Partial concordance with liberation supported upon the continuum

རྣམ་མཁྱེན་རང་རྒྱུད་ལ་སྒྲུབ་པ་ལ་མཁས་པའི་སེམས་དཔའི་ཆོས་མངོན་རྟོགས། སྐབས་འདིར་དངོས་སུ་བསྟན་པའི་ཐར་པ་ཆ་མཐུན་གྱི་མཚན་ཉིད།
Definition of that explicitly indicated in this context: A Bodhisattva's clear realisation of dharma that is skilled in accomplishing the exalted knower of all aspects in one's continuum.

In this context:

• In the continuum of a sharp faculty bodhisattva (intended disciple of Ornament)
• Who has realised emptiness - i.e. excludes bodhisattvas on the path of accumulation that have not, e.g. holding Cittamatra tenets etc.

འདི་ལ་ཐོས་བསམ་གཙོ་ཆེ་ཡང་སྒོམ་བྱུང་ཡང་ཡོད།
This is mainly that arisen from listening and contemplation; but that arising from meditation exists.

དབྱེ་ན་ཆུང་འབྲིང་ཆེན་པོ་གསུམ་དུ་ཡོད།
Divisions: small, middling and great.

སྤྱིར་ཐར་པ་དོན་གཉེར་གྱི་བློ་བཅོས་མ་མ་ཡིན་པ་ནམ་སྐྱེས་པ་ན་ཐར་པ་ཆ་མཐུན་ཐོབ་པར་འཇོག་ལ། ཐེག་ཆེན་གྱི་ཐར་པ་ཆ་མཐུན་ཐོབ་པའི་རྟགས་ནི། མཛོད་འགྲེལ་ལས།
གང་ལ་འཁོར་བའི་ཉེས་དམིགས་དང་བདག་མེད་པ་དང་མྱ་ངན་ལས་འདས་པའི་ཡོན་ཏན་བརྗོད་པའི་གཏམ་ཐོས་ནས་སྤུ་ཟིང་ཞེས་བྱེད་པ་དང༌།
མཆི་མ་འཁྲུགས་ཞེས་བྱེད་པ་དེ་ལ་ནི། ཐར་པའི་ཆ་དང་མཐུན་པའི་དགེ་བའི་རྩ་བ་ཡོད་པར་ཤེས་པར་བྱ་སྟེ། དབྱར་མྱུ་གུ་སྐྱེས་པ་ལས་གཡུལ་གྱི་གསེབ་ན་
ས་བོན་ཡོད་པར་ཤེས་པ་བཞིན་ནོ། །ཞེས་གསུངས་པ་ལྟར་རོ།
In general, whenever an uncontrived mind striving for liberation arises, that is posited as having attained a partial concordance with liberation; the signs of having attained a Mahayana partial concordance with liberation is in accordance with the Abhidharmakosha autocommentary:
Upon hearing about the faults of samsara, selflessness, or the benefits of nirvana, one's hairs stand on end and has tears flowing, they should be known as having the roots of virtue that are a partial concordance with liberation; just like in summer, knowing the existence of seeds in the middle of the battlefield from the sprouts that arise.

ཐེག་ཆེན་གྱི་ཚོགས་ལམ་དེ་འགྲོ་བ་རིགས་དྲུག་གི་རྟེན་ལ་གསར་དུ་སྐྱེ་བ་ཡོད་ལ།
ཐེག་དམན་གྱི་ཚོགས་ལམ་ནི་གླིང་གསུམ་གྱི་སྐྱེས་པ་དང་བུད་མེད་ཁོ་ནའི་རྟེན་ལ་གསར་དུ་སྐྱེ་བ་བྱེ་བྲག་སྨྲ་བ་བཞེད།
Physical support:

• Mahayana: newly arises on the support of the six types of migrators
• Hinayana: Vaibhashika assert newly arising only on the supports of men and women of the three continents

