ཉོན་མོངས་རྟགས་སོགས་ཀྱིས་དབེན་པའི་སེམས་དཔའི་རྣལ་འབྱོར་བཅུ་དྲུག་ཆོས་ཅན། ཁྱོད་ལ་མཚན་ཉིད་ཀྱི་སྒྲས་སྟོན་པའི་རྒྱུ་མཚན་ཡོད་དེ།
ཁྱོད་སྦྱོར་བ་བཅུ་དྲུག་མཚོན་པར་བྱེད་པའི་གཞི་ཡིན་པས་ན་དེ་ལྟར་བསྟན་པའི་ཕྱིར།
The subject - the sixteen Bodhisattva yogas that are separated from afflictions, signs and so forth - there is a reason for indicating them using the term "characteristics": due to being bases acting to illustrate the sixteen applications.

There are sixteen entity-characteristics of Mahayana applications: ཐེག་ཆེན་སྦྱོར་བའི་ངོ་བོ་ཉིད་མཚན་དེ་ལ་བཅུ་དྲུག་ཡོད་དེ།
