Practice of definite emergence

རྣམ་མཁྱེན་དུ་གདོན་མི་ཟ་བར་ངེས་པར་འབྱིན་པར་བྱེད་པའི་དག་སའི་རྣལ་འབྱོར། ངེས་འབྱུང་སྒྲུབ་པའི་མཚན་ཉིད།
Definition: A pure ground yoga that functions to undoubtedly definitely emerge to the exalted knower of all aspects.

Divisions:

1. To the objective (three greatnesses) ཆེད་དུ་བྱ་བ་ཆེན་པོ་གསུམ་དུ་ངེས་པར་འབྱུང་བའི་སྒྲུབ་པ།
2. To equality མཉམ་པ་ཉིད་དུ་ངེས་པར་འབྱུང་བའི་སྒྲུབ་པ།
3. To the welfare (object of attainment) of all sentient beings སེམས་ཅན་ཐམས་ཅད་ཀྱི་ཐོབ་བྱའི་དོན་དུ་ངེས་པར་འབྱུང་བའི་སྒྲུབ་པ།
4. To effortless spontaneous accomplishment འབད་པ་མེད་པར་ལྷུན་གྱིས་གྲུབ་པར་ངེས་པར་འབྱུང་བའི་སྒྲུབ་པ།
5. To passing beyond extremes མཐའ་ལས་འདས་པར་ངེས་པར་འབྱུང་བའི་སྒྲུབ་པ།
6. To the characteristics of the attainments ཐོབ་པའི་མཚན་ཉིད་དུ་ངེས་པར་འབྱུང་བའི་སྒྲུབ་པ།
7. To the exalted knower of all aspects རྣམ་མཁྱེན་དུ་ངེས་པར་འབྱུང་བའི་སྒྲུབ་པ།
8. In terms of the object-possessor path ལམ་ཡུལ་ཅན་དུ་བྱས་ནས་ངེས་པར་འབྱུང་བའི་སྒྲུབ་པ།

Reason for this order: བརྒྱད་པོ་འདིའི་གོ་རིམ་འདི་ལྟར་ངེས་པའི་རྒྱུ་མཚན་ཡོད་དེ།

1. Since it is principal, definite emergence to the objective is indicated first;
   གཙོ་བོ་ཡིན་པས་དང་པོར་ཆེད་དུ་བྱ་བ་ལ་ངེས་པར་འབྱུང་བ་བསྟན།
2. Since that is not possible without realisation of equality, that is after that;
   མཉམ་པ་ཉིད་རྟོགས་པ་མེད་པར་ཆེད་དུ་བྱ་བར་འབྱུང་མི་ནུས་པས་དེའི་རྗེས་སུ་ཆེད་དུ་བྱ་བ།
3. Since that is not possible without having accumulated merit by way of enacting the welfare of sentient beings, that is after that; སེམས་ཅན་གྱི་དོན་བྱ་བའི་སྒོ་ནས་བསོད་ནམས་མ་བསགས་པར་མཉམ་པ་ཉིད་དུ་རྟོགས་པའི་ངེས་པར་འབྱུང་མི་ནུས་པས་
   དེ་རྗེས་སེམས་ཅན་གྱི་དོན་དུ་ངེས་པར་འབྱུང་།
4. Since arising to the welfare of sentient beings will not be complete without definite emergence arising effortlessly, that is after that;
   ངེས་འབྱུང་འབད་མེད་དུ་འབྱུང་བ་མེད་པར་སེམས་ཅན་གྱི་དོན་དུ་འབྱུང་བ་རྫོགས་པར་མི་འགྱུར་བས་དེ་རྗེས་སུ་འབད་མེད་ལྷུན་གྲུབ་ཀྱི་ངེས་འབྱུང་།
5. Since that will not arise effortlessly without arising to freedom from the extremes of permanence and annihilation, that is after that;
   རྟག་ཆད་ཀྱི་མཐའ་དང་བྲལ་བར་འབྱུང་བ་མེད་པར་འབད་མེད་དུ་འབྱུང་བར་མི་འགྱུར་བས་དེ་རྗེས་མཐའ་ལས་འདས་པའི་ངེས་འབྱུང་།
6. Since that does not exist without the arising to the special occasion of completing the individual classes of qualities of the three vehicles, that is after that; ཐེག་པ་གསུམ་སོ་སོའི་ཡོན་ཏན་གྱི་རིགས་རྫོགས་པའི་གནས་སྐབས་ཁྱད་པར་ཅན་དུ་
   འབྱུང་བ་མེད་པར་མཐའ་འདས་སུ་འབྱུང་བ་མེད་པས་དེ་རྗེས་ཐོབ་པའི་མཚན་ཉིད་དུ་ངེས་པར་འབྱུང་བ།
7. Since that does not exist without definite emergence to the exalted knower of all aspects, that is after that;
   རྣམ་མཁྱེན་དུ་ངེས་པར་འབྱུང་བ་མེད་པར་ཐོབ་པ་ངེས་པར་འབྱུང་བ་མེད་པས་དེ་རྗེས་སུ་རྣམ་མཁྱེན་དུ་ངེས་པར་འབྱུང་བ་དང་།
8. Since that does not exist without the path definite emergence, that is indicated after that.
   ལམ་གྱི་ངེས་འབྱུང་མེད་པར་རྣམ་མཁྱེན་དུ་ངེས་པར་འབྱུང་བ་མེད་པས་དེ་རྗེས་ལམ་གྱི་ཡུལ་ཅན་གྱི་ངེས་པར་འབྱུང་བའི་སྒྲུབ་པ་བསྟན་པའི་ཕྱིར།