བསམ་གཏན་གྱི་དངོས་གཞི་ཐོབ་པ་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་བསམ་གཏན་གྱི་དངོས་གཞི་དང༌། དེ་མ་ཐོབ་པ་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་བསམ་གཏན་གྱི་ཉེར་བསྡོགས་དང༌།
དེ་ལ་མ་བརྟེན་ན་འདོད་སེམས་ལ་བརྟེན་ནས་བསྐྱེད་པ་ཡིན་ནོ།
Mental support:

• Those who have attained an actual concentration, that
• Those who have not attained that, a preparation for a concentration
• Those who do not rely on those will generate it in dependence upon a mind of the Desire Realm

ཐེག་ཆེན་གྱི་ཚོགས་ལམ་ཁྱད་པར་ཅན་ནི་འོག་ནས་འཆད་པའི་ཟག་མེད་ཀྱི་ཡེ་ཤེས་སྡེ་ཚན་ཉེར་གཅིག་གིས་བསྡུས་པའི་མངོན་པར་རྟོགས་པའི་རིགས་མཐའ་དག་ལ་
ཐོས་བསམ་གྱིས་སྒྲོ་འདོགས་བཅད་ནས་དེའི་རྗེས་སུ་དེ་ཉམས་སུ་བླངས་པས་མངོན་པར་རྟོགས་པ་ཀུན་ལ་མྱོང་བ་ཁྱད་པར་ཅན་སྐྱེས་པ་ན། ཐེག་ཆེན་གྱི་ཚོགས་ལམ་
ཁྱད་པར་ཅན་དང་། གྲངས་མེད་གསུམ་ནས་འཚང་རྒྱ་བའི་ལམ་གྱི་ཐོག་མར་གྱུར་པའི་ཐེག་ཆེན་གྱི་ཐར་པ་ཆ་མཐུན་དང༌། སྐབས་འདིར་དངོས་སུ་བསྟན་པའི་ཐེག་ཆེན་གྱི་ཐར་པ་ཆ་མཐུན་རྣམས་ཐོབ་པར་འཇོག་པ་ཡིན་ནོ། །དེར་མ་ཟད་ཟབ་དོན་ལ་མི་སྐྲག་པ་དང༌། མི་དངངས་པ་དང༌། སྐྲག་པར་མི་འགྱུར་བ་སོགས་ཀྱང་ཐེག་ཆེན་གྱི་
ཚོགས་ལམ་ཁྱད་པར་ཅན་ཐོབ་པའི་རྟགས་སུ་ཉི་སྣང་ལས་བཤད།
The special Mahayana path of accumulation:
Having eliminated superimpositions by means of listening and contemplation wrt all classes of clear realisation included within the twenty one sets of uncontaminated exalted wisdom explained below, then a special experience wrt all clear realisations arises due to practicing those. At that time, it is posited that one has attained:

• the special Mahayana path of accumulation
• the Mahayana partial concordance with liberation that is the initial path for becoming enlightened after three countless eons
• the Mahayana partial concordance with liberation explicitly indicated in this context.

Moreover, Illumination of the Twenty-Thousand explains the signs of having attained the special Mahayana path of accumulation as: not having fear and so forth wrt the profound meaning.

རང་རང་གི་བྱང་ཆུབ་ཐོབ་པའི་ཕྱིར་དུ་ཚོགས་གསོག་པའི་ལམ་གྱི་ཐོག་མ་ཡིན་པས་ན་ཚོགས་ལམ་དང༌།
ཐར་པ་ཐོབ་པ་དང་རྗེས་སུ་མཐུན་པའི་ལམ་ཡིན་པས་ཐར་པ་ཆ་མཐུན་ཞེས་བྱ།
Etymology:

• "Path of accumulation": due to being the initial path for accumulating the collections in order for one to attain their enlightenment.
• "Partial concordance with liberation" due to being a path that is concordant with the attainment of liberation.

