Freedom from manifest pride

དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པའི་རང་བཞིན་གྱི་འོད་ཀྱིས་འདོད་གཟུགས་ཀྱི་ལྷ་རྣམས་ཀྱི་འོད་མོག་མོག་པོར་མཛད་པ་ཆོས་ཅན། དགོས་པ་ཡོད་དེ།
དེ་རྣམས་ཐེག་ཆེན་སེམས་བསྐྱེད་དང་ལམ་ཤེས་བརྒྱུད་ནས་སྐྱེ་བའི་སྣོད་རུང་དུ་བསྒྲུབ་པར་བྱ་བའི་ཆེད་ཡིན་པའི་ཕྱིར།
The subject - the tathagatas outshining the [fruitional] light of the Desire and Form realm gods with their natural light - there is a purpose because it is in order for them to become suitable vessels for [directly] giving rise to Mahayana mind generation and indirectly to a knower of paths.

ལམ་ཤེས་སྐྱེ་བའི་རྟེན་དེ་ལ་བགེགས་ང་རྒྱལ་མངོན་གྱུར་པ་དང་བྲལ་བ་གཅིག་དགོས་ཏེ། དེ་དང་མ་བྲལ་བར་ལམ་ཤེས་སྐྱེ་མི་རུང་བའི་ཕྱིར།
The support for giving rise to a knower of paths is necessarily one free from manifest pride (the obstacle) because without being free from that, a knower of paths is not suitable to arise.
