Serial application

མཁྱེན་གསུམ་གྱི་རྣམ་པ་སྒོམ་པ་ལ་བརྟན་པ་ཐོབ་དོན་དུ་མཁྱེན་གསུམ་གྱི་རྣམ་པ་སྒོམ་པར་བྱེད་པའི་ཤེས་རབ་ཀྱིས་ཟིན་པའི་སེམས་དཔའི་རྣལ་འབྱོར་གང་ཞིག
རྒྱུན་མཐའི་སྔ་ལོགས་ཚུན་ཆད་ཀྱིས་བསྡུས་པ། མཐར་གྱིས་སྦྱོར་གྱི་མཚན་ཉིད།
Definition: That which is:

1. A Bodhisattva yoga conjoined with the wisdom cultivating the aspects of the three exalted knowers in order to attain stability wrt cultivating the aspects of the three exalted knowers; and
2. Included in that up to but not including the end of the continuum.

Divisions: (13)

• Path ལམ་གྱི་མཐར་གྱིས་པ།
  • Six perfections སྦྱིན་སོགས་ཕར་ཕྱིན་དྲུག་གི་མཐར་གྱིས་སྦྱོར་བ་དྲུག
• Distinguishing the path ལམ་ཁྱད་པར་དུ་བྱེད་པའི་མཐར་གྱིས་པ།
  • Six recollections རྗེས་དྲན་དྲུག་གི་མཐར་གྱིས་སྦྱོར་བ་དྲུག
    1. Buddha སངས་རྒྱས་རྗེས་སུ་དྲན་པ།
    2. Dharma ཆོས་རྗེས་སུ་དྲན་པ།
    3. Sangha དགེ་འདུན་རྗེས་སུ་དྲན་པ།
    4. Ethics ཚུལ་ཁྲིམས་རྗེས་སུ་དྲན་པ།

  1. Serial application of the entitiness of non-things དངོས་མེད་ངོ་བོ་ཉིད་ཀྱི་མཐར་གྱིས་སྦྱོར་བ།

ས་མཚམས་ཐེག་ཆེན་གྱི་ཚོགས་ལམ་ནས་རྒྱུན་མཐའི་སྔ་ལོགས་ཀྱི་བར་དུ་ཡོད།
Boundaries: Mahayana path of accumulation and up to but not including the end of the continuum.

Boundaries in this context: From the second moment of the Mahayana path of preparation; because it is the result of Peak application.

སྦྱིན་པ་ཉམས་ལེན་གྱི་བྱ་བས་ཟིན་པའི་མཁྱེན་གསུམ་གྱི་རྣམ་པ་ལ་བརྟན་པ་ཐོབ་དོན་དུ་མཁྱེན་གསུམ་གྱི་རྣམ་པ་རིམ་གྱིས་སྒོམ་པའི་ཤེས་རབ་ཀྱིས་ཟིན་པའི་སེམས་དཔའི་རྣལ་འབྱོར་གང་ཞིག རྒྱུན་མཐའི་སྔ་ལོགས་ཚུན་ཆད་ཀྱིས་བསྡུས་པ། སྦྱིན་པའི་མཐར་གྱིས་སྦྱོར་གྱི་མཚན་ཉིད། དེས་ཕར་ཕྱིན་ལྷག་མ་ལྔ་ལ་རིགས་འགྲེའོ།
Definition of peak application of generosity: That which is:

1. A Bodhisattva yoga conjoined with the wisdom cultivating the aspects of the three exalted knowers in order to attain stability wrt cultivating the aspects of the three exalted knowers and conjoined with the activity of the practice of generosity; and
2. Included in that up to but not including the end of the continuum.

Apply similarly to the remaining perfections.

སངས་རྒྱས་རྗེས་དྲན་གྱི་ཉམས་ལེན་གྱི་བྱ་བས་ཟིན་པའི། ཞེས་སོགས། སངས་རྒྱས་རྗེས་དྲན་གྱི་མཐར་གྱིས་སྦྱོར་གྱི་མཚན་ཉིད།
Definition of peak application of the recollection of the Buddha: As above but with and conjoined with the activity of the practice of the recollection of the Buddha.
Apply similarly to the remaining recollections.

མཐར་གྱིས་སྦྱོར་སྒོམ་ཚུལ་ཡོད་དེ། བྱ་རྫོགས་ཀྱི་སྐད་ཅིག་མའི་ཐུང་མཐའ་གཅིག་ལ་མཁྱེན་གསུམ་གྱི་རྣམ་པ་བརྒྱ་བདུན་ཅུ་རྩ་གསུམ་གོ་རིམ་ངེས་ཅན་དུ་
སྒོམ་པ་ལ་བརྟན་པ་ཐོབ་དོན་དུ་དེ་རྣམས་དཀྱུས་གཅིག་ལ་སྒོམ་པ་དེ་དེའི་དོན་ཡིན་པའི་ཕྱིར།
Mode of cultivating: In order to attain stability wrt cultivating the 173 aspects of the three exalted knowers in definite sequence within the shortest instant for the completion of an action, cultivating those linearly.

དེ་ལྟར་སྒོམ་པ་ཡང་ཆོས་བཅུ་གསུམ་གྱིས་ཟིན་པའི་སྒོ་ནས་ཚོགས་ལམ་གྱི་སྐབས་སུ་སྒོམ་པ་མཐར་གྱིས་སྤྱོད་པ་དང་།
སྦྱོར་ལམ་གྱི་སྐབས་སུ་སྒོམ་པ་མཐར་གྱིས་སློབ་པ། མཐོང་སྒོམ་གྱི་སྐབས་སུ་སྒོམ་པ་མཐར་གྱིས་ནན་ཏན་དུ་བགྱི་བ་ཡིན།
Moreover, by way of such cultivation being conjoined with the thirteen topics:

• On the path of accumulation the cultivation is serially engaged in
• On the path of preparation the cultivation is serially trained in
• On the paths of seeing and meditation, the cultivation is serially and consistently done

Gungtang:

Way of subsuming the last four perfections in the perfection of wisdom:
ཕར་ཕྱིན་མཐའ་མ་བཞི་ནི་ཤེས་རབ་ཀྱི་ཕར་ཕྱིན་གྱི་ནང་དུ་འདུ་ཚུལ།

1. Skilful means: Having cultivated the perfection of wisdom in meditative equipoise, transforming that virtue into complete enlightenment during subsequent attainment
   མཉམ་བཞག་ཏུ་ཤེར་ཕྱིན་བསྒོམ་པའི་རྗེས་ཐོབ་ཏུ་དགེ་བ་རྫོགས་བྱང་དུ་བསྒྱུར་པའི་ཐབས་མཁས།
2. Power: Wisdom that outshines its discordant class མི་མཐུན་ཕྱོགས་ཟིལ་གྱིས་གནོན་པའི་ཤེས་རབ་སྟོབས།
3. Prayer: Wisdom accomplishing the objectives of one's prayers ཇི་ལྟར་སྨོན་པའི་གནས་འགྲུབ་པའི་ཤེས་རབ་སྨོན་ལམ།
4. Exalted wisdom: Wisdom differentiating limitless doors of dharma
   ཆོས་སྒོ་མཐའ་ཡས་པ་འབྱེད་པའི་ཤེས་རབ་ཡེ་ཤེས།

བཞིར་འདུ་བ་རྒྱན་སྣང་ལྟར་དང་། ཚིག་གསལ་ཡང་ཕལ་ཆེར་འདྲའོ།
This is in accordance with Illumination of the Ornament (Great Commentary) and is mostly similar to Clear Words.
