Knower-characteristics of applications of an Exalted Knower of All Aspects
དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པ་ཉིད་ཀྱི་མཐོང་ཆོས་ལ་བདེ་བར་གནས་པ་སོགས་རྣམ་མཁྱེན་གྱི་རྣམ་པ་གང་རུང་ལ་དམིགས་པའི་སེམས་དཔའི་རྣལ་འབྱོར།
རྣམ་མཁྱེན་གྱི་སྦྱོར་བའི་བྱེ་བྲག་གི་མཚན་ཉིད།
Individual characteristics: A Bodhisattva yoga observing any aspect of an exalted knower of all aspects, such as the Tathagata's happily abiding the the present life and so forth.
These sixteen knower-characteristics characterise the seven Applications of an Exalted Knower of All Aspects (from among the sixteen applications of the path perfection of wisdom).
Sixteen knower-characteristics:
- Knowing the Tathagata's happily abiding the the present life
དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པ་ཉིད་ཀྱི་མཐོང་ཆོས་ལ་བདེ་བར་གནས་པ་ཤེས་པ། - Knowing the Mother is to be respected when taught, through placing one's own seat and so forth
ཡུམ་སྟོན་པ་ན་ཉིད་ཀྱི་ཁྲི་བཤམས་པ་སོགས་མཛད་ནས་གུས་པར་བྱ་བ་ཤེས་པ། - Knowing the [Mother's] words are to be accomplished, taking it as one's lama
བཀའ་བསྒྲུབ་པར་བྱ་བ་ཉིད་དུ་བཀུར་བས་བླ་མར་བྱ་བར་ཤེས་པ། - Knowing to please it by means of expressing its qualities and so forth
ཡོན་ཏན་བརྗོད་པ་སོགས་ཀྱིས་མཉེས་པར་བྱ་བར་ཤེས་པ། - Knowing to make offerings such as scattering precious flowers and so forth
རིན་པོ་ཆེའི་མེ་ཏོག་གཏོར་བ་སོགས་མཆོད་པར་བྱ་བར་ཤེས་པ། - Knowing the agent of respecting and so forth is non-existent due to being empty of production, disintegration, and own-nature in thusness
དེ་ཁོ་ནར་སྐྱེ་འཇིག་དང་རང་གི་ངོ་བོ་སྟོང་པས་གུས་པར་བྱ་བ་སོགས་དེ་ལྟར་བྱེད་པ་མེད་པ་ཉིད་ཤེས་པ། - Knowing unobstructed going or entering into all objects ཡུལ་ཐམས་ཅད་དུ་ཐོགས་མེད་དུ་འགྲོ་བའམ་འཇུག་པ་ཤེས་པ།
- Knowing the teaching that the non-perception of the suchness of objects such as forms etc. is to conventionally perceive their suchness
གཟུགས་སོགས་ཀྱི་དོན་དེ་ཁོ་ནར་མ་མཐོང་བ་ཉིད་ཐ་སྙད་དུ་དེ་ཁོ་ན་མཐོང་བར་སྟོན་པར་མཛད་པ་ཤེས་པ། - Knowing the aggregates and so forth of the world in the aspect of emptiness
ཕུང་སོགས་ཀྱི་འཇིག་རྟེན་སྟོང་པ་ཉིད་ཀྱི་རྣམ་པ་ཅན་དུ་ཤེས་པ། - Knowing to explain the world as empty of self-entity to disciples in the retinue
གདུལ་བྱ་འཁོར་དུ་བསྡུས་པ་ལ་འཇིག་རྟེན་རང་གི་དངོས་པོ་སྟོང་པ་ཉིད་དུ་བརྗོད་པ་ཤེས་པ། - Knowing to facilitate the knowing of the emptiness of the world for disciples whose continuum is ripened
རྒྱུད་སྨིན་པའི་གདུལ་བྱ་ལ་འཇིག་རྟེན་སྟོང་པ་ཉིད་དུ་ཤེས་པར་མཛད་པ་ཤེས་པ། - Knowing to facilitate the direct perception of the emptiness of the world for disciples who are thoroughly liberated རྣམ་པར་གྲོལ་བའི་གདུལ་བྱ་ལ་འཇིག་རྟེན་སྟོང་པ་ཉིད་དུ་མངོན་སུམ་གྱི་མཐོང་བར་མཛད་པ་ཤེས་པ།
- Knowing to indicate the suchness of the five aggregates to be inconceivable
ཕུང་པོ་ལྔའི་དེ་ཁོ་ན་ཉིད་བསམ་གྱིས་མི་ཁྱབ་པ་ཉིད་དུ་སྟོན་པར་ཤེས་པ། - Knowing to indicate the dharmata of the five aggregates to be pacified of all elaborations
ཕུང་པོ་ལྔའི་ཆོས་ཉིད་སྤྲོས་པ་ཐམས་ཅད་ཞི་བ་ཉིད་དུ་སྟོན་པར་ཤེས་པ། - Knowing the cessation of the five aggregates of the contaminated world (the objects)
ཡུལ་འཇིག་རྟེན་ཟག་བཅས་ཀྱི་ཕུང་པོ་ལྔ་འགོག་པ་ཤེས་པ། - Knowing the cessation of discriminations of that to be adopted and discarded or of this world and that world wrt the five aggregates (the object-possessors)
ཡུལ་ཅན་ཕུང་པོ་ལྔ་ལ་བླང་དོར་རམ་འཇིག་རྟེན་ཕ་རོལ་དང་ཚུ་རོལ་གྱི་འདུ་ཤེས་འགོག་པ་ཤེས་པ།
