Instantaneous application
མཁྱེན་གསུམ་གྱི་རྣམ་པ་ལ་བརྟན་པ་ཐོབ་པའི་སེམས་དཔའི་རྣལ་འབྱོར་མཐར་ཐུག་དེ། སྐད་ཅིག་སྦྱོར་གྱི་མཚན་ཉིད།
Definition: A final Bodhisattva yoga that has attained stability wrt the aspects of the three exalted knowers.
སྐད་ཅིག་སྦྱོར་མཚོན་བྱེད་ཀྱི་ཆོས་ལ་བཞིར་ཡོད་དེ། མཚན་ཉིད་ཀྱིས་ཏེ་ལྡོག་པས་ཕྱེ་བ་བཞིར་ཡོད་པའི་ཕྱིར།
Divisions by way of characteristics (isolates): (4)
- Actualising qualities ཡོན་ཏན་མངོན་དུ་བྱེད་པའི་སྐད་ཅིག་མ་དང་།
- Unripened instantaneous application རྣམ་པར་སྨིན་པ་མ་ཡིན་པའི་སྐད་ཅིག་སྦྱོར།
- Ripened instantaneous application རྣམ་པར་སྨིན་པའི་སྐད་ཅིག་སྦྱོར།
- In terms of the mode of realising the nature of objects ཡུལ་གྱི་རང་བཞིན་རྟོགས་ཚུལ་གྱི་དབང་དུ་བྱས་པའི་སྐད་ཅིག་སྦྱོར།
- Instantaneous application of non-character མཚན་ཉིད་མེད་པའི་སྐད་ཅིག་སྦྱོར།
- Instantaneous application of non-duality གཉིས་སུ་མེད་པའི་སྐད་ཅིག་སྦྱོར།
སྐད་ཅིག་སྦྱོར་འདི་བཞི་ལྡོག་པ་ཐ་དད་པ་ཙམ་ཡིན་པས། ཡུལ་ཅན་རྣམ་པར་སྨིན་པ་ཡིན་མིན་མི་རུང་བས་ཡུལ་ལ་བྱ་ཞིང།
Since these four instantaneous applications are merely different isolates, it is not suitable for the object-possessors to be ripened or unripened; therefore, [ripened and unripened] refers to the object.
དེ་ཡང་གཅིག་གི་ཡུལ་གཉིས་ཀའི་ཡུལ་ཡིན་པས་མདོ་བསྟན་བཅོས་ནས་བསྟན་ཚོད་ཀྱི་ཡུལ་ལ་རྣམ་པར་སྨིན་པ་དང་། རྣམ་པར་སྨིན་པ་མ་ཡིན་པ་གཉིས་སུ་དབྱེ་སྟེ།
དང་པོའི་ཡུལ་ནི་རང་གི་རྒྱུད་ལ་ནུས་པ་མཐར་ཐུག་པ་མ་སྨིན་པ་དང་ཕྱི་མའི་ཡུལ་ནི་རང་གི་རྒྱུད་ལ་དེ་ལྟར་སྐྱེས་པའི་གནས་སྐབས་ཀྱི་དབང་དུ་བྱས་ནས་བཞག་པའི་ཕྱིར།
Moreover, since what is the object of one is the object of both, the measure for the sutra and treatise to divide the objects into ripened and unripened is posited in terms of:
- the object of the first: the unripened final potency in one's continuum
- the object of the latter: having given rise to that in one's continuum
ཞེས་ལེགས་པར་བཤད་པ་གསེར་གྱི་ཕྲེང་བ་ལས་བཤད་པའི་ཕྱིར།
