Difference between Hearers and Solitary Realisers

རང་རྒྱལ་དགྲ་བཅོམ་པ་ཆོས་ཅན། ཉན་ཐོས་ལས་ལམ་བགྲོད་ཚུལ་གྱི་སྒོ་ནས་ཁྱད་པར་དུ་འཕགས་ཏེ། སྲིད་པ་ཐ་མའི་ཚེ་སློབ་དཔོན་གཞན་གྱི་གདམས་ངག་ལ་
མི་ལྟོས་པར་འདོད་པའི་རྟེན་ལ་རང་གི་བྱང་ཆུབ་མངོན་དུ་བྱེད་པར་ངེས་པའི་གང་ཟག་ཡིན་པའི་ཕྱིར། དེ་ཆོས་ཅན། ཉན་ཐོས་ལས་ཆོས་སྟོན་ཚུལ་གྱི་སྒོ་ནས་
ཁྱད་པར་དུ་འཕགས་ཏེ། གཙོ་བོར་རང་གི་གདུལ་བྱ་ལ་སྒྲ་མེད་ལུས་ཀྱི་རྣམ་འགྱུར་གྱི་སྒོ་ནས་ཆོས་སྟོན་པར་བྱེད་པའི་ཕྱིར།
The subject – Solitary Realiser Arhats:

• They are superior to Hearers by way of the way of traversing the path because of being persons who, in their final existence, are definite to actualise their enlightenment on a Desire Realm support without relying upon the oral instructions of a teacher.
• They are superior to Hearers by way of the way of teaching dharma because they mainly teach dharma to their disciples by way of physical expression, without speech.

བསེ་རུ་ལྟ་བུའི་རང་རྒྱལ་དགྲ་བཅོམ་པ་ཆོས་ཅན། གཙོ་བོར་རང་གི་གདུལ་བྱ་ལ་སྒྲ་མེད་ལུས་ཀྱི་རྣམ་འགྱུར་གྱི་སྒོ་ནས་ཆོས་སྟོན་པས་ཇི་ཙམ་འཚམས་པའི་རྟོགས་པ་སྐྱེད་པར་ནུས་ཏེ། སྔོན་དེ་ལྟར་ནུས་པའི་སྨོན་ལམ་བཏབ་པས་སྨོན་ལམ་ལེགས་པར་གྲུབ་པའི་ཕྱིར། དཔེར་ན་སངས་རྒྱས་བཞིན་ནོ།
The subject - Rhinoceros-like Solitary Realiser Arhats - they are able to generate the desired realisations in their disciples through mainly teaching them dharma by way of physical expression, without sound, because they have properly accomplished their previously made prayers to be able to do as such; just like the Buddhas.

དེ་ལྟར་སྨོན་ལམ་འདེབས་པའི་རྒྱུ་མཚན་ཡོད་དེ། ཚིག་ཏུ་བརྗོད་པ་ནི་ཡིད་ཕྱི་རོལ་ཏུ་རྣམ་པར་གཡེང་བྱེད་ཡིན་ལ། དེ་ཡང་རྒྱུད་འཁྲུགས་པ་སྟེ་མ་ཞི་བར་བྱེད་པས་ཉེས་པ་དེ་མཐོང་ནས་སྨོན་ལམ་བཏབ་པའི་ཕྱིར། དེ་གཡེང་བ་ཡིན་པ་ཡང༌། རྟོག་པས་ངོ་བོ་ལ་རྣམ་པར་མ་བརྟགས། དཔྱོད་པས་ཁྱད་པར་ལ་རྣམ་པར་མ་དཔྱད་པར་ཚིག་ཏུ་སྨྲ་མི་ནུས་ཏེ། རྟོག་དཔྱོད་དག་ཀུན་སློང་ཡིན་པའི་ཕྱིར།
There is a reason for making such prayers because speaking words acts to distract the mind outwardly and also agitate the continuum, i.e. make it unpeaceful; therefore, seeing these faults, they make such prayers.
Moreover, it is a distraction because without investigation investigating the nature and analysis analysing the attributes, one is unable to speak words; because investigation and analysis are its motivation.
