Mara of Devaputra
བདུད་བཞིའི་ནང་ཚན་གང་ཞིག བདུད་གཞན་གསུམ་ལས་འདའ་བ་ལ་བར་དུ་གཅོད་ཅིང༌། འདོད་ལྷའི་རིགས་སུ་གཏོགས་པ། ལྷའི་བུའི་བདུད་ཀྱི་མཚན་ཉིད།
Definition of Mara of Devaputra: That which is:
- A subdivision of the Four Maras; and
- Included in the class of Desire Realm gods and hinders passing beyond the other three Maras.
དཔེར་ན། གཞན་འཕྲུལ་དབང་བྱེད་ཀྱི་བདག་པོ་དགའ་རབ་དབང་ཕྱུག་ལྟ་བུ།

འདིས་བར་དུ་གཅོད་པའི་ཚུལ་ཡོད་དེ། གདུལ་བྱ་ཐར་པ་དང་ཐམས་ཅད་མཁྱེན་པ་སྒྲུབ་པ་ལ་ཞུགས་པ་ལ་མངོན་ཤེས་ཀྱིས་བལྟས་ཏེ། ཉོན་མོངས་པ་འདོད་ཆགས་ཞེ་སྡང་གཏི་མུག་ང་རྒྱལ་ཕྲག་དོག་གི་མདའ་ལྔ་སོ་སོར་འཕེན་པའི་ཕྱིར། དེས་ན་འདི་ལ་མེ་ཏོག་མདའ་ཅན་དང༌། མེ་ཏོག་གཞུ་ཅན་དང༌། མདའ་ལྔ་པ་སོགས་ཀྱི་མིང་བཏགས་སོ།
Mode of hindering: Seeing with clairvoyance disciples who are approaching the accomplishment of liberation and omniscience, they shoot the five arrows of the afflictions of attachment, anger, ignorance, pride, and jealousy.
The five flower-arrows of God of Desire: (བདུད་དགའ་རབ་དབང་ཕྱུག་གི་མེ་ཏོག་གི་མདའ་ལྔ།)
- Arrow causing arrogance དྲེགས་པར་བྱེད་པའི་མདའ།
- Arrow causing obscuration རྨོངས་པར་བྱེད་པའི་མདའ།
- Arrow causing complete obscuration ཀུན་ཏུ་རྨོངས་པར་བྱེད་པའི་མདའ།
- Arrow causing fainting བརྒྱལ་བར་བྱེད་པའི་མདའ།
- Arrow causing unconsciousness སེམས་མེད་པར་བྱེད་པའི་མདའ།
