རང་གི་བདག་རྐྱེན་དུ་གྱུར་པའི་བསམ་གཏན་གྱི་དངོས་གཞི་ལ་བརྟེན་ནས་དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པ་རྣམས་སྐྱེས་བུ་དམ་པར་མཚོན་པར་བྱེད་པའི་རྣམ་དཀར་གྱི་ཡོན་ཏན། སངས་རྒྱས་ཀྱི་མཚན་བཟང་གི་ཡོན་ཏན་གྱི་མཚན་ཉིད།
Definition of a Buddha's Excellent Mark: A completely white quality that illustrates Tathagatas as holy beings in dependence upon the mind of an actual concentration that is its empowering condition.

Divisions of Marks: (32) དབྱེ་ན་སོ་གཉིས་སུ་ཡོད་དེ།

1. Wheels on the hands and feet ཕྱག་ཞབས་ཀྱི་འཁོར་ལོའི་མཚན་དང་།
2. Palms of feet are even like the belly of a tortoise རུས་སྦལ་གྱི་ལྟོ་བཞིན་ཞབས་མཐིལ་མཉམ་པ་དང་།
3. The digits of the hands and feet are webbed like those of swans ཕྱག་ཞབས་ཀྱི་སོར་མོ་རྣམས་ངང་པ་ལྟར་དུ་བར་འབྲེལ་བ་དང་།
4. Hands and feet are soft and youthful ཕྱག་ཞབས་རྣམས་འཇམ་ཞིང་གཞོན་ཤ་ཆགས་པ་དང་།
5. Seven places are muscly and raised: the backs of the hands and feet
   ཕྱག་ཞབས་ཀྱི་རྒྱབ་བཞི་དང་ཕྲག་པའི་ཐལ་གོང་གཉིས་དང་ལྟག་པའི་རྒྱབ་སྟེ། བདུན་ཤས་ཁེངས་ཏེ་མཐོ་བ་དང་།
6. Long digits སོར་མོ་རྣམས་རིང་བ་དང་།
7. Broad soles extending an extra quarter of the length of the foot ཞབས་མཐིལ་གྱི་བཞི་ཆ་ཕྱིར་འཕགས་པའི་རྟིང་པ་ཡངས་པ་དང་།
8. Large and upright body སྐུ་ཆེ་ཞིང་དྲང་བ་དང་།
9. Knees and ankles not visible ཞབས་ཀྱི་ལྷ་ང་དང་ལོང་བུ་ཆེར་མི་མངོན་པ་དང་།
10. Body-hair point upwards individually སྐུའི་སྤུ་རྣམས་རེ་རེ་ནས་གྱེན་དུ་ཕྱོགས་པ་སྟེ་བཅུ་དང་།
11. Round and broad calves like an antelope ཞབས་ཀྱི་བྱིན་པ་ཟླུམ་ཞིང་རྒྱས་པར་རི་དྭགས་ཨེ་ན་ཡའི་འདྲ་བ་དང་།
12. Arms long and beautiful ཕྱག་རིང་ཞིང་མཛེས་པ་དང་།
13. Contracted male organ འདོམས་ཀྱི་སྦ་བ་སྦུབས་སུ་ནུབ་པ་དང་།
14. Golden skin, pure and radiant ལྤགས་པའི་མདོག་གསེར་ལྟར་དག་ཅིང་གསལ་བ་དང་།
15. Skin smooth and soft ལྤགས་པ་སྲབ་ཅིང་འཇམ་པ་དང་།
16. A single body hair from each pore, curling clockwise
    བ་སྤུའི་ཁུང་བུ་རེ་རེ་ནས་སྤུ་གཉིས་གཉིས་མེད་པར་རེ་རེ་གཡས་སུ་འཁྱིལ་པ་དང་།
17. Adorned with treasure-hair between the eyebrows སྨིན་མཚམས་སུ་མཛོད་སྤུས་བརྒྱན་པ་དང་།
18. Upper body broad like a lion རོ་སྟོད་སེང་གེ་ལྟར་རྒྱས་པ་དང་།
19. Shoulders rounded like the neck of a vase དཔུང་མགོ་བུམ་པའི་མགྲིན་པ་ལྟར་ཟླུམ་པ་དང་།
20. Broad shoulder blades between the shoulders དཔུང་མགོ་ཕན་ཚུན་གྱི་བར་ཐལ་གོང་རྒྱས་པ་སྟེ་བཅུ་དང་།
21. Tastes appearing and known as supreme རོ་མཆོག་ཏུ་སྣང་ཞིང་མཁྱེན་པ་དང་།
22. Upper and lower body are equally proportioned like a Nyagrota (banyan tree)
    སྐུའི་ཡན་མན་དང་འདོམ་མཉམ་པ་ནྱ་གྲོ་ཏ་ལྟར་ཆུ་ཞེང་གབ་པ་དང་།
23. Head possessing a crown protrusion (ushnisha) དབུ་གཙུག་ཏོར་དང་ལྡན་པ་དང་།
24. Tongue long and beautiful ལྗགས་རིང་ཞིང་མཛེས་པ་དང་།
25. Melodious speech of Brahma endowed with five branches: ཡན་ལག་ལྔ་ལྡན་གྱི་ཚངས་དབྱངས་དང་ལྡན་པ།
    1. Being known and thoroughly known གསུང་ཤེས་ཤིང་རྣམ་པར་ཤེས་པར་འགྱུར་པ་དང་།
    2. Worthy of listening to and without discrepancies མཉན་པར་འོས་ཤིང་མི་མཐུན་པ་མེད་པ་དང་།
    3. Deep and resounding ཟབ་ཅིང་རྗེས་སུ་སྒྲོག་པ་དང་།
    4. Not piercing but pleasant to the ear བཏང་མི་བྲ་ཞིང་རྣར་སྙན་པ་དང་།
    5. Unconfused and clear མ་འཁྲུགས་ཤིང་གསལ་བ།
26. Jaw is round and broad, like a lion འགྲམ་པ་ཟླུམ་ཞིང་རྒྱས་པ་སེང་གེའི་འདྲ་བ་དང་།
27. Very white teeth ཚེམས་ཤིན་ཏུ་དཀར་བ་དང་།
28. Even teeth ཚེམས་ཚད་མཉམ་པ་དང་།
29. Teeth equally spaced without gaps བར་མཚམས་མ་དོད་པའི་ཚེམས་ཐགས་བཟང་བ་དང་།
30. Complete with forty teeth ཚེམས་བཞི་བཅུ་ཚང་བ་དང་།
31. Eyes where the white and black parts are not mixed etc., like a dark blue sapphire
    དཀར་ནག་གི་ཆ་མ་འདྲེས་པ་སོགས་ཀྱི་སྤྱན་ནོར་བུ་མཐོན་མཐིང་དང་འདྲ་བ་དང་།
32. Eyelashes properly separated and unmixed
    སྟེང་འོག་གི་རྫི་མ་རྣམས་ལེགས་པར་གཞོལ་ཞིང་མ་འདྲེས་པ་བའི་རྫི་མ་ལྟ་བུ་དང་བཅུ་གཉིས་ཏེ་སོ་གཉིས་སུ་ཡོད་པའི་ཕྱིར་རོ།
