Five exalted wisdoms of a Buddha
In general, there are five Buddha Exalted Wisdoms: སྤྱིར་སངས་རྒྱས་ཀྱི་ཡེ་ཤེས་ལ།
- Dharmadhatu exalted wisdom ཆོས་དབྱིངས་ཡེ་ཤེས།
- Mirror-like exalted wisdom མེ་ལོང་ལྟ་བུའི་ཡེ་ཤེས།
- Exalted wisdom of equality མཉམ་པ་ཉིད་ཀྱི་ཡེ་ཤེས།
- Exalted wisdom of individual realisation སོ་སོར་རྟོགས་པའི་ཡེ་ཤེས།
- Exalted wisdom of accomplishing actions བྱ་བ་སྒྲུབ་པའི་ཡེ་ཤེས།
The first refers to the Nature Body, so the latter four are actual divisions.
ཤེས་བྱ་ཆོས་ཅན། ཡེ་ཤེས་བཞི་པོ་དེ་ཡང་དག་པར་འབྱུང་བའི་རྒྱུ་མེད་པ་མ་ཡིན་ཏེ། དམ་པའི་ཆོས་ཕྱིན་ཅི་མ་ལོག་པར་འཛིན་པ་དང་། སེམས་མཉམ་པ་ཉིད་སྒོམ་པ་དང་། ཆོས་ཡང་དག་པར་རབ་ཏུ་སྟོན་པ་དང་། གདུལ་བྱའི་བྱ་བ་སྒྲུབ་པས་ཡེ་ཤེས་བཞི་པོ་དེ་གོ་རིམ་བཞིན་དུ་འགྱུར་བའི་ཕྱིར་རོ།
The subject - objects of knowledge - those four exalted wisdoms are not without the causes for their correct arising because respectively:
- Apprehending the holy dharma non-erroneously
- Cultivating an equal mind
- Thoroughly and completely displaying of phenomena
- Accomplishing actions for disciples
Will become those four exalted wisdoms.
ཡེ་ཤེས་བཞི་པོ་དེ་ཆོས་ཅན། ཡེ་ཤེས་ཆོས་སྐུ་ཡིན་ཏེ། གནས་གྱུར་མཐར་ཕྱིན་པའི་ཡེ་ཤེས་ཡིན་པའི་ཕྱིར།
The subject - those four exalted wisdoms - they are the exalted wisdom Dharmakaya because of being transformed final exalted wisdoms.
དེས་ན། སངས་རྒྱས་ཤཱཀྱ་ཐུབ་པ་ཆོས་ཅན། ཁྱོད་མིག་སོགས་དབང་པོ་ལྔ་པོ་དང་དོན་ལྔ་པོ་ཀུན་ལ་འཇུག་པ་དང་། ལྔ་པོ་ཐམས་ཅད་ཀྱི་ཡོན་ཏན་བརྒྱ་ཕྲག་བཅུ་གཉིས་
བཅུ་གཉིས་འབྱུང་བའི་འབྱོར་པ་དམ་པ་ཐོབ་པར་འགྱུར་ཏེ། ཁྱོད་དབང་པོ་ལྔ་ཟག་བཅས་རྣམས་གནས་གཞན་དུ་གྱུར་པ་མཐར་ཐུག་པའི་སྐྱེས་བུ་ཡིན་པའི་ཕྱིར།
Therefore, the subject - Buddha Shakyamuni - his five senses (eyes and so forth) engage all five objects and all five attain the holy excellences of each having the twelve sets of one-hundred qualities because of being a being whose five contaminated senses have completely transformed.
སངས་རྒྱས་འཕགས་པའི་ཐུགས་རྒྱུད་ཀྱི་ཡིད་ཀྱི་རྣམ་པར་ཤེས་པ་ཆོས་ཅན། མེ་ལོང་ལྟ་བུའི་ཡེ་ཤེས་ཡིན་ཏེ།
ཀུན་བྱང་གི་ཆོས་ཐམས་ཅད་ཀྱི་གཞི་རྟེན་དུ་གྱུར་པའི་ཡིད་ཀྱི་རྣམ་པར་ཤེས་པ་གནས་གཞན་དུ་གྱུར་པ་མཐར་ཐུག་པའི་ཡེ་ཤེས་ཡིན་པའི་ཕྱིར།
The subject - the mental consciousness in the continuum of an Arya Buddha - it is a Mirror-like exalted wisdom because it is a final exalted wisdom that is a thoroughly transformed mental consciousness that is the support of all completely pure phenomena.
དེ་ཆོས་ཅན། མཉམ་པ་ཉིད་ཀྱི་ཡེ་ཤེས་ཡིན་ཏེ། ཉོན་མོངས་པ་དང་བཅས་པའི་ཡིད་ཀྱི་རྣམ་པར་ཤེས་པ་གནས་གཞན་དུ་གྱུར་པ་མཐར་ཐུག་པའི་ཡེ་ཤེས་ཡིན་པའི་ཕྱིར།
That subject, it is an exalted wisdom of equality because it is a final exalted wisdom that is a thoroughly transformed mental consciousness that possessed afflictions.
དེ་ཆོས་ཅན། སོ་སོར་རྟོགས་པའི་ཡེ་ཤེས་ཡིན་ཏེ། སེམས་ཅན་གྱི་རྒྱུད་ཀྱི་ཡིད་ཀྱི་རྣམ་ཤེས་གནས་གཞན་དུ་གྱུར་པ་མཐར་ཕྱིན་པའི་ཡེ་ཤེས་ཡིན་པའི་ཕྱིར།
That subject, it is an exalted wisdom of individual realisation because it is a final exalted wisdom that is a thoroughly transformed mental consciousness in sentient beings' continua.
སངས་རྒྱས་འཕགས་པའི་རྒྱུད་ཀྱི་དབང་ཤེས་ལྔ་ཆོས་ཅན། བྱ་བ་སྒྲུབ་པའི་ཡེ་ཤེས་ཡིན་ཏེ།
དྲི་མ་དང་བཅས་པའི་དབང་ཤེས་ལྔ་གནས་གཞན་དུ་གྱུར་པ་མཐར་ཕྱིན་པའི་ཡེ་ཤེས་ཡིན་པའི་ཕྱིར།
The subject - the five sense consciousnesses in the continuum of an Arya Buddha - they are exalted wisdoms of accomplishing activities because of being final exalted wisdoms that are thoroughly transformed five sense consciousnesses with stains.
སངས་རྒྱས་འཕགས་པའི་ཐུགས་རྒྱུད་ཀྱི་སེམས་ཀྱི་ཆོས་ཉིད་ཆོས་ཅན། ངོ་བོ་ཉིད་སྐུ་ཡིན་ཏེ། གནས་གྱུར་མཐར་ཕྱིན་པའི་ཆོས་ཉིད་ཡིན་པའི་ཕྱིར།
The subject - the dharmata of the mind in the continuum of an Arya Buddha - it is a Nature Body because it is a thoroughly transformed final exalted wisdom.
