Eighteen unmixed qualities of Buddhas

རང་གི་བདག་རྐྱེན་དུ་གྱུར་པའི་རབ་མཐའི་བསམ་གཏན་ལ་བརྟེན་ནས་འཕགས་ཆུང་འོག་མ་རྣམས་དང་ཡོན་ཏན་གྱི་རིགས་དང་སྡེ་ཚན་ཅུང་ཟད་ཀྱང་མ་འདྲེས་པས་
རབ་ཏུ་ཕྱེ་བའི་མཐར་ཐུག་པའི་མཁྱེན་པ། སངས་རྒྱས་ཀྱི་ཆོས་མ་འདྲེས་པའི་མཚན་ཉིད།
Definition: A final exalted wisdom distinguished by not being even slightly mixed with the classes and categories of qualities of inferior Aryas in dependence upon the final concentration that is its empowering condition.

Divisions:

• Six included in conduct སྤྱོད་པས་བསྡུས་པ་དྲུག
  1. Pure actions of body: without mistakes such as stepping on black snakes and so forth
     སྦྲུལ་ནག་པོ་རྡོག་པས་བརྫི་བ་སོགས་འཁྲུལ་བ་མི་མངའ་བའི་ལུས་ཀྱི་ལས་དག་པ།
  2. Pure actions of speech: without making disturbing sounds through losing the path and so forth
     ལམ་སྟོར་ནས་ཅ་ཅོའི་སྒྲ་འབྱིན་པ་སོགས་མི་མངའ་བའི་ངག་གི་ལས་དག་པ།
  3. Pure actions of mind: ཡིད་ཀྱི་ལས་དག་པ།
     1. Without degeneration of memory such as letting activities slip due to forgetting
        བརྗེད་ནས་བྱ་བ་ཤོར་བ་སོགས་ཀྱི་དྲན་པ་ཉམས་པ་མི་མངའ་བ།
     2. Without a non-equipoised mind at all times, suitable and unsuitable for absorption
        སྙོམས་པར་ཞུགས་རུང་མ་ཞུགས་རུང་དུས་ཐམས་ཅད་དུ་ཐུགས་མཉམ་པར་མ་བཞག་པ་མི་མངའ་བ།
     3. Without discrimination of the difference of samsara and nirvana (or existence and peace) being apprehended as ultimately discordant or pacified
        འཁོར་འདས་སམ་སྲིད་ཞི་ལ་དོན་དམ་པར་མི་མཐུན་པ་དང་ཞི་བར་འཛིན་པ་ཉིད་ཀྱི་ཐ་དད་པའི་འདུ་ཤེས་མི་མངའ་བ།
     4. Without indifference that discards, without individually investigating, the time and so forth to tame sentient beings སེམས་ཅན་འདུལ་བའི་དུས་ལ་སོགས་པ་སོ་སོར་མ་བརྟགས་པར་འདོར་བའི་བཏང་སྙོམས་མི་མངའ་བ།
• Six included in realisation རྟོགས་པས་བསྡུས་པ་དྲུག
  1. Without degeneration of the aspiration giving rise to Tathagatas' wish to always enact the welfare of sentient beings and for qualities such as love and compassion to be uninterrupted
     དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པ་དུས་ཐམས་ཅད་དུ་སེམས་ཅན་གྱི་དོན་མཛད་པ་དང༌།
     བྱམས་པ་དང་ཐུགས་རྗེ་ཆེན་པོ་ལ་སོགས་པའི་ཆོས་ལ་རྒྱུན་མི་འཆད་པར་འདོད་པ་འབྱུང་བའི་འདུན་པ་ཉམས་པ་མི་མངའ་བ།
  2. Without degeneration of joyous effort in proceeding to numberless world-systems for each sentient being སེམས་ཅན་རེ་རེའི་ཕྱིར་འཇིག་རྟེན་གྱི་ཁམས་གྲངས་མེད་དུ་གཤེགས་པའི་བརྩོན་འགྲུས་ཉམས་པ་མི་མངའ་བ།
