Knower of bases of the discordant class
གཞི་ཤེས་གང་ཞིག ཐབས་ཤེས་ཁྱད་པར་ཅན་དང་བྲལ་ཞིང༌བདེན་འཛིན་གྱིས་བཅིངས་པ། མི་མཐུན་ཕྱོགས་ཀྱི་གཞི་ཤེས་ཀྱི་མཚན་ཉིད།
Definition: That which is:
- A knower of bases; and
- Devoid of special method and wisdom and bound by true-grasping.
སྟོང་ཉིད་མ་རྟོགས་པའི་ཉན་ཐོས་མཐོང་ལམ་པའི་རྒྱུད་ཀྱི་གང་ཟག་གི་བདག་མེད་མངོན་སུམ་དུ་རྟོགས་པའི་མཁྱེན་པ་ཆོས་ཅན།
Illustration: An exalted knower directly realising the selflessness of persons in the continuum of a Hearer on the path of seeing who has not realised emptiness.
This and Knower of bases distant from the Resultant Mother are mutually inclusive.
Not an object of abandonment in general (discordant class) but in relation to the Bodhisattva's path.
The discordant class indicated in this context:
- Discrimination of signs as empty (modes): relating to the aggregates from forms and up to omniscience as well as generosity and up to omniscience
གཟུགས་ནས་རྣམ་མཁྱེན་གྱི་བར་གྱི་ཕུང་པོ་རྣམས་དང༌། སྦྱིན་པ་ནས་རྣམ་མཁྱེན་གྱི་བར་ལ་སྟོང་ཞེས་མཚན་མར་འདུ་ཤེས་པ་དང༌། - Discrimination of signs as those (varieties): relating to phenomena included in the three times
དུས་གསུམ་དུ་གཏོགས་པའི་ཆོས་རྣམས་ལ་དེ་དག་ཏུ་མཚན་མར་འདུ་ཤེས་པ་དང༌། - Discrimination of signs as practices (paths): in relation to the six perfections as well as the thirty-seven harmonies and up to omniscience
སྦྱིན་སོགས་དྲུག་དང་བྱང་ཕྱོགས་སོ་བདུན་ནས། རྣམ་མཁྱེན་གྱི་བར་རྣམས་ལ་སྤྱོད་པ་སྟེ་ལམ་དུ་མཚན་མར་འདུ་ཤེས་པ།
