One entity, different isolates

འདིར་ངོ་བོ་གཅིག་ལ་ལྡོག་པ་ཐ་དད་པ་བྱས་པ་མི་རྟག་པ་ལྟ་བུར་གནས་ཏེ། བདེན་པར་མེད་པ་དང་། ཀུན་རྫོབ་ཏུ་ཡོད་པ་གཉིས་ངོ་བོ་གཅིག་ལ་ལྡོག་པ་ཐ་དད་ཡིན་པའི་ཕྱིར་ཏེ། ཀུན་རྫོབ་ཏུ་ཡོད་པ་ལས་ཀྱང་བདེན་སྟོང་ངོ་བོ་གཞན་མ་ཡིན། བདེན་སྟོང་ལས་ཀྱང་ཀུན་རྫོབ་ཏུ་ཡོད་པ་ངོ་བོ་གཞན་མ་ཡིན་པའི་ཕྱིར་ཏེ།
བདེན་སྟོང་དུ་ཡོད་པ་དེ་ཉིད་ཀུན་རྫོབ་ཏུ་ཡོད་པ་དང་ངོ་བོ་གཅིག །ཀུན་རྫོབ་ཏུ་ཡོད་པ་དེ་ཉིད་བདེན་སྟོང་དང་ངོ་བོ་གཅིག་ཡིན་པའི་ཕྱིར།
In this context, [the two truths] are one entity but different isolates; similar to product and impermanent; because

• the two – not existing truly and existing conventionally – are one entity but different isolates; because
• being empty of true existence is not a different entity from that which is existing conventionally and existing conventionally is not a different entity from that which is empty of true existence; because
• that very [thing that is] empty of true existence is of one entity with that which exists conventionally and that very [thing] which exists conventionally is of one entity with that which is empty of true existence.

ཤེས་རབ་སྙིང་པོ་ལས། གཟུགས་སྟོང་པའོ། །སྟོང་པ་ཉིད་གཟུགས་སོ། །གཟུགས་ལས་སྟོང་པ་ཉིད་གཞན་མ་ཡིན། སྟོང་པ་ཉིད་ལས་ཀྱང་གཟུགས་གཞན་མ་ཡིན་ནོ།
Heart Sutra says: Form is emptiness; emptiness is form. Form is not other than emptiness; likewise emptiness is not other than form.

བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་འགྲེལ་ལས། ཀུན་རྫོབ་ལས་ནི་ཐ་དད་པར། དེ་ཉིད་དམིགས་པ་མ་ཡིན་ཏེ།
ཀུན་རྫོབ་སྟོང་པ་ཉིད་དུ་བཤད། སྟོང་ཉིད་ཁོ་ན་ཀུན་རྫོབ་སྟེ། མེད་ན་མི་འབྱུང་ངེས་པའི་ཕྱིར། བྱས་དང་མི་རྟག་པ་བཞིན་ནོ།
Nāgārjuna’s Commentary on the Mind of Enlightenment says:
Thusness is not observed
As different from the conventional;
The conventional is explained as emptiness
Because emptiness alone, without the conventional,
Will certainly not arise;
Just like product and impermanent.

དགོངས་འགྲེལ་ལས།
འདུ་བྱེད་ཁམས་དང་དོན་དམ་མཚན་ཉིད་རྣམས། གཅིག་དང་ཐ་དད་བྲལ་བའི་མཚན་ཉིད་དེ།
གཅིག་དང་ཐ་དད་དུ་ནི་གང་རྟོག་པ། དེ་དག་ཚུལ་མིན་ལྟ་ལ་ཞུགས་པ་ཡིན།
Sutra Unravelling the Thought says:
The realm of compositional things and ultimate characteristics
Are characteristics free from one and different:
Conceiving them as one and different
Is engaging in an improper view of them.
