Mahayana Instructions

ཐེག་ཆེན་སེམས་བསྐྱེད་ཀྱི་ཆེད་དུ་གཉེར་བྱའི་ཐབས་སྟོན་པའི་ཐེག་ཆེན་གྱི་ངག་དེ། ཐེག་ཆེན་གྱི་གདམས་ངག་གི་མཚན་ཉིད།
Definition: Mahayana speech that indicates the method for [attaining] that which Mahayana mind generation is striving for.

Divisions by way of entity:

1. Instructional Mahayana instructions གདམས་པའི་ཐེག་ཆེན་གྱི་གདམས་ངག
   Def: Mahayana instructions given in order to increase qualities already attained
   ཐོབ་ཟིན་གྱི་ཡོན་ཏན་འཕེལ་ཕྱིར་དུ་གདམས་པའི་ཐེག་ཆེན་གྱི་གདམས་ངག
2. Subsequent Mahayana instructions རྗེས་བསྟན་ཀྱི་ཐེག་ཆེན་གྱི་གདམས་ངག
   Def: Mahayana instructions given in order to newly attain qualities not attained previously
   སྔར་མ་ཐོབ་པའི་ཡོན་ཏན་གསར་དུ་ཐོབ་ཕྱིར་དུ་འདོམས་པའི་ཐེག་ཆེན་གྱི་གདམས་ངག

   1. Instructions on abandoning the practices’ discordant class (Three Types of Joyous Effort)
