Four fearlessnesses

རང་གི་བདག་རྐྱེན་དུ་གྱུར་པའི་རབ་མཐའི་བསམ་གཏན་ལ་བརྟེན་ནས་དམ་པའི་ཆོས་སྟོན་པ་ལ་འཁོར་གྱི་ནང་དུ་བག་ཚ་བ་མེད་པས་རབ་ཏུ་ཕྱེ་བའི་མཐར་ཐུག་གི་མཁྱེན་པ།
མི་འཇིགས་པའི་མཚན་ཉིད།
Definition: A final exalted knower distinguished by lacking anxiety inside of samsara wrt teaching the holy dharma in dependence upon the final concentration that is its empowering condition.

Divisions:

1. Fearlessness in asserting the excellent realisation (one's own welfare): due to lacking any factually concordant opponents to asserting "I am enlightened." in the midst of the retinue.
   འཁོར་གྱི་དབུས་སུ་ང་ནི་སངས་རྒྱས་སོ་ཞེས་ཁས་བླངས་པ་ལ་ཆོས་མཐུན་གྱི་རྒོལ་བ་མེད་པས་རང་དོན་རྟོགས་པ་ཕུན་ཚོགས་དམ་བཅས་པ་ལ་མི་འཇིགས་པ།
2. Fearlessness in asserting the excellent abandonment (one's own welfare): due to lacking that wrt asserting one's exhaustion of contamination, i.e. abandonment of all obscurations without exception.
   བདག་ཉིད་ཀྱི་ཟག་པ་ཟད་པ་སྟེ་སྒྲིབ་པ་མ་ལུས་པར་སྤངས་པར་ཁས་བླངས་པ་ལ་དེ་མེད་པས་རང་དོན་སྤངས་པ་ཕུན་ཚོགས་སུ་དམ་བཅས་པ་ལ་མི་འཇིགས་པ།
3. Fearlessness wrt hindering phenomena (others' welfare): due to lacking that wrt indicating obscurations such as attachment and so forth as acting to hinder the three vehicles.
   འདོད་ཆགས་ལ་སོགས་པའི་སྒྲིབ་པ་འདི་དག་ཐེག་པ་གསུམ་གྱི་བར་ཆད་བྱེད་པར་བརྗོད་པ་ལ་དེ་མེད་པས་གཞན་དོན་བར་དུ་གཅོད་པའི་ཆོས་ལ་མི་འཇིགས་པ།
4. Fearlessness wrt indicating the path of definite emergence (others' welfare): due to lacking that wrt indicating definite emergence from samsara and the Hinayana through the knower of bases and paths.
   ཐམས་ཅད་ཤེས་པ་ཉིད་དང་ལམ་ཤེས་ཀྱི་ལམ་གྱིས་འཁོར་བ་དང༌།
   ཐེག་དམན་ལས་ངེས་པར་འབྱུང་བ་ཉིད་དུ་བསྟན་པ་ལ་དེ་མེད་པས་གཞན་དོན་ངེས་པར་འབྱུང་བའི་ལམ་བསྟན་པ་ལ་མི་འཇིགས་པ།

སེང་གེ་དང་ཆོས་མཚུངས་པའི་དོན་གྱིས་མི་འཇིགས་པ་ཞེས་བྱ།
Etymology: due to being similar to a lion.