བྱང་སེམས་ཚོགས་ལམ་པ་དབང་རྣོན་ཆོས་ཅན། དད་སོགས་ཡུལ་ལྔ་ཉམས་སུ་ལེན་པ་ལ་མཁས་པ་ཡིན་ཏེ། ་་་རྣམས་ཉམས་སུ་ལེན་པ་ལ་མཁས་པའི་ཕྱིར།
The subject - a sharp faculty Bodhisattva on the path of accumulation - they are skilled in the practice of the five objects of faith and so forth because of being skilled in the practice of:

1. Faith observing the holy dharma དམ་པའི་ཆོས་ལ་དམིགས་པའི་དད་པ།
2. Joyous effort practicing all virtuous dharma དགེ་བའི་ཆོས་མཐའ་དག་ཉམས་སུ་ལེན་པའི་བརྩོན་འགྲུས།
3. Mahayana mind generation: the excellent attitude བསམ་པ་ཕུན་ཚོགས་ཐེག་ཆེན་སེམས་བསྐྱེད།
4. Non-conceptual concentration རྣམ་པར་མི་རྟོག་པའི་ཏིང་ངེ་འཛིན།
5. Wisdom observing modes and varieties ཇི་ལྟ་བ་དང་ཇི་སྙེད་པ་ལ་དམིགས་པའི་ཤེས་རབ།

ཐེག་ཆེན་གྱི་ཐར་པ་ཆ་མཐུན་དེ་ལ་ངོ་བོའི་སྒོ་ནས་ལྔར་ཡོད་དེ། དད་སོགས་དབང་པོ་ལྔས་བསྡུས་པ་ལྔ་ཡོད་པའི་ཕྱིར། དེ་ཡང་ཡིན་ཏེ།
Five divisions of Mahayana partial concordance with liberation by way of entity:

• Skill in faith (the root of the path) in terms of the uncommon Mahayana refuge
  ཐེག་ཆེན་ཐུན་མོང་མ་ཡིན་པའི་སྐྱབས་འགྲོའི་དབང་དུ་བྱས་ནས་ལམ་གྱི་རྩ་བ་དད་པ་ལ་མཁས་པ་དང༌།
• Skill in joyous effort in terms of training in the practices in general
  སྤྱོད་པ་སྤྱི་ལ་སློབ་པའི་དབང་དུ་བྱས་ནས་བརྩོན་འགྲུས་ལ་མཁས་པ་དང༌།
• Skill in the excellent attitude in terms of generating the mind that is the support of the practices
  སྤྱོད་པའི་རྟེན་སེམས་བསྐྱེད་པའི་དབང་དུ་བྱས་ནས་བསམ་པ་ཕུན་སུམ་ཚོགས་པ་ལ་མཁས་པ་དང༌།
• Skill in concentration and wisdom in terms of training in the last two perfections
  ཕར་ཕྱིན་ཐ་མ་གཉིས་ལ་སློབ་པའི་དབང་དུ་བྱས་ནས་ཏིང་ངེ་འཛིན་དང་ཤེས་རབ་ལ་མཁས་པ།

རྒྱན་གྱི་ཆེད་དུ་བྱ་བའི་གདུལ་བྱ་ཆོས་ཅན། ཁྱོད་ལ་གཉིས་སུ་ཡོད་དེ། ཁྱོད་ལ་དབང་པོ་རྣོ་རྟུལ་གཉིས་སུ་ཡོད་པའི་ཕྱིར།
The subject - the intended disciple of the Ornament - there are two because there are those of sharp and dull faculties.

དེ་ཡིན་ན་བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་དཔའ་ཡིན་དགོས་པའི་ཕྱིར།
If it is that, they are necessarily a Bodhisattva.

རྒྱན་གྱི་ཆེད་དུ་བྱ་བའི་གདུལ་བྱར་གྱུར་པའི་བྱང་འཕགས་མེད་དེ། དེ་ཡིན་ན་ས་དང་པོ་མ་ཐོབ་དགོས་པའི་ཕྱིར།
There are no Arya Bodhisattvas that are the intended disciples of the Ornament because if it is that, it is necessarily one that has not attained the first ground.