ངེས་པར་འབྱུང་ཚུལ་ཡོད་དེ། ཆོས་ཐམས་ཅད་བདེན་པར་མི་དམིགས་པར་རྟོགས་པ་ཉིད་ཀྱིས་ངེས་པར་འབྱུང་བའི་ཕྱིར།
Mode of definite emergence: By way of the very realisation of non-observation of all phenomena as truly existent.

ངེས་འབྱུང་སྒྲུབ་པ་ལ་བརྒྱད་དུ་འབྱེད་པའི་རྒྱུ་མཚན་ཡོད་དེ། ངེས་པར་འབྱུང་བའི་གཞི་ལ་བརྒྱད་དུ་ཡོད་པས་དེ་ལྟར་ཕྱེ་བའི་ཕྱིར།
Eight practices due to eight bases of definite emergence:

1. The previously explained objective (three greatnesses) སྔར་བཤད་པའི་ཆེད་དུ་བྱ་བ་ཆེན་པོ་གསུམ།
2. Realisation of all phenomena as equal ཆོས་ཐམས་ཅད་མཉམ་པ་ཉིད་དུ་རྟོགས་པ།
3. Enacting the limitless welfare of sentient beings (that to be attained) with compassion
   སྙིང་རྗེས་སེམས་ཅན་གྱི་དོན་ཐོབ་པར་བྱ་བ་སྟེ་མཐའ་ཡས་པར་བྱེད་པ།
4. Making others' welfare effortless and spontaneous through the union of those two
   དེ་གཉིས་ཟུང་དུ་འབྲེལ་བས་གཞན་དོན་འབད་མེད་ལྷུན་གྲུབ་ཏུ་བྱེད་པ།
5. Nirvana through non-abiding in the particular occasion of separation from the previous extreme (samsara) and the later extreme (annihilation) in dependence on the path of union ཟུང་འཇུག་གི་ལམ་ལ་བརྟེན་ནས་
   རྟག་པ་སྔོན་མཐའ་འཁོར་བ་དང་ཆད་པ་ཕྱི་མཐའ་གཉིས་དང་བྲལ་བར་བྱེད་པའི་གནས་སྐབས་ཀྱི་ཁྱད་པར་མི་གནས་པས་མྱང་འདས།
6. Attaining all classes of realisation of abandonment that is the objective to be attained of the three vehicles through the Mothers (?) ཡུམ་གྱུར་ཡོད་པ་ལས་ཐེག་པ་གསུམ་གྱི་ཐོབ་བྱའི་དོན་སྤངས་རྟོགས་ཀྱི་རིགས་ཐམས་ཅད་ཐོབ་པ།
7. Previously explained exalted knower of all aspects that is the entity of non-conceptual exalted wisdom
   རྣམ་པ་ཐམས་ཅད་མཁྱེན་པ་ཉིད་ནི། ཞེས་སོགས་སྔར་བཤད་པའི་མི་རྟོག་ཡེ་ཤེས་ཀྱི་ངོ་བོ་ཉིད་ཀྱི་རྣམ་མཁྱེན།
8. The special path of that exalted knower of all aspects
   རྣམ་མཁྱེན་དེའི་ཁྱད་པར་གྱི་ལམ་སྟེ་བརྒྱད་ཡོད་པའི་ཕྱིར།

ས་མཚམས་ནི། དག་པ་ས་གསུམ་གྱི་གནས་སྐབས་ན་ཡོད་དོ།
Boundaries: exists on the three pure grounds.

ངེས་འབྱུང་སྒྲུབ་པ་བརྒྱད་པོ་འདི་ངེས་པར་འབྱུང་ས་མཐར་ཐུག་ཏུ་འབྱིན་བྱེད་ཡིན་ལ།
These eight practices of definite emergence are the final inducers of the destination of definite emergence.

There are two:

1. Final by way of learners སློབ་པའི་སྒོ་ནས་མཐར་ཐུག་པ།
2. Final by way of non-learners མི་སློབ་པའི་སྒོ་ནས་མཐར་ཐུག་པ།

དང་པོ་བདུན་པོ་དེ་མི་སློབ་པའི་ལམ་དུ་ཡོད་ལ། ཐ་མ་སློབ་ལམ་ན་ཡོད་པའི་ཕྱིར་ཏེ།
དེ་ཡིན་ན་རྣམ་མཁྱེན་གྱི་རྒྱུའི་ལམ་ཁྱད་པར་དུ་འགྱུར་བ་བར་ཆད་མེད་པའི་རྩེ་སྦྱོར་ཡིན་དགོས་པའི་ཕྱིར།
The first seven exist on the path of no more learning.
The last exists on the learner paths because if it is that, it is necessarily an uninterrupted peak application that becomes a special path that is the cause of the exalted knower of all aspects.
