Peak application of heat

རྩེ་སྦྱོར་ཐོབ་པའི་རྟགས་བཅུ་གཉིས་པོ་གང་རུང་ཐོབ་པའི་ཐེག་ཆེན་གྱི་ངེས་འབྱེད་ཆ་མཐུན་དང་པོ་དེ། དྲོད་ཀྱི་རྩེ་སྦྱོར་གྱི་མཚན་ཉིད།
Definition: The first partial concordance with Mahayana definite discrimination that has attained any of the twelve signs of having attained peak application.

Twelve signs of having attained peak application: རྩེ་སྦྱོར་ཐོབ་པའི་རྟགས་དེ་ལ་བཅུ་གཉིས་སུ་ཡོད་དེ།

1. Viewing all phenomena as dream-like and so forth even in dreams
   རྨི་ལམ་ན་ཡང་ཆོས་ཐམས་ཅད་རྨི་ལམ་ལྟ་བུ་སོགས་སུ་ལྟ་བའི་རྟགས།
2. Not generating delight in wishing to attain the Hearer and Solitary Realiser grounds or the three realms
   ཉན་རང་གི་ས་དང་ཁམས་གསུམ་ལ་ཐོབ་པར་འདོད་པའི་དགའ་བ་མི་སྐྱེད་པའི་རྟགས།
3. Perceiving the Tathagatas and so forth དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པ་སོགས་མཐོང་བའི་རྟགས།
4. Observing the magical emanations of the Buddhas and so forth
   སངས་རྒྱས་ཀྱི་རྫུ་འཕྲུལ་གྱི་རྣམ་པར་འཕྲུལ་བ་སོགས་དམིགས་པའི་རྟགས།
5. Giving rise to the intention to teach dream-like dharma རྨི་ལམ་ལྟ་བུའི་ཆོས་སྟོན་པའི་སེམས་སྐྱེ་བའི་རྟགས།
6. Recollection of abandoning all lower realms in one's Buddha-field
   རང་གི་སངས་རྒྱས་ཀྱི་ཞིང་ན་ངན་སོང་སྤོང་བ་རྗེས་སུ་དྲན་པའི་རྟགས།
7. Accomplishing the blessings of truth that pacify fires in cities and so forth
   གྲོང་ཁྱེར་ལ་སོགས་པ་ཚིག་པ་རབ་ཏུ་ཞི་བར་བྱེད་པའི་བདེན་པའི་བྱིན་བརླབས་གྲུབ་པའི་རྟགས།
8. Accomplishing words of truth that eliminate non-humans, such as harmful spirits and so forth
   གནོད་སྦྱིན་སོགས་མི་མ་ཡིན་མེད་པར་བྱེད་པའི་བདེན་པའི་ཚིག་གྲུབ་པའི་རྟགས།
9. Relying upon virtuous friends who overcome others due to their manifest knowledge
   རང་གི་མངོན་པར་ཤེས་པས་ཕ་རོལ་གནོན་པའི་དགེ་བའི་བཤེས་གཉེན་བསྟེན་པའི་རྟགས།
10. Training in the perfection of wisdom in all aspects རྣམ་པ་ཐམས་ཅད་དུ་ཤེར་ཕྱིན་ལ་སློབ་པའི་རྟགས།
11. Without adherence to anything ཐམས་ཅད་ལ་མངོན་ཞེན་མེད་པའི་རྟགས།
12. Coming close to a Buddha's enlightenment སངས་རྒྱས་ཀྱི་བྱང་ཆུབ་ལ་ཉེ་བར་འགྱུར་བའི་རྟགས།

Sutra:

• 1 - 6: in dreams
• 7: both dream and waking
• Remaining: not mentioned

Buddhashri:

• 1 - 6: in dreams
• 7 + 8: both dream and waking
• 9 - 12: waking

འབྲས་རང་གི་རྟགས་ཅི་རིགས་པར་ཡོད་དོ། རྟགས་བཅུ་གཉིས་པོ་དེའི་དང་པོ་བརྒྱད་འབྲས་རྟགས་དང་ཐ་མ་བཞི་རང་བཞིན་གྱི་རྟགས་སུ་ལོ་ཆེན་བཞེད།
Can be either result signs or nature signs. (see Correct sign)

• First eight are result signs
• Remaining four are nature signs
