earnest wrt the six perfections by way of being preceded by non-adherence due to non-attachment to the three spheres whose suchness is known
        དེ་ཁོ་ན་ཉིད་ཤེས་པའི་འཁོར་གསུམ་དུ་མ་ཆགས་པས་མངོན་པར་མ་ཞེན་པ་སྔོན་དུ་འགྲོ་བའི་སྒོ་ནས་ཕྱིན་དྲུག་ལ་ཆགས་ཤིང་ནན་ཏན་དུ་བྱེད་པ་པོ།
     2. Applier of antidotes for grasping at what is to be adopted and discarded through the antidotes of having cultivated equality of existence and peace
        སྲིད་ཞི་མཉམ་ཉིད་དུ་བསྒོམས་པའི་གཉེན་པོ་ཉིད་ཀྱིས་དེ་ལ་བླང་དོར་དུ་འཛིན་པའི་གཉེན་པོ་བྱེད་པ་པོ།
2. Degeneration from the resultant omniscience (1) འབྲས་བུ་རྣམ་མཁྱེན་ལས་ཉམས་པ་གཅིག
   1. Agent that is unobstructed wrt proceeding in accordance with one's wishes through the five of generosity and so forth due to correctly and non-erroneously not knowing the perfection of wisdom
      ཤེར་ཕྱིན་ཡང་དག་པར་ཕྱིན་ཅི་མ་ལོག་པར་མ་ཤེས་པ་ཉིད་ཀྱིས་སྦྱིན་སོགས་ལྔས་ཇི་ལྟར་འདོད་པ་བཞིན་དུ་འགྲོས་ཐོགས་པ་པོ།

རྟོག་པ་དེ་དག་གིས་ཡུལ་དེ་དག་ལ་རྟོག་ཚུལ་ཡོད་དེ།
ཡུལ་དགུ་པོ་དེ་དག་དང་ལྡན་པའི་གང་ཟག་གམ་ཤེས་རྒྱུད་ལ་འདི་ནི་རྫས་སུ་ཡོད་པའི་བདག་གོ་སྙམ་དུ་དོན་དམ་པའི་དངོས་པོར་མངོན་པར་ཞེན་པས་འཛིན་པའི་ཕྱིར།
Mode of conception: Apprehension through adhering to persons or mental continua possessing these nine objects as truly existent things, thinking "These are the substantially existent self."

རྟོག་པ་དེ་དགུ་ཆོས་ཅན། མཐོང་སྤང་ཡིན་ཏེ། མཐོང་ལམ་རྩེ་མོའི་སྦྱོར་བ་ཉེར་བསྡོགས་ཀྱི་གནས་སྐབས་ཀྱི་སྤང་བྱ་ཡིན་པའི་ཕྱིར།
They are objects of abandonment of the path of seeing because of being objects of abandonment of the occasion of preparation of Peak Application of the path of seeing.

འདིས་མདོ་ལས་གཉེན་པོ་དགུ་དངོས་སུ་བསྟན་ནས་གསུངས་ལ། དེ་ཡང་གསུམ་པ་དྲུག་པ་བདུན་པ་ལ་སྤང་གཉེན་གཉིས་ཀ་གསུངས།
དེའི་ཤུགས་ལ་འཕངས་པའི་ཆོས་དགུ་རྫས་འཛིན་རྟོག་པའི་ཡུལ་དུ་བསྟན་བཅོས་སུ་གསུངས་སོ།
Sutra explicitly indicates the nine antidotes, as well as both antidotes and objects of abandonment for the third, sixth, and seventh. The nine dharmas implicitly indicated by that are explained in the treatise as the objects of the conceptions of apprehenders of substantial existents.