  3. Without degeneration of the mindfulness that does not need to think again about the mental conduct of all sentient beings of the three times, the methods for taming them, and so forth, from the time of having attained enlightenment due to having placed those in one's memory
     སངས་རྒྱས་ནས་དུས་གསུམ་གྱི་སེམས་ཅན་ཐམས་ཅད་ཀྱི་སེམས་ཀྱི་སྤྱོད་པ་དང་དེ་འདུལ་བའི་ཐབས་སོགས་དྲན་ལམ་དུ་བཞག་པས་
     ཕྱིས་དེ་ལ་བསམ་མི་དགོས་པའི་དྲན་པ་ཉམས་པ་མི་མངའ་བ།
  4. Without degeneration of concentration set in equipoise on the suchness of all phenomena
     ཆོས་ཐམས་ཅད་ཀྱི་དེ་བཞིན་ཉིད་ལ་མཉམ་པར་འཇོག་པའི་ཏིང་ངེ་འཛིན་ཉམས་པ་མི་མངའ་བ།
  5. Without degeneration of inexhaustible wisdom knowing the mental conduct of sentient beings and the dharma to teach སེམས་ཅན་གྱི་སེམས་ཀྱི་སྤྱོད་པ་དང་ཆོས་སྟོན་པ་མཁྱེན་པ་མི་ཟད་པའི་ཤེས་རབ་ཉམས་པ་མི་མངའ་བ།
  6. Without degeneration of inexhaustible complete liberation wrt enacting the welfare of sentient beings until samsara ends འཁོར་བ་ཇི་སྲིད་པར་སེམས་ཅན་གྱི་དོན་མཛད་པ་ལ་མི་ཟད་པའི་རྣམ་པར་གྲོལ་བ་ལས་ཉམས་པ་མི་མངའ་བ།
• Three included in enlightened activities འཕྲིན་ལས་ཀྱིས་བསྡུས་པ་གསུམ།
  1. Body: taming sentient beings through radiating light and so forth
     འོད་འགྱེད་པ་སོགས་ཀྱིས་སེམས་ཅན་འདུལ་བའི་སྐུའི་འཕྲིན་ལས།
  2. Speech: instructing in accordance with sentient beings' attitudes and so forth
     སེམས་ཅན་གྱི་བསམ་པ་སོགས་དང་མཐུན་པར་འདོམས་པའི་གསུང་གི་འཕྲིན་ལས།
  3. Mind: having abandoned all imprints and possessing great love
     བག་ཆགས་མ་ལུས་པར་སྤངས་ཤིང་བྱམས་པ་ཆེན་པོ་དང་ལྡན་པའི་ཐུགས་ཀྱི་འཕྲིན་ལས།
     These precede exalted wisdom due to arising from the cause of prior exalted wisdom and follow exalted wisdom due to moving together with exalted wisdom.
     ཡེ་ཤེས་སྔར་བྱུང་གི་རྒྱུ་ལས་བྱུང་བས་ཡེ་ཤེས་སྔོན་དུ་འགྲོ་ཞིང༌། ཡེ་ཤེས་དང་ལྷན་ཅིག་ཏུ་རྒྱུ་བས་ཡེ་ཤེས་ཀྱི་རྗེས་སུ་འབྲང་བ།
• Three included in exalted wisdom ཡེ་ཤེས་ཀྱིས་བསྡུས་པ་གསུམ།
  འདས་པ་དང་མ་འོངས་པ་དང་ད་ལྟར་གྱུར་པའི་ཆོས་ཐམས་ཅད་ལ་བཞེད་པ་ཙམ་གྱིས་མཁྱེན་པས་མ་ཆགས་ཤིང༌། ཐམས་ཅད་མཁྱེན་པས་མ་ཐོགས་པའི་ཡེ་ཤེས།
  Exalted wisdom unobstructed due to knowing by merely wishing to and due to omniscience wrt to all phenomena that are:
  1. Past
  2. Future
  3. Present

འདུས་མ་བྱས་ཀྱི་ནམ་མཁའ་དེ་འབྱུང་བཞི་དང་མཚན་ཉིད་མ་འདྲེས་པར་གནས་པ་བཞིན་དུ།
འཕགས་ཆུང་འོག་མ་རྣམས་དང་ཡོན་ཏན་གྱི་རིགས་དང་སྡེ་ཚན་ཅུང་ཟད་ཀྱང་མ་འདྲེས་པས་ན་དེ་ལྟར་བརྗོད་པའི་ཕྱིར།
Etymology: Just as uncompounded space remains unmixed with the characteristics of the four elements, these are not even slightly mixed with the classes and categories of qualities of inferior Aryas.
