Emanation Body (4-Bodies GM)

རང་གི་ནང་ཚན་དུ་གྱུར་པའི་ལོངས་སྐུ་ཡིན་པ་མེད་པ་གང་ཞིག །ངེས་པ་ལྔ་དང་མི་ལྡན་པའི་གཟུགས་སྐུ་མཐར་ཐུག་དེ། སངས་རྒྱས་ཀྱི་སྤྲུལ་པའི་སྤྲུལ་སྐུའི་མཚན་ཉིད།
Definition: That which is:

1. Not an Enjoyment Body that is its subdivision; and
2. A final Form Body that does not possess the five certainties.

Division according to (Serlingpa's) Illumination of the Difficult Points: རྟོགས་དཀའི་སྣང་བ་ལས།

1. Ripened Emanation Body རྣམ་པར་སྨིན་པའི་སྤྲུལ་སྐུ།
2. Unripened Emanation Body རྣམ་པར་སྨིན་པ་མ་ཡིན་པའི་སྤྲུལ་སྐུ།

Division:

1. Artisan བཟོ་བོ་སྤྲུལ་སྐུ།
   e.g. The artisan Vishokarma that was an emanation of Buddha and Our Teacher emanating in the form of a smell-eater lute player in order to tame the king of smell-eaters Rabga. སངས་རྒྱས་ཀྱི་སྤྲུལ་པར་གྱུར་པའི་བཟོ་བོ་བི་
   ཤཱོ་ཀརྨ་དང་བདག་ཅག་གི་སྟོན་པས་དྲི་ཟའི་རྒྱལ་པོ་རབ་དགའ་གདུལ་བའི་ཕྱིར་དུ་དྲི་ཟའི་པི་ཝང་བརྡུང་བའི་གཟུགས་སུ་སྤྲུལ་པའི་སྤྲུལ་པ་ལྟ་བུ།
2. Birth སྐྱེ་བ་སྤྲུལ་སྐུ།
   e.g. the Teacher emanating as birds, wild animals, and so forth; and Jetsun Maitreya with a Tushita support སྟོན་པ་བྱ་རི་དྭགས་སོགས་སུ་སྤྲུལ་པའི་དེ་ལྟ་བུ་དང་། དགའ་ལྡན་གྱི་རྟེན་ཅན་གྱི་རྗེ་བཙུན་བྱམས་པ་ལྟ་བུ།
3. Supreme Emanation Body of Great Enlightenment བྱང་ཆུབ་ཆེན་པོ་མཆོག་གི་སྤྲུལ་པའི་སྐུ།
   e.g. Our Teacher Shakyamuni བདག་ཅག་གི་སྟོན་པ་ཤཱཀྱ་ཐུབ་པ་ལྟ་བུ་ཡིན།
   This is divided into two: those of pure fields and those of impure fields
   འདི་ལ་དག་ཞིང་གི་མཆོག་གི་སྤྲུལ་སྐུ་དང་མ་དག་པའི་ཞིང་གི་མཆོག་གི་སྤྲུལ་སྐུ་གཉིས་ཡོད།

ནིར་མ་ཎ་ཀ་ཡ་སྤྲུལ་སྐུ་སྟེ། ངེས་པར་འགྱུར་བ་སྟེ། རྒྱུན་མི་བརྟན་པས་ན་སྤྲུལ་སྐུ། ཡང་ན། ངེས་པར་གནས་གཞན་དུ་སྤྲུལ་ཞིང་སྒྱུར་བས་ན་སྤྲུལ་སྐུའོ།
Etymology for Nirmanakaya:

• Due to an unstable continuity or
• Due to definitely emanating in other places and transforming

མཆོག་གི་སྤྲུལ་སྐུས་གདུལ་བྱ་རྣམས་སྨིན་གྲོལ་ལ་འགོད་ཚུལ་ཡོད་དེ། དེས་སེམས་ཅན་རྣམས་སྲིད་པ་གསུམ་ལ་སྐྱོ་བ་བསྐྱེད་ནས་མྱ་ངན་འདས་ལ་འདུན་པར་མཛད་པ་དང་། ཐེག་དམན་དུ་ཞུགས་པ་ཟློག་ནས་ཐེག་ཆེན་དུ་སྨིན་པར་བྱེད་པ་དང་། དེ་བྱང་ཆུབ་མཆོག་ཏུ་ལུང་བསྟན་པའི་སྒོ་ནས་གདུལ་བྱ་སྨིན་གྲོལ་ལ་འགོད་པར་བྱེད་པའི་ཕྱིར།
There is a way in which the Supreme Emanation Body sets disciples in liberation because it encourages sentient beings towards liberation through generating disillusionment with the three realms, overcoming their entering the Hinayana through ripening them into the Mahayana, and sets disciples in liberation of supreme enlightenment by way of teaching the scriptures.

མདོར་ན་སྐུའི་འོད་དང་འོད་ཟེར་གྱིས་རེག་པ། སྐུ་མཐོང་ཐོས་དྲན་རེག་ཙམ་གྱིས་ཀྱང་གདུལ་བྱ་སྨིན་གྲོལ་ལ་འགོད་ནུས།
གསུང་ཚིགས་སུ་བཅད་པ་རེ་རེས་ཀྱང་གདུལ་བྱ་དཔག་ཏུ་མེད་པ་འཕགས་པའི་གོ་འཕང་ལ་འགོད་ནུས། ཐུགས་ཏིང་ངེ་འཛིན་གཅིག་ལ་མཉམ་པར་བཞག་པས་ཀྱང་། གདུལ་བྱ་ལ་ཕན་བདེ་དཔག་ཏུ་མེད་པ་སྟེར་ནུས་པ་ཡིན་པའི་ཕྱིར་རོ།
In short, it is able to set disciples in liberation through contact with the Body's light and light-rays, and even through merely seeing, hearing, remembering, or being in contact with the Body; it is able to set inestimable disciples in the state of an Arya through even single verses of teachings; and it is able to give disciples inestimable benefit and happiness even through their mind is in equipoise on a single meditative stabilisation.

སངས་རྒྱས་ཀྱི་སྤྲུལ་སྐུ་ཆོས་ཅན། ཁྱོད་རྒྱུན་ཆད་པའི་དུས་མི་སྲིད་དེ།
དུས་འཁོར་བ་ཇི་སྲིད་མ་སྟོང་གི་བར་དུ་མཛད་པ་བཅུ་གཉིས་ཀྱི་ཚུལ་སྟོན་པའི་སྤྲུལ་སྐུ་རྒྱུན་མར་འབྱུང་བའི་ཕྱིར།
The subject - the Buddha's Emanation Body - a time when it ceases is impossible because an Emanation Body displaying the Twelve Deeds continuously arises for as long as samsara is not empty.
