Five powers
རང་འབྲས་འཕགས་ལམ་སྐྱེད་པ་ལ་རང་དབང་དུ་གྱུར་པའི་མཁྱེན་པ། བྱང་ཕྱོགས་སོ་བདུན་གྱི་ནང་ཚན་དུ་གྱུར་པའི་དབང་པོའི་མཚན་ཉིད།
Definition (of the subdivision of the harmonies): An exalted knower that is self-powered wrt generating its resultant Arya paths.
Divisions:
- Faith དད་པའི་དབང་པོ།
Faith of conviction wrt what is to be adopted and discarded wrt the four truths
བདེན་བཞིའི་བླང་དོར་ལ་ཡིད་ཆེས་པའི་དད་པ་དང༌། - Joyous effort བརྩོན་འགྲུས་ཀྱི་དབང་པོ།
Delight in what is to be realised wrt the four truths བདེན་བཞི་རྟོགས་པར་བྱ་བ་ལ་སྤྲོ་བ་དང༌། - Mindfulness དྲན་པའི་དབང་པོ།
Apprehending without forgetting their related objects and aspects
དེའི་དབང་དུ་བྱས་པའི་དམིགས་རྣམ་མི་བརྗེད་པར་འཛིན་པ་དང༌། - Concentration ཏིང་ངེ་འཛིན་གྱི་དབང་པོ།
Single-pointed mind wrt their meaning དེའི་དོན་ལ་སེམས་རྩེ་གཅིག་པ་དང༌། - Wisdom ཤེས་རབ་ཀྱི་དབང་པོ།
Thorough differentiation into their individual aspects དེ་དག་སོ་སོར་རབ་ཏུ་རྣམ་པར་འབྱེད་པའོ།
སྦྱོར་ལམ་དྲོད་ནས་སངས་རྒྱས་ཀྱི་སའི་བར་དུ་ཡོད།
Boundaries: from the heat level of the path of preparation and up to the Buddha-ground.
རང་འབྲས་འཕགས་ལམ་སྐྱེད་པ་ལ་རང་དབང་དུ་གྱུར་པས་ན་དབང་པོ་ཞེས་བྱའོ།
Etymology: Due to being self-powered wrt generating their resultant Arya paths.
དམིགས་ཡུལ་ཡོད་དེ། བདེན་པ་བཞི་པོ་དེ་དེ་ཡིན་པའི་ཕྱིར་ཏེ། འདི་དག་འཕགས་ལམ་གྱི་སྦྱོར་བས་བསྡུས་པས་བདེན་བཞིའི་རྣམ་པ་ཅན་ཡིན་པའི་ཕྱིར་ཏེ།
Objects of observation: the four truths.
Since these are included within the preparation for arya paths, they possess the aspects of the four truths.
གཉིས་པ་སྒོམ་ཚུལ་ཡོད་དེ། བསྒོམས་བྱུང་གི་རྣལ་འབྱོར་ལ་བརྟེན་ནས་བདེན་བཞིའི་བླང་དོར་ལ་ཡིད་ཆེས་པའི་དད་པས་
དམིགས་རྣམ་མི་བརྗེད་པར་འཛིན་པའི་དྲན་པ་རྒྱུན་ལྡན་དུ་སྒོམ་པར་བྱེད་པའི་ཕྱིར།
Mode of cultivation: Continuous cultivation of mindfulness that apprehends (without forgetting) the objects and aspects by means of faith of conviction wrt what is to be adopted and discarded wrt the four truths and in dependence upon a yoga arisen from meditation.

འདུན་པ་སོགས་ཀྱིས་སེམས་ཡོངས་སུ་སྦྱང་བ་བྱས་པ་ལ་བདེན་པ་མངོན་པར་རྟོགས་བྱེད་དྲོ་བ་དང་རྩེ་མོ་འབྱུང་བས་དེ་ལྟར་བཤད་པའི་ཕྱིར།
Connection to Four legs of magical emanation: Having thoroughly trained the mind by means of aspiration and so forth, the creators of clear realisation of truth (heat and peak) will arise.
དྲོད་རྩེ་མྱུར་དུ་རྫོགས་པ་དང༌། བཟོད་མཆོག་མྱུར་དུ་འཐོབ་པར་འགྱུར་བའི་དགོས་པ་ཡོད་པའི་ཕྱིར།
Purposes:
- To quickly complete heat and peak
- To quickly attain forbearance and supreme dharma
